Comfort Inn & Suites Cedar Rapids North - Collins Road

First off, ignore all the 1 star reviews!! This hotel was clean, comfortable, easy to locate, and most importantly NO bed bugs. Those posting those reviews must have had a beef with someone who worked at the hotel before.

Second, the breakfast was standard free breakfast with stay fair. Not bad, but if you want great food, don’t expect it to be free hotel food at a hotel of this price range. That being said, the selection was decent. The orange juice was tasty. The coffee was strong enough to keep me going first thing in the morning after a long drive the day before.

Third, and this is a personal preference, the bed was a little hard for my comfort. That being said it was clean and comfortable after a very long exhausting day.

The night auditor was helpful and friendly. The morning auditor cares very much about the hotel and wants the guests to enjoy their stay.

Very clean property overall. Gentleman working overnight reception desk very courteous and accommodating. Drove all day to reach Cedar Rapids and this gentleman allowed us to use pool facitilies fifteen minutes past the closing time. Breakfast room spotless and supplied accordingly with cold and hot options. 24 hour hot coffee and water is a nice touch. Three bed suite met our requirements for a great price. Hassle free onsite parking in the lot. Wifi never went out. Would return if in Cedar Rapids area on vacation!

Nicely updated and clean facility. Spacious room. Comfortable bed. Decent location near 380 and Collins Rd. Parking lot is fair sized but not for semi parking.

We booked through priceline because it was cheaper but other than the price difference, everything about our stay was wonderful!

I have to mention Yaz (?) As he went above and beyond from the moment we walked in the door. Upgraded us to a suite. That was the nicest part as it was my birthday weekend. He also gave us towels because there weren't any in the room. Overall just very kind and helpful!

The pool and hot tub were up and running so we enjoyed that right away.

The light in the parking lot was no longer flashing/flickering which honestly was my favorite fix!

I appreciate you do much for taking our issues into consideration and for fixing it.

Amazing great value. Very very clean, a great hot breakfast, pool and hot tub. We love it! Shower was strong and hot. Huge TV. Small frig, microwave everything you could want in a room.

Have no complaints about our 2-night stay. We needed a handicapped accessible room with grab bars in the bathroom. The room was very well designed, clean, and spacious. The breakfast was great with many choices, both hot and cold, and nothing ran out even though the hotel was fully booked on Saturday night. All staff that we had contact with were pleasant and accommodating. If we return to Cedar Rapids in the future, we will definitely come back.

Great staff. Great owner/manager. Great location. I have been coming here weekly for about 10 months. I don’t know for sure if it’s a new manager but the hotel is more organized and much cleaner inside and out. Compared to hotels in town such as Lincoln Nebraska this is not a two star hotel it is much much better than that.

Very clean rooms. Amazing and caring staff, to the point that I was blown away by how friendly and accommodating they were to us and other guests. I haven't had such a nice experience in a "2 star" hotel in my life. I really can't complain about anything. If you're looking for a hotel, and manage to nab a room for $88 like we did, you will be impressed. My only regret was not having enough spare cash to tip the cleaning staff more.

Everything was just as we expected. Room was clean and had all the amenities we wanted. A fridge, microwave, HD TV that you can put firetv stick on. Pool is small but was heated. The hot tub was very warm and perfect. It was a little noisier than I would have liked but we use a white noise app on the phone so it worked out. Breakfast was good. Warm eggs and sausage. Also juice, yogurt, muffins. But no waffles. Another review mentioned it and noticed as well. I was close to dropping to 4 stars but some places don't even try this hard. Front desk was pretty normal stuff. Location is a little off the road but very close to restaurants and shopping. So yes I would stay here again.

Right next to the bike trail, so great for anyone wishing to ride. Clean, comfortable rooms. Well organized hot breakfast.

The staff were universally attentive and helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable and in excellent repair. The breakfast was pretty good ... which is a complement in the hotel breakfast buffet space. Carb-heavy of course, but enough choices that mostly health eating could be accomplished.

We loved our multi-day stay.

I experienced car trouble during a snow storm and called to book a room around 10am. The employee was kind enough to let me check in at 1230! I ended up booking a king suite with a jacuzzi for under $100. The hospitality I received made a rough day much more manageable. Thank you for a lovely night's rest.

One of the best hotels we've stayed at. Front desk lady before 11pm on 9-25-19 was amazing!! It was my beach's husbands 55 birthday and she handed us cupcakes and beer!

The breakfast had so many choices... pancakes, flavored waffles, fresh fruit of grapes and melons, assorted pastries, eggs, bacon, sausage, biscuits and gravy and drinks!

Housekeeping was spot on also - rooms impeccable and towels soft like home.

Fitness center and pool too! This hotel is tucked away and quiet area next to bike trail.

staff was above and beyond professional!! Kudos to Will for the excellent service upon check in!

This Comfort Inn & Suites on Werner Ave has been completely gutted and renovated. The hotel is extremely clean and the staff was very accommodating. The first thing we noticed was that all rooms are junior suites, which are very spacious and nice. All hotel room doors are solid, six panel doors. Something you just don’t normally see. I suppose the bathroom could be a bit bigger, but they were big enough.

We have traveled the mid-west (14 states) extensively for the youth sports. I’ve never worked with a hotel staff that was so willing to help and aimed to please. They allowed us to feed 40+ people in their breakfast dining area. The dining area has two 40+ inch TV’s allowing us to watch different sporting channels. We were allowed to use their large fridge. They have a very nice, large gas grill under a beautiful gazebo. Indoor pool is good size and very clean. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay and will definitely return when we re-visit Cedar Rapids in the future!

All the staff we encountered were very friendly. My kids enjoyed going to the pool. There were plenty of breakfast options. Great value for the price.

Very nice place to stay. Also the only ice machine is downstairs next to the elevator. Other than that, the breakfast is pretty good with a selection that includes waffles, pancakes, watermelon, bananas, apples, and more. The rooms are very clean and well kept.

This place is great, we rented a block as part of a wedding party. They let us use the pool after hours and were very accommodating generally. Good beds. Solid breakfast, if you have cause to get a hotel in Cedar rapids this place is great. Well maintained, clean, comfortable, just a really great experience.
