I did not like the pace of the ER. But the wait is well worth the treatment. Each member I come in contact with are amazing, super friendly, and the caretakers are thorough. I especially like that I can see my test results on my phone through there. Patient portal. I may not know the diagnosis, but I know the results of each test. The pic is a view from my room.

Oh and one more thing. The RN let me know the scheduled times they will “check” on me throughout the night. They really put thought into the quality of care and care procedures.

Suggest a better way to gauge wait time in the ER. Still 5-star rating.

Madison Hospital and Staff,
Thank you - my recent visit for surgery was so easy and smooth. Fantastic isn’t how I would describe a surgery but they were fantastic. From my initial greeting at front desk to the wheel chair to my vehicle. The nurse, doctor's and staff made this one of the easiest experiences at a hospital. Thank you

I was taken care of from start to finish. In post op the nurse Shonta went above and beyond to make me comfortable and see that every need I had was met. She was the most amazing post op nurse that I have ever had. She definitely made a difference in how I felt. I’ve had several surgeries but she is definitely the best I have ever had. I was the last surgery and I am sure they were all ready to be done but never once did I get that feeling from her. She was attentive from the moment she got me til she put me in my car.

After some dizzy episodes and nearly blacking out over several years, I was advised by a medical receptionist at my primary care office to get to an ER instead of there. Two days later, I was in Madison with my sister for car service, and I asked her if could go by Madison Hospital to get a couple of head pictures and be directed where I should go, if even needed. Instead, I was admitted that night. Totally unprepared for that! The entire staff from ER to third floor were so accommodating! I met fine cardiologists who listened and responded. After five days, I was dismissed with (finally!!) a diagnosis and heart monitor. During all of the years of being told by most of my physicians that "most people experience dizziness when arising too fast, or your medications may be causing it," we now know that my heart was stopping for several seconds during those episodes I was having due to a heart nerve block.
I can't say enough about how highly esteemed I hold EVERY SINGLE PERSON who had me in their care at Madison Hospital, from ER to third floor staff and dismissal. They saved my life.
Food was sensational, too, I must add!
Thank you to all!

The emergency room was very quick and prompt at getting me in at as fast as possible. The staff was very nice and knowledgeable. I had to have surgery to remove my gallbladder and I came in at 930 in pain and by 330 I was out of surgery. All in one day. 6 hours for everything. I highly recommend this ER over any of the others! Thank you to Dr Hunt who preformed my surgery I feel so much better!

My experience at Madison Hospital was perfect. I delivered my baby girl on the 31st of January - the nurses and my doctor, Dr. Clem, took excellent care of both me and my beautiful daughter. The promptness of admission and complete understanding of each staff member’s care of our needs during our stay, is unlike previous experiences at any hospital I have visited. My husband and I are grateful for the service that was provided by this facility. I would definitely recommend Madison Hospital for all your health care needs.

I can’t say enough about the staff at the Madison Hospital. Entering the emergency room to the patient room I have seen the quality services offered here. The nurses and doctors are professional, kind and have the best bedside manners ever. It is not my desire to check in the hospital on a regular basis, but if I do please take me to the Madison Hospital!!!!

Very nice staff and access to facility was easy.
During the recovery, the drink option should expand to include Dr Pepper.
The sidewalk near the door was super bumpy for the wheel chair during the discharge. Though it was just a small section and it didn’t affect me, but the bumpiness may cause others who may be in pain to feel worse.

Every bit of my care was excellent, from the ER staff shout out to Kaitlynn my nurse and the volunteers there, to my emergency appendectomy Dr Bess, and the anesthesiologist and surgery room staff, recovery nurse Katie, and the 3 nurses that cared for me Marcy, Meghan, and Deanna. Room was very nice and everyone in the hospital professional and caring! Don’t want to be sick but if I am would go to this hospital again!!!

Every single person involved in my husband's procedure is rated a "10". In our 18 years in this area, we have never even come close to the perfect experience we had at Madison. The radiologist and anesthesiologist were exceptional in talking with myself and my husband..... totally put us ease, which meant a lot. Thank you everyone.

I had a procedure done at Madison hospital 1/23/24 ... First off Madison hospital has to be the most beautiful hospital I had ever seen looks brand new even though it's been there for 12 yrs I do believe.
The nurses were so kind and had this warm tone when speaking to me, they told me everything they were going to do right before they did it..
Dr. Tucker and the OR team very professional. They went over everything that they were going to do before they put me to sleep ... Thank you Madison hospital for take such good care of me 😊

Having a medical procedure is never fun. However, this facility made it so much better. Every nurse and employee I came in contact with was so nice. One nurse in particular, Lolita, was the an epitome of graciousness. She went out of her way to make me comfortable and happy. I hope coming here is a choice for all future procedures.

Recently I had an amazing experience with Madison Hospital. Yes...I went in via the ER and had to wait for hours...but it seems that is the new normal. Expect nothing different. But the team of medical professionals I had, in the ER and when admitted into the hospital, was 100% professional in every way. They gave me the best care, did not stop searching and testing until they found the underlying cause of my condition, and acknowledged me as an actual human being...not a medical condition or just another case. So helpful. So careful. So wonderful. I want to thank the entire team from the doctors and nurses, to housekeeping, the excellent dietary team, and even the discharge planners. I appreciate you all more than you will ever know.

They have a bunch of sweet, caring professionals at Madison. They actually talk to you and care what you have to say. They’re not just shuffling you through, doing their job, they’re treating you as a whole person, not just another procedure. I would use them again and I would recommend them.

My husband was in the ER on 2/27/24 with DKA and pancreatitis. Jacob was his nurse, and he took excellent care of my husband while in the ER. He was admitted to ICU, and the entire nursing staff and doctors that took care of him went above and beyond. Thank you all so much for the care you provided him.

From the lady in security who was walking in to work, already making us feel welcome and opening the door for us, to registration ( I think her name was Nancy?) who was kind, helpful and very personable, it was a great first experience. My nurse, Jo, in preop, did a fantastic job. She was thorough in explaining all she was doing and why. She constantly washed her hands with the Purell as she went in and out, changed gloves, etc. After she started my IV, perfectly I might add, she asked me if I was a nurse. I just smiled and said yes, an OR nurse at that! Now you know why I paid attention to every little thing! Roland (?) was my circulating nurse who was also thorough and kind and had a great smile! I was introduced to everyone in the OR but, I apologize, can’t remember their names. I do remember their smiles and kindness. I remember the person standing on my left placing a hand on my arm in comfort as I went to sleep. Needless to say, anesthesia did a lovely job since I remember nothing until I was taken to PACU. Chauntei was an attentive nurse making my comfort her ultimate goal.
Everything was nice and clean. If there was one thing I could say for an improvement would be serve coke instead of Pepsi! lol
