123 Exteriors Cedar Rapids

We started using 123 Exteriors in 2023, on the advice of a friend. We are glad we did. Mason was our 'go to' guy and he did all the work for us. He answered our questions and we felt at ease. He was easy to contact if we had other concerns. The crew that worked on our house was friendly and considerate. We would highly recommend. Thank you to all at 123 Exteriors who helped us.

Dylan and his siding crew were amazing to work with and they did great work! We got a lot of compliments on how well our siding looks and how fast they got it up. Would definitely recommend!!

Mason is the best to work with! He goes above and beyond with everything! We live in Bettendorf and 123 Exteriors is based out of Cedar Rapids but you would have never known that. They were always available and the service was top notch!

We are very happy with our new siding from 123 Exteriors. We would give them a 5+++ star rating out of 5. They were friendly, prompt, and helpful throughout the entire process. In fact, the day after they completed our siding, we grilled out with our grill too close to the new vinyl siding. But, 123 Exteriors was here the very next morning and replaced the warped siding with new siding and then helped us figure out a solution for future grilling. They were so pleasant and helpful! They did a great job working with our insurance company and we would not hesitate using them again in the future.

Contacted them after a big storm moved through. Within a week they were out and had pictures of the roof damage and siding. The rep I had was Dylan and he showed me every picture he took and explained it to my whether it was hail damage or wind. He knew exacting what caused it. They pretty much dealt with my insurance the whole time. I got to pick siding color roof color durability of siding and shingles . After I got them the check from insurance they had a crew out in no time. Old roof tore off, new roof put on and same for siding only took 3 days. The crews were good at clean up too wich was great. The house looks great.

123 Exteriors is a great company to work with and I would highly recommend them. Several houses in our neighborhood had hail damage and so we were curious if our house did as well. We contacted 123 and they came out right away to inspect our home to get their input as to whether or not we might have enough damage to qualify to have our insurance company cover the damage. They came out twice to inspect and then we contacted our insurance company together so they could provide any input for the claim. After we filed the claim, the insurance adjuster arrived at our house to inspect for themselves. Someone from 123 was there during the adjusters review of the damage to answer any questions. The damage we suffered from hailed covered the siding, roof, and gutters. We had no clue about how the process worked, but 123 walked us through the whole process so that we were able to make informed decisions about our home.

A monumental and at first overwhelming step in the process was selecting the siding, gutters, and roof colors and materials. Fortunately 123 exteriors had many installations in our area that we could go look at on an actual house. We are in Marion. Fortunately, 123 worked on at least 25 homes in our area so we that could look at some completed examples of their work. The person from 123 was patient and answered all of our questions during the selection process. The only suggestion I would have for 123 is to create a better, more comprehensive list of homes. I was given a couple of different lists which was at times confusing. However, that was not really that big of deal.

I also did some research on the materials they use (siding and shingles) and found that while the brands they use are not from premium manufactures, people were generally pleased with the quality.

Once we selected our materials, we signed a contract and the materials were ordered by 123. We were given a preliminary installation date, which they missed due to the weather (no fault of 123).

While we found that 123 exteriors were great to work with during the pre-installation, the installation is where they really shine. It is obvious that the owner (David) knows what he is doing and that he truly cares about quality and making his customers happy. A great example of this was what he did for our garden pond. We have a small garden pond in front of our house that means a lot to us. Within the first few minutes of the roofing crew arriving, they had already dropped several old shingles into it. To make sure our pond survived, David had his crews install a wooden platform to protect our pond. This was way above and beyond what we expected (and our fish thank you). One thing to warn you of is to be sure you remove everything from your interior walls before the siding installation. We were not warned and had several things fall off the walls and break (nothing of value fortunately).

Total time for installation (roof, siding, and gutters) was about two weeks. Once everything was complete, David came out and personally inspected everything with us to ensure we were happy. We created a small punch-list of items which were eventually rectified. This included David bringing out an electrician to wire one of our lights correctly that the crew did not do right. The only small complaint was how long it took them to complete the punch-list. It is obvious they were busy, but a half hour worth of work would have finished up everything and closed out our job. Again, it didn't take forever (maybe a few weeks), but it could have gone faster.

My first reaction was that two weeks seemed like a long time. However, after seeing my neighbors go months and months without having their installation completed using 123 competitors, it is obvious we picked the right company. They really do know what they are doing. And more importantly, their focus is making their customers happy. Our house looks absolutely terrific and given the workmanship and oversight provided by David, I am sure that the work will last for many years to come.

I highly would recommend William as your contractor. Was easy to get approved and house looks amazing.

My experience with 123 Exteriors was excellent! Throughout the entire process they were timely in responding, patient with me on responding back and explained everything that was going on or that was going to happen. When it was time for the roof work they scheduled it quickly and were done in 1 day. I've had no issues with the work or 123 Exteriors during the time they worked with me. I would recommend them to others who are looking and I'll be keeping them in mind for future work.

We used 123 Exteriors in the aftermath of the August derecho. I can't overstate how well my transactions with 123 Exteriors has been. The Project Manager, Brad, was incredible. He was always responsive to any inquiry, often actually answering his phone and not relying solely on voicemail. He worked up a thorough and professional estimate. Came out to work with both insurance adjusters. We had 2 adjusters due to being lowballed by our insurer the first time around. Brad and 123 Exteriors served as advocates throughout the process.

When the time came for roof replacement, the crew was excellent as was the quality of their work. I wholeheartedly recommend utilizing 123 Exteriors and will do so again if the need ever arises.

This company is hands down the best!I have to tell you most polite hard working people ever! I had a leak called them and within 2 hrs they came by inspected and within 10hrs they fixed it and took pictures and showed me and explained everything that they did! Good job guys thank you from the parkison family with all our hearts!

I worked as an employee for 123 for about 3 years. This is a contractor that you can count on.

Replaced our siding

Once the people who were installing the siding arrived, they did a very nice job. I was pleased with that aspect. Unfortunately, not enough siding was ordered to complete the inside of my porch. It took about a week to finally get that completed.

I found that communication is an issue with this company. I found it difficult to follow the billing process and I wonder if I didn’t pay more than I should have.

I paid out of pocket to have my garage sided, and I think the wood trim around the garage door should have been included. It wasn’t done and now I have to pay another individual to trim it up.

I’m in my 70’s and the company assigned new people to my project as others left. Each new person took a while to catch up on what was going on with my job. It was a very stressful experience for me. They were all nice young men, but I never felt we had continuity.

Many nails and pieces of metal trim were left around the house for us to clean up.

All in all, the workers were good, but usually only one of them spoke English.

They did not complete the project hired for. They will not return calls. I am attempting to finish the final payment from insurance company for last 2 months and they will not return call. Their guy who gave the estimate told me we had 2 layers of shingles on our roof that needed to be removed and the contractors said there was only one layer.
