Wow! This place is amazing! Walked in and waited just a bit to sit down but the staff were very friendly.

The bathroom was clean and so was the entire restaurant! Cool vibe, private and great for a date night with my wife. Small menu but what’s on there is finely prepared.

We ordered the pretzel as an appetizer. HANDS DOWN THE BEST PRETZEL YOU WILL EVER HAVE.

She ordered the Cajun Cavatapi and I had the pork belly ramen. Both were delicious but we both liked hers more. There was an Impossible amount of food to finish and at a decent price.

Will definitely be returning!

This is a must stop place in downtown Marian. The food was so different, menu is always changing. I got the pot stickers for an appetizer, they were spicy and sweet. So good. Dinner was a steak sandwich with parmesan truffle fries. So good.

If I could give a 10 star instead of only a 5 star this place would have it. OMG, the food here is out of this world good. The coupon we had did the job. It got us in the door then we met Mat. Very personable!

We started with a Baked Cheese Bread. Cheese blend, pickled mushrooms, herbs, lemon zest baked bread. It was extremely good. Mouth watering goodness.

I had a house salad and the homemade raspberry dressing it was fabulous.

I had a steak sandwich sliced roast sirloin, provolone, arugula, bearnaise, sauteed mushrooms, sauteed onions on multi grain bread. The steak was very tender and juicy cooked to perfection. It was extremely good.

My husband had Le Shmashburger two ground beef patties, Velveeta, banana peppers, savory demi glaze, fancy tartar sauce on a brioche bun. My husband's eyes literally rolled to the back of his head with delight. My husband said this burger was a high quality burger it did not taste like it just fell off the delivery truck.

Our waiter Mat was amazing and such a great bartender.

Myself and a group of friends get together every Wednesday and eat at a different place weekly. This place may become a new regular stop for us because it was so amazing! Rachel, our server was wonderful- attentive and caught a food allergy mistake that had been made and promptly fixed it, the food and drinks were excellent, the atmosphere was welcoming- the barrel seats make conversations so much nicer! Sadly, I did not take pictures of it because I was simply having a good time and that’s what eating out should be.

Stopped here on a Sunday afternoon. Was looking for a different kinda place to relax and have a comforting meal.

Hip-stir did not disappoint. Eclectic dinning with a comforting atmosphere. The service was great and the menu has a great variety of food, all with a little twist. The only problem you'll have, is deciding what to eat. But you can always come back to try something else...and whatever you do order, make sure you start out with the baked cheese. OMG!

First time ever going and I was completely blown away on the design, layout, and overall atmosphere of this restaurant. The service was amazing and the food was on another level!! I had the New Year’s Eve Brunch Special Shakshuka which was, believe it or not, under $9. WOW!! I looked over the regular menu and those prices were all below what you’d expect. I will definitely be adding this place to my regular rotation of local restaurants.

We both ordered Cam's Jam 'n Turkey Sammy with blueberry ginger tomato jam, turkey, bacon and cream blue cheese. 😋 Amazing! Beautiful bar and restaurant 😍

Funky in the best possible sense. The atmosphere is warm and inviting, like a Hobbit burrow combined with your favorite tavern. Service was excellent - friendly and informative. Food was equally good - the beet salad was surprisingly large and filling, and the sweet potato soup had a nice kick I wasn’t expecting. We didn’t get a cocktail but the drink menu is full of intriguing and unorthodox combinations. A lot to like, and a lot to keep you on your toes. A solid combination 👍

What a gorgeous restaurant! My friend and I went there recently and we were blown away by it all. The prices are pretty high, so sadly it's not a place we'd come back to often, but the food and drinks are top notch and worth the occasional splurge. We were both very happy with everything we got. I highly recommend trying the Sakura beer, it was delightful and tasted like a light soda or a sparkling juice (it was happy hour, so I got a 2-for-1. The okonomiyaki was heavenly. My friend got the Sacred Cow burger and I got the shrimp and lobster cheese ramen. Then for dessert we shared a slice of the ganache chocolate cake. 100/10 on the delicious scale.

We had a great dinner here tonight. We got the wings for an appetizer, fish and ships, and a shrimp pasta. 5 stars all around. We will definitely be back!

Great atmosphere and happy hour, 2 for 1 on all beverages! We did not eat dinner but the menu looked great. Lots of vegan, vegetarian, and gluten free options. Our waitress was very friendly. We will come back 100%!

We stopped in to the hip-stir expecting a good meal and even better drinks. Boy were we shocked! To say this place exceeded our expectations would be an understatement. The food was unique and delicious, and the bartender custom-made my wife a dirty martini. Our waitress, Cairo, deserves a raise. Excellent customer service, fantastic food, and a cozy-yet-fun atmosphere, what more could you ask for?!

We’ve been ordering takeout since the hip-stir opened and loved it, but I finally got the chance to dine in the other day and WOW. I knew the food was good, but the food, the drinks, the atmosphere? Everything was excellent. As a local who loved Ramsey’s, I wasn’t sure what to expect inside but it truly feels like an entirely different space now.

Service was friendly, everything was delicious, and I’m so excited to have such a spectacular local spot in walking distance!

Easily one of the best places I’ve been. Great service, great atmosphere, great happy hour and really really good food. Highly recommend. Has the smash burger, pretzel and beef skewers…..all very good. Looking forward to going back when I’m in town.

The hip-stir is amazing! My wife and I went there for the first time this week, and really enjoyed it. Great atmosphere, service, food, and cocktails! The decor is really fun and eclectic - you can tell that they went to great lengths to make it look cool (look for the doors on the ceiling!). The cocktail menu was very different from other local places, and in a very good way - really fun drinks! They also had plenty of wine and draft beer options too. We were also happy to find that many items on the menu can be made into vegan and gluten-free versions too, which helps my wife, since she needs to avoid gluten (she thought the gluten-free hamburger bun was one of the best she has had!). The menu itself was varied, with many fun options. Service was excellent and attentive too. Overall, we'll definitely go back with friends or family, and we'd highly recommend it!

I'm so glad we stopped in and tried this place out a month or so ago (and tonight is our second visit). The food is just so outstanding, and I love the options that are unique to this area in many cases!

•Customer Service•

The service was terrific yet again! Caitlyn served us and checked in multiple times for drinks and food. We never wanted for water, drinks, or another opportunity to order another delectable food item. We also didn't know about the happy hour buy one get one; that was a pleasant surprise 🙂!

•Food•

Earlier this week (Monday) we tried the following.

•Pork belly bun - Im pretty sure I will get this every visit as long as they offer it! this was a joy for my taste buds 🙂.

•Deviled eggs - Amazing! I loved that it wasn't just a salty deviled egg, the sweet bbq sauce on top and blue cheese crumbles in the yoke really went together so well!

•Baked Cheese - Okay, the cheese was excellent, but the pickled mushrooms and garlic gloves were out of this world! (I had to fight the wife for one!) She won 😜.

•Udon soup - I loved it. A wonderful combination of flavors. The spice, the sweet pineapple, egg, and perfectly done noodles. (This is where I make all the sounds of enjoying food)

•Fish and chips - Finally! I have found my spot for fish and chips. The Atlantic cod is done exactly how I like it. The Batter was lite, and crispy, the fish was flaky, and the three different items that come with it on the side add such a wonderful flavor palette. Pickled Vegetables, Tartar sauce, and sweet coleslaw. This will be another item I get many times.

•Waffle Fries - Loved these as well! Came out fresh, and crunchy, and the seasoning is wonderful cajun/sweet/savory goodness.

We loved all of it! It was fresh, fantastic, and the presentation was on point; it was just incredible. The hip-stir is definitely a top 3 location for us in this area, and is now one of our all-time favorite locations here in the CR/Marion area and will be back many times in the future 🙂.

This is my family's favorite place to eat. The food is delicious, unique, and portioned appropriately. They often have special items available just one day that are often good. Staff has always been friendly.

This is my new favorite place in Marion. My husband loves their burgers and I'm a particular fan of the Udon but want to try out so much of the menu. The decor is interesting and eclectic. My kids especially love eating inside the wine barrel. They do have kids meals. They also have a nice selection of beer and wine.

If you don't think Hipstir is the best food ever, you need to stick with McDonalds and KFC. I had the Sacred cow and the smash burger (shared meal), and the combination of flavors is undescribable. A+ to the chef. Best experience ever!

I love that this restaurant from the outside is completely different than on the inside. It is very much like a speakeasy but with a complete food menu.
Their drinks are very good. We had the steam buns, potstickers, and ramen. Everything tasted absolutely amazing. We will 100% be coming back. Oh and I guess their menu changes often so that is exciting.
