Madison Hospital Emergency Department

I was greeted at the car by a security guard with a wheelchair and taken inside the ER. After signing in I was called to Triage very quickly. My entire experience was a great one . Various x-rays and tests were completed. All of the persons who participated in my care were very kind. I arrived around 5 pm on Sunday and expected that I would be there for many hours. To my shock there were not many persons in the waiting room. I was taken to Triage quickly and within 30 minutes i was taken for x-rays. I was called to a room rather quickly and was given various tests and discharged by 9:20 pm! I cannot recall the names of all who took care of me but I recall Katelyn and Dr. Young. In the past there have been instances where A trip to the ER has taken several hours but my visit this time was very short given the time of day of my arrival. I was pleased not to spend 8 or 10 hours in the ER!

Check in and triage was fairly quick. Getting to see the Doc took some time, but it things progressed pretty quick after that. MRI taken, results completed, and treatment started in about 45 min. My nurse was fantastic, very professional and caring. Check in at 9pm, released about 2am.

Probably the best hospital experience I've had. Huntsville hospital saved my life once, but the crew here at Madison... The facility... The general atmosphere is get it done! With a smile!!!

This staff didn't sit behind the desk on their phones or play with each other at the nurse's station. They didn't act like the call light was a nuisance. I was 1000% impressed. Now I know
where I'll be going from now on!

Our nurse staff was amazing except Ben he was a tech. He was rude and would rather hum instead of talking to us. Broke and Michael were the best nurses and Chandler was the best tech. There's not enough space to address all the nurses and techs that helped us. So glad we transferred her to Huntsville from Hamilton AL.

The staff were friendly and professional. They listened to us, were very kind to us, and valued my input in my daughter’s treatment. I am very happy with the care that my daughter received. Thank you to all the members of staff that took care of my daughter. I greatly appreciate it.

Staff was very courteous, highly efficient, and well organized. As a patient I felt comfortable, confident I'm receiving the exact care needed. The facilities presented a clean and healthy environment.

I broke my leg and had to come into the ER. Everyone that I encountered at Madison Hospital was awesome. They were so professional and caring. I especially appreciate my nurse Wendy. I have taken my daughter there to get stitches and they did such a good job with her.

I was thoroughly surprised at how professional, lovely, and understanding the staff of Madison Hospital's ER were! They made my visit go from worrying to relieving with a plan in mind, all while getting treated and released in only a handful of hours! Even with my long list of medications, medical history, and current condition all of the nurses and the doctors kept up with it. Let alone, some even did some extra research on their end to understand further.

It was an eye-opening experience and I highly recommend them!

Overall, my service was very fast. The staff was super kind and the nurses were good at their jobs. I received treatment that helped me breathe. I am so grateful for such expeditious care.

Madison ER went above and beyond, with every need i had they catered to them! The whole staff was wonderful, the doctors seemed very concerned with what i had going on, like every ER you will have a long wait. However it was not a long wait of “waisted time” if that makes sense. A nurse that specifically stood out and went above and beyond and you could tell she wasn’t there for just a paycheck was Emily! She was very kind and caring and brought a-lot of sunshine to every room that she was in. So a big shout out to Emily! You are wonderful at your job and you do it magnificently!

My family member was in the ER for quite a long time recently! I was there the entire time with them and was very impressed with the incredible care we received! All of the nurses were very competent, compassionate and attentive! The director of the ER also spoke with us at length! He was a very compassionate person who made us feel comfortable and cared for in a nonjudgmental environment! We highly recommend Huntsville Hospital ER in Madison and will be going back in the future if needed!

Pleasant visit and was put in the system quickly upon arrival. Needed a wheelchair and was quickly accommodated. The wait was not horribly long like another experience we had at a nearby hospital ER (2-1/2 hours vs 10 hours). The x-Ray technician was gentle and efficient. I thought the doctor was knowledgeable and explained to my satisfaction.

I was really surprised at the speed of service I received from the staff. Without having to wait hours to be seen . I was in a lot of pain when I came in on Wednesday morning, The staff took really good care of me. And thanks to Dr. JOHNSON for diagnosing what was causing my pain!!! I would return in case of an emergency and recommend my family and friends to this location for treatment. Thanks Huntsville Hospital !!!!!

Mr. Jacobie was very nice. Everyone else was as well. We got finished before they became bombarded with patients. They were all busy doing their jobs with very pleasant attitudes. Thank you for all you do.

We were moved to an area called "fast trak" it was clear what was wrong and they knew right away so they moved us to a quick area the doctor came in gave him medications and we were done and able to leave within maybe 3 hrs or less. The medications were stingy and left my husband in pain so the speed was too much of a trade off... the people were nice and caring but the medications didn't suit the issue. He broke his finger and all they gave him was an anti-inflammatory.... great service just not up to par

The staff took very good care of me. They were professional and compassionate. If I ever need ER services again, I’ll go there.

Was greeted promptly and took to triage. They were very quick to start testing. Dr White was amazing, and she was in the room to assess me quickly! Audrey and Brooklynn are amazing nurses with patient care and go the extra mile for you needs!
Kerby made me feel like I know her personally and I was very comfortable during my MRI!

I was very satisfied with the test given and how quickly the flow from check-in to discharge. Once moved to a room my nurse checked on me several times asking if I needed anything. Hunter placed my IV painlessly, and Dr. Allen and a male NP were both very pleasant and thorough with my exam and explanation of their diagnosis.

I’ve been to Madison Hospital ER several times in the last 3 years, the experience is always the same. The staff is consistent, friendly, courteous, and knowledgeable. What I like best is they manage expectations and keep you informed. Of course any ER takes time, sometimes extended based on patient load and case types but for an ER the experience is positive.

I was in the ER for burn care on a Saturday night about 5:30pm. After signing in and initial vitals taken, I was called to triage after about 10 minutes. Two competent nurses interviewed me an examined my wound. After 10 more minutes or so they called me for registration, which was very efficient and easy. Then I waited for an exam room for about 45 minutes or so, which was reasonable given they were busy and my injury was not life threatening. Once in the room, Nurse Hunter took very good care of me, taking vitals etc. Dr. Coomer came in after about an hour. She was very efficient and reassuring, tended my wound and issued a prescription. I was released after another 30 minutes or so at 8:30. The total time there from arrival to departure was right around three hours. I think this is about as short a visit one can expect on a busy Saturday night with a non life-threatening injury. Overall I think the experience was very good. I recommend the Madison Hospital ER made on this experience.
