A beautiful place with easy hikes. By far my favorite part of Huntsville is how quickly I can get to this trailhead and Belvin's Gap.

A few recommendations if you do this trailhead:

1. Immediately at the entrance is a trail that follows the creek down hill. Follow it and keep an eye to the left and about 7 minutes down you'll see the entrance to a cave. Pic included. 10 min to destination.

2. Follow the paved road to Mountail Mist trail and then follow MM until you get to a 4 way split. Keep left and take the second right (Stone Cuts trail). If you're not going uphill, you took Sinks Trail by mistake. Follow stone cuts and look for rock formations after you pass Logan Point Trail. You'll see a dead tree leaned up and blocking a narrow gap, squeeze through to get to the hidden gem of Monte Sano. 45 Min. To destination.

3. If you haven't been to the bluff, take the paved path to the top and enjoy the view. 45 Min. To top.

I sincerely dislike this hill. Had a good friend of mine that i used to go riding with and he always wanted to start by going up this hill. That said, if you like riding, this really is a great place to start. You get to the top and everything is "downhill from there." This trail also has some really picturesque views.

Draw back is they charge $5 to walk a trail, per person!

Long and mostly paved, great for exercise or just getting some fresh air, there’s always a couple folks, but never ‘busy’. It’s perfect!

One of our favorite easy hikes near Huntsville. It has plenty of offshoot more difficult trails if you so desire as well.
