Moody's - Huntsville Karaoke Bar

Me and my homegirl had the best time! The crowd was great. We sung our little hearts out. Everyone who worked there was so sweet. We are so looking forward to going back. If smoke bothers you then this place might be a little much for you. If you love people and you enjoy watching people express themselves in song, go to Moodys Monday. The drinks were great and the dj was awesome. We had an awesome time.

Love the remodeling! It’s always a great time and very good for socializing and meeting new friends. Wonderful security! If it weren’t for DJ Jim I wouldn’t want to come back. I am a newer karaoke host myself here in Huntsville and without DJ Jim I wouldn’t have been so inspired and welcomed at moodys. I love the place!!

I love this place. I come here all the time to wind down and listen to music. Would recommend newer sound system but the Karaoke DJ Jim is always on point and very respectful. He’s def the reason me and my friends keep coming back. It just wouldn’t be as fun without him 🤷‍♂.

Welcoming environment, celebrated New years eve here and they gave out champagne and we all counted down. Very friendly down to earth vibe especially for those in the industry.

I'm relocating here from TN and decided to check out a karaoke bar close to my new place. My cousin came with me from TN for a night to help me move. We wanted to get a little fun in before she heads back to TN. So we found Moodys on Google and it was less than 7 miles from here. Turned out to be a cool little spot. It was Friday, so busy, but not packed to a miserable point. There was a great mix of music genre's picked, and it reflected the diversity of the crowd. That tells me all types of folks are welcome, and that's how it should be! The staff was very friendly and helpful, as were the KJ, and the customers/singers that we talked with. Our drinks came quickly, but I do think prices were just a little bit high
unless you are a beer drinker.....those were priced well .
.. maybe not to much higher than other bars of this same type, but with limited ways to get around that.... like maybe by offering some nightly drink specials .... Not going to deduct stars for that comment though, but when you aren't a fan of beer, are in there for a couple of hours, it adds up quick just getting 3 or 4 drinks. I decIded upon hearing that to order 2 drinks and be done. Id of probably spent more and tipped more OVER ALL if I'd of had specials to choose from. I also tip every round I order, as many others do as well, so I think it would benefit the staff too if there were options. One bar I used to go to had $1 jello shots they premade with vodka. They said they racked up a pretty profit on those to.....
Helps us to feel like we are getting our moneys worth and we tend to order more.... but anyway...thats a tiny thing.... in the big picture it won't stop me from returning....
There were quite a few singers ahead of us, but the DJ happily added and got us up there in a fairly short amount of time. Everyone rooted whoever was performing on, including us, supporting n encouraging with applause and hooting. It surprised me but I love that type of positive, accepting vibe. Nothing worse than feeling like you aren't welcomed or that you were horrible when you're already in an unfamiliar place 😕
Not at Moodys though! We both had fun....
It was a great start to my first night in a new state! I can easily see this being my new regular haunt....

10/10 would recommend! Out of all the bars in Huntsville this is my favorite! Have never had a problem here! Staff is always super sweet and drinks are cheap considering the prices of drinks downtown! Love watching people sing karaoke and enjoy meeting new people here! It’s a smoking bar and I don’t smoke but I still love going here! I bring all my friends here and Moodys will be my #1 bar for life! Such great memories! Thank you for your service <3

Good prices, fun staff, and trivia and karaoke. A smoking establishment, though, if a smoky dive bar is not your thing. You have been warned! Don't show up and then 1 star it because you dislike smoking!

Great staff! Place is cool. Karaoke every day. They have a quote on the wall saying "Yes you can sing -Vodka" Fun! I'm not a smoker but they allow smoking indoors which gives the bar a "movie style BAR" feel. Clean place despite the smoking. Plenty of games to keep you entertained.

Was here for NYE and would absolutely return if im in the area. Friendly and fun place with a great mixed crowd, security wasn't overbearing either. And of course the karaoke was fantastic, a big draw for sure. Only thing I could say was the drinks were a little weak but it was NYE.

Finally found a great place to shoot some pool and play darts. Bartenders here are friendly and on their game. It was my first time singing karaoke in ages, had a blast. Five stars everyday!

I've visited this bar for years. It is the perfect dive bar. The service is admirable while also taking no prisoners when confronted with bad actors. The food is great! The vibe can be different almost every night with the diverse nature of the crowds that come in. But karaoke is always on. So come to sing or come to watch or come to play pool or come to hangout on the porch.

Bartender and management were the best. Ordered several drinks and food while we were there. Our ice water glasses were consistently kept full throughout the night. Very well rounded crowd that mingles, excellent dj that plays to the crowd. One of my favorite hole in the wall bars.

This is a great dive bar with quality karaoke, a wonderful staff, reasonable prices. They really care about the safety of their patrons. I'd definitely visit again.

I've had a good time every time I've been. They serve food all the way until close and it's awesome. Friendly and fun staff. Pretty good choice of music to sing to. The crowd is a lot more laid back than other bars I've been to.

Neat patio. Staff were friendly. Karaoke all the time. Restrooms are clean. Edited as it has become my hang. Food is really good. Staff are not only friendly but also cool people. It is not a fancy place, but has fancy features. Fire place on the patio. That is fancy.
