Ellis Park

Beautiful views ,cute boat houses and a trail to walk around and see all of the geese. The city of Cedar Rapids even rents out garden plots here during the spring(first come first serve)

It's a very nice park next to the river with pretty views.

This was my go-to pool this summer enjoyed the adult lap swims and walks in the park with my dog..

This a nice park if you like woods, prairie or water. Many diffrent picnic areas and pavilions to rent and nice nature areas, nothing big and fancy but great.city.park

Beautiful. I love the lookout point. The view is great. Nice place to walk dogs. Peaceful park. Several pavilions that you can have events in. The rose garden is a great place to take pictures

Was there for a family activity. Ellis park is a great place.

Ellis has long been one of my favorite parks as there's something for everyone there. Water shows and boat shows, playground, pool, quiet areas for reflection or coming with nature, large previous located on idyllic flat land overlooking gold and the river, fishing, hiking, even golf right next door. Well kept and well maintained. Pride of Cedar Rapids!

Perfect place to play, barbecue, play tennis and basketball. Close to the water with a walking trail. Lots of trees, grass and fresh air!

Very nice place for anyone looking to take themselves or their kids to a park, to walk a trail, play by the water, or for any outdoor sports fun. So many things to do in one area even when no scheduled events are taking place at the time of you going. Also a great place to take some awesome pictures! There are quite a few, super unique, rock bridges and paths that are also great for photos!

We decided to get a small pavilion at Ellis Park for a family group. It was a beautiful day and Ellis Park and the river is so pretty. The pavilions are different sizes just check out the park to see what you want. We had a smaller one right by Ellis boulevard and parking was close by. We brought our own table and chairs and the pavilion was big enough for everyone to sit in and talk but small enough that you didn't have to yell at somebody to get their attention. Just a really nice nice place.
In Ellis Park there is also a 18-hole golf course for your pleasure. There is a swimming pool duck ponds flower gardens boat ramp to the river baseball diamonds I believe there's a tennis court and a beautiful Shakespeare's garden. You can rent a pavilion or the pool or ball diamonds for something private. Ideal place for kids birthdays that way you don't have them messing up your lawn and dirty little fingerprints on your doors and counters. Check on the city of Cedar Rapids website for any costs and other ideas for use in the park.

Holy smokes. What a great park. Right by the water, this little gem is phenomenal. With playground equipment, basketball courts, tennis courts and gorgeous walking trails I forsee spending ample time exploring all the treasures this spot has to offer. Check it out!

Peaceful and not a far drive from home.

Beautiful park. Lots of green space for roaming and connecting with nature. Tennis court completely fenced in with 2 courts. 2 different children's play structures. (Big one at the bottom, small one at the top of the hill) baseball/softball diamonds, at least 4 pavilions, volleyball court, sitting garden with flowers. An absolutely perfect park.

My twin 2 year old grandsons love it here! The mature trees keep the equipment cool when it's hot and sunny. There are lots of options for play equipment, shelters, ball diamonds, and the pool. It's an awesome place to play!!

Great place to catch fresh air!!! I've been coming here 30 years.

Nice park love the golf course kids like the pool. Well maintained. Only complaint is wish they would make the Shakespeare n garden as nice as it use to be they never redid it after the flood

I grew up in this park. It's big and has play ground areas, swimming pool, horseshoe area, pavilions, grills, sandpit volleyball court & softball/baseball diamonds. Everything one needs to have fun in the great outdoors!

Great park in CR. You can rent out the shelter houses. We like to walk around and look at all the boat houses.
