My husband and I had been trying to get our licenses changed to Alabama for a few months, but never could get inside because of how busy it always is. We scheduled an appointment a month ahead and had no issues this time! We were both in and out in about 20 minutes. The staff were very helpful and kind!

All I did was a simple in-and-out. If you go later in the day, there is virtually no line and the staff was very friendly. Was an easy and simple process to get my new driver's license.

Brilliant service. Everyone was super friendly. The process was amazingly efficient - i went in to get my state ID. Couldn't be happier - so far it's the best experience i've had as compared to the other states i've lived in

I just want to say Inspector Montgomery was the best. She was attending to people as they were coming in the door. I was there less 10 minutes. Great public service!

I came without an apt around 8:30, and left at 9:30! The staff is the friendliest of all the LEA’S I’ve been to. Super organized, and Covid friendly! Thanks guys!

This review is for the office at 7262 Governors W. The website says that they close at 4:30. The sign on the door says they close at 4:30. At 4:05 the doors are locked and nobody is inside. Either get your employees to adhere to the business hours or change your advertised business hours.

I take my wife down to the ALEA Drivers License Division office at 1115-A Church Street in Huntsville. The objective is to get her a STAR ID for identification purposes. I am also there to assist her since she has dementia. We approach the woman at the check-in desk and provide all the necessary information. I also state at that time that I am there to assist her with the process of getting her ID since she has dementia. She resisted the request to assist my wife in getting her ID and finally discussed the problem with a colleague and finally agreed to it but only if I did not sit down in one of the chairs alongside my wife which are, as she said, only for applicants. The place was not busy and there were half a dozen or more free chairs in the vicinity of my wife’s chair. I am 73 and have back problems and since there were plenty of free chairs I asked to sit next to my wife in one of them. I received a very angry stare from her and once again she made an exception….. Why do they have to be so rude and mean down at this state office in response to such simple requests?

My wife received a ticket. The trooper told her he would find our insurance in their system. 2 months later we receive a ticket via mail after he told her he found it. Luckily I had proof of insurance because we keep every old insurance card in our email. Such a shame that even though “he found it” we would still get a ticket.

I waited a whole month for my ID still have got it yet, I paid 45 to get it I shouldn't have to call or go back to the same location to make sure they did their job...
