Drake's Huntsville

Hadn't been to Drakes before so decided to try it out around noon on a Saturday with my wife and two kids. Despite being pretty busy we were seated without a wait. Waitress was nice and took orders, drinks arrived pretty quickly. Ambiance was kind of a brighter sports bar but still family-friendly. Loud music and conversation but not obnoxiously so, lot of families present.

On to the food. Let's be honest - the place is a little on the expensive side. Cup of chili for $6, salads start at $14 and go north of $18, all the burgers are $14+ with one side etc. That being said, I don't knock of stars for higher prices, you can check the menu before you show up and go elsewhere, but I do want to point it out.

I ordered the Triple Double cheeseburger Sliders and was able to sub out the side for chili for $2, which I felt was a good deal. The burgers were well done but sliders are kinda to get anything else and they tasted good. To be fair, they didn't ask how I wanted them so that's just how they come. No complaints about the burgers besides the size. Chili seemed like it was made fresh and tasted really good. Scattering of beans, hamburger was diced very fine. Great flavor, not too hot or top greasy.

Wife got the chopped Chicken Salad but opted to swap out chicken for salmon. She thought there was a bit too much dressing (order it on the side). She fel the salmon was cooked a little more then she asked for but was still good -- a good entree sized serving of salmon. Everything else in salad was great.

Kids got mac-n-cheese and chicken strips. The chicken strips were grilled and they were probably the best kids chicken s trips I've tried. My daughter thought they were one of the better ones she'd tried as well. Mac-N-Cheese was good.

$65 prior to gratuity for all that, two waters, 1 soda and a 23oz beer. Kinda high but they offered a military discount that was very generous. Came out to just over $51 after discount which I appreciated a lot.

As long as you are OK paying for quality good, you won't be disappointed -- food here is great and service is good too.

Went to enjoy some lunch and to introduce one of my friends to the place. Food was great as always, service we great, and it was clean. Our Bartender was Ally she was great very knowledgeable of the menu and drinks and she checked on us quite frequently. Will definitely be coming back really soon.

All around phenomenal. Our waiter was super nice and friendly, the food was hot and tasty, and the drinks were delicious. Little pricy compared to the area but well worth it. Not too busy inside since it was a Sunday night, no reservation needed and we didn’t have to wait to be seated. We received our food really fast and the waiter greeted us right away. Definitely will come back, loved the variety in the menu and everything was delicious.

Food has been amazing every time. Whether burgers or sushi you are going to be eating good. Tatiana was our server today. She did an amazing job! Would give her 10 stars ⭐ if I could. Thank you 🙏🏻

First time here, had their queso burger and their Moscow mule, really good, great service from Alexa, cool place, nice atmosphere.

It's a rare combo: burgers and sushi. I'm not sure what the inspiration was to draw these two things together but I am glad that they did. One of my favorite things about Drake's is that they label each TV with the game that is playing (or is going to be playing) and that way you can sit with the other people that are interested in the outcome of that particular game. It's fun to group the few people that might care about a Caroline/Seattle game in Huntsville. The service has always been great: I have never sat at the bar so your mileage may vary on that front. Parking can be a bit constrained, and there can be a wait, too. The wait can be mitigated by the cornhole set that they leave outside. Seriously, all places should do this.

Went in for their St. Patrick day specials. Our server was very attentive and gave great recommendations. The blt tots were delicious! Drinks were served quickly and were very good. Lots of televisions with plenty of variety to watch. It was just a quick stop while out shopping, but it was a fun place I'd go back to!

Great lunch stop. Inviting atmosphere, great customer service. A great option for burgers and beers but a diverse enough menu for everyone, including a nice sushi selection. Thank you for having fried bologna, this "just getting back to the south" southern boy was happy about that add!

I'm a big fan of Drake's. Mostly when they do specials. I've been to this Drake's several times with good service and good food.

Even the last time I went, it was (obviously) short staffed but we had great service and the food was hot and fresh.

This time we got the BLT tots as the appatizer. It's hard not to get these everytime I come. They are so good and you get a lot of food. They don't skimp on the bacon with these.This time, for my entree, I got the buffalo chicken wrap. Everything was hot and the flavor was on point. Got a few beers. They always have a good draft list and the beer is always cold.

Give this place a try if you want a few beers and a good meal!

I really recommend anyone to give it a try! Our waitress, Angelica was super sweet! I highly recommend the Teriyaki Bowl! I removed the Sriracha and added Spicy mayo 👌🏻 I also tried the tempura shrimp roll...it wasn't bad, just not my thing. My husband also enjoyed his burger.

My wife and I had a great experience here for a lunch date following an appointment. We each had a drink and a sushi roll and the Buffalo chicken dip. Service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the restaurant was super chill and comfortable.

We drove a little ways for sushi and a bar atmosphere. This place hit the mark. Food is solid and drinks were great. What will be bringing us back is the service. Darius, our server was one of the best we've had in a long time.

It's amazing all the things that we get a chance to go do thank goodness we get into a chance to go eat some good food and drinks best place in town to go have a good bite.

To finish off the night I stopped at Drake's Huntsville. It was my second time eating here the first time was when I was at Huntsville Comic & Pop Culture Expo and I has to get it togo. The only reason I know about this place is because of Jamie Allyson Phelps she recommended it to me. I was able to relax and dine in this time. Ordered a quesadilla and it was just everything it was so good the bell peppers just needed to be cooked a bit more but otherwise it got downed with their house made salsa which was aromatic and tasted so fresh. Also got their wings which the sauces for all their wings is also made in house including the ranch which was so good. We got the Buffalo wings. Good size and very juicy. Even the celery sticks were fresh! And lastly we finished off with some cheeseburger slides with Drake sauce. Now these were burgers soft buns, meat was fresh ground beef, and that Drake sauce is to die for! Go to Drake's whenever you're in Huntsville, Alabama it's worth it!

The food and atmosphere here have always been good to great. The service however had dipped to poor and we had back to back bad experiences here and even spoke to a manager who seemed to be clueless and inattentive. We decided to give it another shot and the bartender for the back bar named Sean restored our faith in this establishment and set the bar for what great service is supposed to be. I can’t tell you to go here, but if you do, sit at the back bar and look for Sean.

BTW: Sean only has works Monday, Tuesday and Thursday.

I appreciate that drakes stays open later then majority of establishments at the moment ever since the covid time change first and foremost. The food was a combination of all my favorite items but between three different restaurants all packaged in to one. The tuna lovers roll was perfection for me. I enjoyed the steaks and the chicken appetizer. Our waitress was busy but kept a good attitude regardless of the circumstances and provided a professional and personal experience.

Ate there friday night 4/12. Busy when we got there so we sat at the bar and the food was phenomenal as always. Had a nicks club and a spicy Cali roll 🔥

We had a great experience today! Our waitresses name was Jana and she is the absolute best waitress we have ever had. She was kind, honest, and had everything to us in a timely manner. We even found out later that her and only one other person was taking care of the whole section. Which was amazing to us cause you would have never known. We will be back and especially on Sundays in Jana’s section.

We ate at the bar because there was a 45 minute wait for a table. I had a skinny margarita which I didn't car for but the sangria was really good. Sliders and sushi were great as well.

Omg this place was on point in every aspect. The service, atmosphere, music, tv's, food, drinks - all of it!! I had sushi while my coworker had burgers. We both got what we wanted & it came out SO FAST! I would definitely go back....multiple times! If tou don't know where to eat, EAT HERE!!!!!!!
