Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Cedar Rapids

My family was staying next door but had some of our team at this hotel for a baseball tournament at Tait Cummings Complex which is a short 6 minute drive. We were visiting some of our team at the hotel when my in-laws called and needed a last minute room. Buddy at the front desk was awesome and I was able to book them the last room in the hotel. Everything was very clean and updated. The room was very nice and clean. Pool was enjoyed by my son's teammates staying there and has a hot tub. There is a door that can be opened out to a fenced in balcony/patio type area with some chairs and small table so parents could be out of the splash zone. Parking lot was nice, felt safe. McDonalds is next door and a Caseys across the road. Also near other restaurants and not too far from Target and Walmart if needing something.Highlight though was how nice Buddy was. Only downside was weekend breakfast doesn't start until 7:30 which doesn't work well when kids have the early morning game and have to be at the field by 7am. But overall very nice and highly recommend.

We really enjoyed our stay. We were amazed by what we experienced with our stay. From the ease of checking in, the room was clean, and the beds were comfortable. We were less than 5 minutes from downtown. The free American breakfast was so awesome. It doesn't have the typical carbs and waffles; and the oatmeal bar is so refreshing. There are lots of choices that are well stocked. I got to use the gym at 4 am, since I am an early riser. Both the treadmills are well maintained, and the freeweights are in great condition. We didn't use the pool, saving that experience for next time.

Very clean and comfortable with some bonus amenities. Price was decent, and the breakfast selection was reasonable - hot and cold breakfast bar options. Staff was pleasant. Would stay here again.

We stayed here for one night. The rooms were very clean and they smelled nice too. The lady working at the front desk was nice and polite. The best part, though, was that they had bacon for breakfast! The whole breakfast area was very nice, lots of stuff to pick from. They probably don't have bacon every day, so please don't get upset if you stay and they don't have 🥓 🥓.

Hotel seems fairly new construction. Location was good, about halfway between the airport and downtown, so quite convenient.

Staff was nice, quick and efficient. Room was simple but good and serviceable.

Colleagues stayed at the full service Marriott downtown, but had a bad experience (apparently that hotel is changing to another brand soon), glad I picked this place!

Decent location near lots of restaurants. Rooms are clean and up to date.

Front desk staff was 10/10, going above and beyond to get us a room before check-in time. Shout out to Delilah, she was so accommodating and personable! ♡

Our two-queen room smelled so fresh when we walked in, and beds were so plush and cozy!

The pool and spa temps were perfect, my kids had a great time squeezing a swim into our stay.

Finally, breakfast was wonderful. They serve a wide array options, leaving my family happily full for our drive home.

I can't rave enough on this hotel, we will definitely stay again.

Nice hotel, lovely staff and the building was beautiful. Pillows are nice and soft too. I loved having the Pool and Jacuzzi available, though i didn't really like the fact they shut that down at 2300. Seemed a bit silky given it already required key access and there is no lifeguard on duty at any time. Also, the jacuzzi jets are so weak they may as well not work at all, so y'all may want to get that fixed of you're reading these lol.
Overall, I really love the joint, and it's the second time my family has stayed. I would recommend it if you're looking for a hotel in Cedar Rapids. :)

This was a clean well organized and run location.
We were a group of 8 ladies traveling from the far side of Wisconson to Cedar Rapids Iowa for a bowling tournament.
I enjoyed interacting with all the staff, from front desk to kitchen to custodial to housekeeping. Everyone was very pleasant and helpful.
I would like to make a special mention about the gentleman named Buddy. He was extremely nice. Very helpful. Polite beyond polite. It was a pleasure to play games in the lobby and have him be happy that we were there. He really made us feel welcome and ‘at home’. Please recognize him and the entire staff. They deserve it!

My family and I recently traveled to Cedar Rapids. I unfortunately booked at another very disappointing Hotel. Upon arrival at Fairfield Inn at 11at night after traveling all day we were greeted by Buddy. He listened to our horrible experience at the other hotel. And he made our night and the rest of our stay in Cedar Rapids a wonderful experience. He went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and at home.

We were there for a church function,when I originally attempted to check in online there was a problem. When i arrived at the hotel they hadn't cleaned the room so there was another wait. Got checked in the room was nice the TV didn't work. After several attempts to change out the remotes the maintenance personal had to be called. The manager was very accommodating even started she would have changed our room. That is good customer service. The breakfast they had variety that was ok, no soy milk, no meat selection. The scones were hard as well as the chocolate muffins. Marriott hotel does well at keeping thing quality and this was good, I will go back.

We were stopping through from Chicago headed to Omaha, NE. This was a nice well kept space with good service! The front desk guy was new but helpful and very kind. We didn’t eat breakfast but it was offered.

Hotel was very comfortable and clean, but the best part was Candace at the front desk. She was so helpful, welcoming and quick at getting me checked in to my room. I forgot my key in my room and she happily made me a new one. She made a good stay and great one!

Very relaxed atmosphere. I did not go to the pool so can not give an opinion on it but I can say the staff was awesome! Everyone I encountered were friendly and wanted to know if I was comfortable or needed anything. Room was clean, breakfast was delicious and area clean and inviting. I would stay here again!

Very happy with my stay at this Fairfield Inn & Suites. I make occasional trips to Cedar Rapids and usually stay at a hotel off Collins Road. This time I was forced to stay elsewhere because of availability. I'm glad this happened because I think I found a hidden gem. This hotel is very clean, well kept, and has super friendly staff. The rooms are large and have everything you might want for business or pleasure stays . The morning breakfast is s step above most hotel chains and I found it to have both tasty and healthy options. It was a lot more than the typical high carbohydrate breakfast found at most chains. The hotel is close enough to downtown and restaurants for quick trips and meals. I will be staying here again during my next trip to Cedar Rapids.

We spent 3 nights at this property and all I can say is amazing. The entire team was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast selection was great and lots to choose from. I would definitely come back for sure. Hats off

The hotel was clean and fairly easy to access. (They had just received a lot of snow when I arrived, so it took a second to find the entrance under the snow). Staff was nice. Some fast food restaurants were near by and some chain restaurants about 5 minutes away by car. Breakfast is included and was a good simple breakfast with eggs, meat, fruit, waffles, and bread. Also have tea, fruit juice and coffee.

Clean room, good breakfast. Had an issue with rowdy neighbors that was promptly handled by front desk. We left something in our room after check out and Daris was wonderful about helping us try to locate it. She went well above and beyond expectation. 5/5, will stay again.

My wife and I stayed here for our anniversary. We were pleased with our stay. The room was clean and contemporary. The room had more than we expected - pans, dishes, a dishwasher, pretty much anything you needed if you wanted to cook. The room was spacious with nice finishes and extra amenities. The breakfast was great. Definitely recommend this place.very affordable prices for stay long in cedar rapids IA.

One of my the better hotels I've stayed at! Whitney, the night time front desk girl, was amazing!!! We checked in at 1 AM and she was amazingly helpful. When we told her we were coming for a college visit, she asked if we needed directions to the campus the next day! My daughter and I both thought she went above and beyond to make us feel welcome.
