I just wanted to let people know that Stewart Baxter funeral home was fantastic with the help of my mothers memorial. That answered all my questions was there for moral support. Most everything was done through email, with Mason walked me through each step . He was exceptional. Where do I begin to tell my story of the service that Nicholas provided me from Stewart/Baxter and continues to provide me. He has gone above and beyond during the terrible sudden death of my father. I felt so alone as the oldest of one other surviving 1/2 sibling who has her entire family here. I do not. Nick provided that very kind quiet support. He was a God send. I don't know what I would have done without him during this time. We knew what we wanted and needed. He didn't try to over sell us. I randomly picked Stewart's because they were close to my our apartments. They surpassed my expectations. Nick allowed me to grieve and consoled me. The kindest and finale act was trying to secure the military grave side service for my father. It was hard finding my Father's military records because of the fire that had taken place at Fort Leonardwood's Army Base in the 50's records had been destroyed. After I wrote to the archives in DC and was told it could take 7 days of research, Nick called me 1day before the burial and assured me he had a document that would assure the Military burial took place. When I arrive at the graveside I started to feel a sense of dread and loneliness as my half sister's family gathered to support her. Then I saw Nick he stood beside me through the whole service and told me I was not alone, that he got me. Wow! Impressive. He even told me he had another burial across town but sent his colleague instead so he could be here for me. This I will never forget. I could go on and on but to sum things up. The day Nick and a Colleague removed my father's body from his apartment he told me then, "We got you!" And he meant it till the handfull of dirt was thrown on my Father's urn and even a week later I know if I needed him and Stewart/Baxter Funeral Services, they would still be there for me.

We have only positive things to say about Stewart Baxter! We needed their services in March of 2024 and primarily worked with Mason. He was absolutely wonderful. He was pro-active with helping us and we never felt as if we were asking too much or were a bother. Along with him, every staff member was helpful, compassionate, and very accommodating to our needs. Every ask we had, was responded to quickly and they were so caring. Their after-care team was very helpful and we had no idea they even offered that service.

The building is beautiful and we thought seating for 300 would be enough, but we ended up with some standing. Even with that, all attendees were able to see and hear the service with the TVs and they offered live streaming, which was a need for our family. With over 500 people at the visitation, they handled the traffic and made sure people were safe as they were parking.

The owners were both there at different times, making sure everything was going well. If there were any issues, they were transparent to us and we didn't have to worry about anything.

We are so thankful for the staff at Stewart Baxter and would highly recommend them to handle your family's needs at possibly the most difficult time in your life.

We chose Stewart Baxter to handle arrangements in the death of our beloved Veteran Grandson who died May 26th. They worked with the V.A. & State Medical Examiner, and handled family conflict to bring a satisfactory agreement. Nick was professional, wise & compassionate in handling our families. Our family partnered with Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial Services to care for, and celebrate our father, after he passed away on Christmas. Despite the holiday, Jacob Wittrock and his colleagues from SB were incredibly available, compassionate, and thoughtful in supporting our family and helping us with the decisions that needed to be made. Nick at Stewart Baxter provided a very caring and thoughtful experience. Nick was very professional, courteous, empathetic, knowledgeable and thorough. When a loved one passes, you're just not in a frame of mind that is operating at 100%, and this is where they step up to the plate. They take care of all the details, inform you of all your options, and no pressure for whatever you choose. They also provide a service that gets the ball rolling on helping you establish an estate, handle some of the loved ones affairs, and grief counsel surviving family members. Pricing was very fair and competitive, and the level of service at Stewart Baxter was much nicer and more detailed than the "big box" competitor that's farther up 1st Ave.

My father’s death was unexpected and we needed to expedite the service on rather short notice. Mason and the team at Stewart Baxter were fantastic. They handled my father with dignity and were very supportive of the family in our time of need.
I was able to fellowship and speak to many people at the service because Mason and Elizabeth were there to provide support and pass out programs, etc.
Additionally they have reached out several times with resources for grieving families and just to check in and see how the family is doing.
In this day and age, and under such stressful circumstances, that kind of personalized service is truly appreciated.

Nick is amazing at his job. He makes the process of saying goodbye to your loved one as easy and soft as he can. He made my experience saying goodbye to my wife Ashley Manery as stress free as he possible could. And i personally would recommend Stewart Baxter Funeral & Memorial to anyone that is in the position o was in having to say goodbye to my wife and dhe was only 39 yrs old.

They came quickly after being called, were warm like family, yet very professional with how they took care of everything. Every detail was taken care of with great care and thoughtfulness which made it easier knowing they would be taking care of our mother. The next day we met with Jacob and decided final arrangements for burial; something so overwhelming, but he made it very easy, and was not pushy trying to up-sell at all. And finally they follow up with an after care service that assists with legalities if necessary. We would HIGHLY recommend Stewart Baxter for taking care of your loved one that has passed!

In time of unfortunate circumstances Stewart Baxter funeral home is absolutely wonderful. Michell was phenomenal in her assistance with care of my father. Everything between burial plans and documents, Michell had everything covered. She offered her kind words and wisdom, and was so patient with her time as well as my time. Also an amazing shout out to Kathy with the after care program. She was also a sweet kind woman. She helped me get through some of the trying tasks of closing out my loved ones accounts and what to do next.

I loved the way Stewart and Baxter was very accommodating to my family. All the staff I came in contact was very helpful and nice. The staff handled our loved one with much respect. They made this time of tragedy a little easier to handle. A special thank you to Mason for going above and beyond.
