Just gorgeous! It was about a 50-60 minute hike in at a moderate pace to this beautiful waterfalls and backdrop. The weather was perfect for it and the trail wasn't very busy. The climb up wasn't too difficult if you are used to walking or hiking, and the trail was easy enough to follow if you kept an eye out for the signs and your eyes on the ground for rocks and roots!

Moderate hike on well maintained trails. Amazing waterfall that disappears into the rocks and emerges at the spring a mile away.

Nothing better than a trail that ends in a waterfall. Nice hike to Lost Sink Falls, a waterfall into a deep, cavernous sinkhole.

Short, relatively easy trail, but requires hiking shoes due to roots, rocks, and slippery spots after rainfall. My old himing boots died halfway to the top. RIP!

The trail is marked with small signs in appropriate intervals and meanders uphill in long switch backs towards the sinkhole. You can hear the falls from 200-300m away.

Steep drop to the bottom, which is roughly 30'+ below. Exercise extreme caution during low visibility conditions.

Beautiful hike in late May. Some uphill “stair climbing”. Took us much longer than other reviews suggest it will take, with a 6 year-old in tow. This should be a statement of encouragement for anyone wanting to hike with a young family. I wish I had timed our way up, but it took us 45 minutes to walk back down. (Obviously, it took longer to get up.) Beautiful fall.
There is not a place to swim- don’t bother with a swimsuit.

This was a fun hike. The parking lot doesn’t have a sign on the road so it’s easy to miss. I think it took us around 25-30 minutes to get to the falls. A few times we did get off trail and had to pull up AllTrails to get back on the path. If you don’t have the app, download it before you go on this hike. Multiple spots the trail seems to disappear. This waterfall is really tall and the way it looks with the hole there is awesome. We walked down to the base of the falls which it can be slick so be careful. It was a cool experience. You can also see it from the top where there is a slight ledge to walk on. Be careful though. There is nothing to catch you if you slip and fall. Really nice on a weekday. We only passed one person and that was on our way back to the trailhead and they had just started the hike.

First of all don't go on the GPS directions. You will end up at someone's house and no sign of a trailhead. You actually want to go to the Keel Perserve site. It's about an hour/ mile hike up the hill. Some spots are level and some are a little steeper rocks. We were able to do it with a 5 year old and 10 year old with little complaining. The view once you get there is absolutely stunning. It's almost like a small canyon. There is a waterfall but it's not even the most awe-inspiring of the scenery. I would love to go back in the Fall to see the colors changing.

The head of the trail is a small parking area, look up “Keel Mountain Reserve”. Nice hike with low traffic, mostly narrow trail with a gradual incline to the falls. Round trip with frequent stops and about 25 min at the falls took about 3.5 hours. When you get to the falls it’s pretty steep with loose shale going down into the “sink” but you don’t have to descend far to feel a temperature change.

Totally worth the hike up. This trail was fairly easy with just two areas that had a more intermediate level incline. DOG FRIENDLY! We had a blast on this hike and would recommend this trail to anyone. Pack a lunch and relax at the waterfall for a truly tranquil experience.

Easy to moderate hike with very scenic view! Once you make it to the sink hole, you are rewarded with a very cool & refreshing breeze! Well worth the hike… especially if the waterfall is flowing! So don’t be shy to actually go inside the sink hole but watch your step 😎✌🏽

Beautiful little falls accessible by a fairly short hike. Search google maps for “Keel Mountain Preserve” for navigation to the trailhead parking lot.

Relatively easy out and back hike at just under 3 miles round trip to a beautiful waterfall into a sink hole. It's uphill to the waterfall so the hike back is easier. Older reviews say it's not well marked but it's now one of the best marked I've hiked in a while and very easy to follow (thanks to whomever put in the hard work). About a 45 minute hike each way at an easy pace. If you go after a recent rain the waterfall is more impressive.

Took my family on a hike up lost sink falls. We enjoyed every moment of it. This is great for families with kids and dogs. It takes about 2 hours to go up to the water fall and come back. During the fall and spring before the leaves are on trees there are amazing views. I would recommend this trail.

My lady actually found this Falls while searching for a waterfall and since her and I am also my brother who lives up there had never been we decided to go find it. It's a bit of a climb as it goes up but levels out in some places. Hike is moderate but it is beautiful none the less, the views at the end were worth it as the falls itself were running and made a nice waterfall. Fell nothing short or pretty amazing. Would definitely tell people about this gem and if you're in the area go find it.

Great hike. Google maps takes you almost to the parking but not quite. Drive just a little further and parking lot will be there. Hike is steep but not bad. You will know when you get to the falls/trickle. Really cool rocks on the hike up.

After the mildly strenuous hike up here, the sound of rushing water was certainly a wondrous thing, with much cooler air than the surrounding landscape. Unfortunately the area around the falls themselves are closed due to the fragile nature of the landscape, but that doesn't hinder your view.

Just after Candlestand Circle. Look for small gravel parking area with preserve sign on right. Definitely wet and moderate difficulty. Dogs off leash but we did run into a curled up resting Timber Rattler. 2 feet from trail. Really nice trail. Not very many views. Water fall was minimal flow but really cool

Great area to go hiking in. Best viewing of the falls would likely be in the days following a good rain. Water is almost always flowing but not at high volume. The hike is pretty difficult and has a pretty steep incline, so bring water and be prepared. Highly suggest not hiking much further past the waterfall as the trail becomes convoluted. If you're just wanting to see a waterfall with an easier hike, I recommend Bethel Springs Nature Preserve which is only about 10 minutes from here. Happy Trails!

Hard to find the sign, look to the left when GPS says you are there. Great hike and really cool place to visit. Make sure you take water.

It's called "snake eyes". It's one of a pair of similar geologic features keel mountain has to offer. Hidden cave behind the waterfall at the bottom goes for quite the distance. DONT TRY TO RAPPEL TOWARD THE WAYERFALL UNLESS YOU ARE EXPERIENCED. ALSO DO NOT LEAVE YOUR ROPES, TAKE THEM WITH YOU. ABANDONED ROPES WILL DRY ROT AND KILL/INJURE UNSUSPECTING CAVE GOERS.
