Our second time there. Never disappoint. Great hike for people like us over 65 with grandchildren.🤗 Colors were changing but not peak, yet. Beautiful reflection on the pond and covered bridge has windows that frame the view to the pond. Will go back!!

This is a wonderful park with a beautiful walking trail around a picturesque lake. With the covered bridge, it is absolutely stunning! Restrooms are on site as well. Make note of the 4:30 closing signs.

The nature trail is as beautiful as ever, except for the atrocity of a subdivision being built directly behind the chapel. I'm grateful that my husband and I were able to exchange our vows there years ago, but it's disappointing to know that nobody else will be able to share their special day without a bunch of ugly houses in the background instead of the beautiful, thick forest that was once there.

This place is very neat, and has some nice walking trails, picnic areas, and a large pond for fishing. There are a few neat little fairy homes the kids will like, and the covered bridge is cool too. Don’t get excited to see the “moonshine still” as it’s just a hodgepodge of items trying to represent an old still, but it’s far from realistic. It’s a nice place to spend some time if you’re looking for things to do in the area.

Very peaceful and well-maintained trail. The main trail is gravel and wood chips, and very clearly marked as it goes around the water. There are several off-shoots if you would like a longer hike, or just keep going around the loop. Plenty of seating at the entrance with picnic tables, wooden chairs, and even a couple bench swings. You can go out on the little pier and enjoy the fresh air, and there are multiple points of interest as you go along the trail. Very dog-friendly with fresh water at the start. Make sure you pay attention to the time if you're there close to sunset, because they close the gate every night. They recently added signs throughout the loop to help inform hikers of this, although the hours have always been posted at the beginning.

All-in-all, well worth the visit, and usually not too crowded, which is nice. We enjoy coming here with all of our family, including our dog and toddler as well as grandparents and great-grandma.

We absolutely love this trail! It's beautiful all year round and well maintained. There's beauty the entire way. There are picnic benches, swings, and places to stop and sit a spell if you get tired on the trail.

This is a great place for a little hike around the lake, and has tables and a pavilion perfect for homeschoolers enjoying a day outdoors, though I am mostly posting this review to acknowledge and thank the men who work and maintain this trail. Each time we come they are so welcoming and friendly, especially to the kids. I’ve attached a photo of them showing our group a fern that is on the property, they brought it down and let the kids investigate it while they told it’s history and how they care for it. They answered the kids questions so genuinely, and really just took the time to talk with them, which was a highlight for everyone that day! Not only this, but on a separate occasion with a different group these men were so kind and helpful when a friend lost her phone out on the trail, even going to look for it themselves and celebrating with us when we let them know we found it. These may seem like small things, but they make a memorable impact, and I didn’t want them to go unnoticed. Thank you for your kindness and all you do to help this be a safe and enjoyable place to enjoy God’s creation!

A beautiful lake and walking trail. The place is well kept and cared for. Highly recommend for hiking and bringing a picnic lunch. It has restrooms and plenty of seating and benches. Fishing is allowed for a small fee.

Beautiful place to bring the family or fur babies! Took our daughters Senior photos here & it was just perfect at the golden hour but be warned--it can get pretty busy! We were lucky to find the spot by the dock but there were about 6 other families & couples trying to take photos at the same time. Please also BE AWARE (AND KIND) and leave before closing time...When we were there at 4:30--the poor guy working there was having a hard time trying to get everyone to leave at closing--we left right at 4:25 & there were still about 25 cars in the parking lot.

Absolutely love this place! Just up Green Mountain and free! Beautiful scenic stroll through the woods with plenty to see and great areas to have a picnic or a photo shot! Great for kids of all ages; my 3 year old loves it!

Simply beautiful. The trail is about 1.7 miles round trip and a mix of gravel and dirt. It's extremely well maintained, and they're actively rerouting sections to avoid erosions. There's only one moderate climb, and there are a few bits where you have to do some stepping over small roots or small rocks. It's definitely doable with a rugged stroller.

This is an amazing easy to walk trail with beautiful sights. The path can go left or right and loops around a nice sized lake teaming with life. During spring and summer you can see the fish and turtles. Lots of learning opportunities while waking around from the Cabin, to Moonshine still.
Be warned the park as a rustic pavilion that marriages take place occasionally causing it to be a little too full and sensory overload from the unusually large number of people.

Bit of a drive to get to if you don’t live in the area, but it’s a nice place to take your dog for a walk. Will look even nicer in the summertime!

Wonderful place to take a nice walk through the woods, relax by the pond, and learn a little history. They have even added a new memorial to the armed forces.
