Brahan Spring Park

Outstanding place for the kids,got water jets coming up out of a little water park, the lake is very relaxing and they are adding a new addition. Across is a great disc golf course and horse shoes pit. Shoes over there ,it's built it a hundred or so pines so you don't always see the baskets behind the trees but the cones are there!!! Lots of picnic tables and is a fairly large park ,across the main street on the south end is even more park and they run RC boats there plot. Oh Yeah and fishing also. Across this road is the natatoriam,great swimming then back across the street again,the Senior Center,and a recreation gym( basketball, etc.) And ten or twenty soccer fields. Plus baseball fields too. HAVE A GREAT DAY!!!!! Almost forgot there are sand volleyball courts and tennis plus a great playground for the kids,restrooms also!!!

Nice facility. Very clean and accommodating. We happened to get there on a day when Parks and rec were doing a paint in the park day for the kids. So all of the kids got to paint a picture. Parks and rec provided everything: the paint, the canvas. It was a great experience.

Great place to park and start your walk down the Greenway. Smooth and easy bike trail as well! Playground on other side of Drake.

One of my favorite parks to visit in Huntsville. Haven't caught any fish but it's a cool place to fish anyway.

Beautiful splah pad for kids and quite spacious too. See pics attached. Also has a playground with padded grounds aka fake grass as well as a Pavillion, restrooms, lots of parking. In addition there is a lake nearby and a volleyball area. Close to Parkway Place mall and YMCA as well as Boys Scouts of America.

Great location and scenery.

Definitely a lovely course! Several people told me it’s the “third oldest disc golf course”, but they’ve taken good care of it. Quality tee pads, great signage, and excellent course design. I like how the signs show possible shot placement. That’s a nice feature for beginners to intermediate players.

It’s mostly wooded but you still have opportunities to really air it out. The woods are interesting in that you’re mainly avoiding tree trunks. The grabby branches are up a lot higher than you’re typically throwing.

Though a couple shorter deciduous trees make a couple holes more interesting.

Wheelchair access okay. We parked on opposite side of stadium from where the 6000+ crowd were assembled. To be SO many folks it was easy in and very easy out. Presentation by Pastor Mark and the contemporary band was awesome. So awesome to remember what the reason for the season really is.

Awesome park! Great playground, splash pad, volleyball beach, tons of parking. Wonderfully kept. My daughter loves the splash pad. One of the best parks in Huntsville.

Really liked Brahan Spring Park. Nice and peaceful! We let the dogs play and run around. We have been there twice now. We will be back!

Was not hard to find a parking spot facing field n could watch from comfort of car. There were three lots we were able to use n when we found the field they were playing on was able to park n watch.

The Brahan Springs Disc Golf, built in 1972, is the second course made. The 18 3 par holes whind around through pine trees as tall as a 2 - 3 story building. which makes it technical and difficult for beginners, but once after a little practice anyone can have a lot of fun. There are also local leagues to join that play the course weather permitting on a weekly basis . And also tournaments of multiple levels of experience throughout a year for example, March 7th 2020 the disc company called MVP is having a winner challenge tournament. Which I have already signed up for and looking forward to I managed to walk six miles today playing three rounds of 18 holes just practicing as I am not a pro and there will be people there better than me but I still have fun weather I get a competitive Edge built up through the process of playing better players or not. Luckily one advantage of having such tall and clothes together pine trees is the pine needles cover the ground which allows it to dry quickly in times of rain where you could not go and play at another course and the people that play on the course make it one of the best well kept and maintained courses I've been on.

Came to visit my best friend and her kiddos from Illinois, and I'm so glad she brought us here! We had a blast & i was so impressed by the parks cleanliness. 10/10 would recommend

Great atmosphere for kids, there is a park, splash pad, and pavilions. I hope all of you civilians give it a try. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

It's a peaceful place to go and relax ot to take kids to play and have fun. You can do everything from baseball to volleyball outdoor fun here I come.
