Family space camp was everything we hoped it would be. It’s rare to leave a spot and have all three kids (ages 8, 10, 13) say how much they loved a place. The bunk beds aren’t the most comfortable but it’s camp. So if you can bring a thin blow up pad for a sleeping bag do it. 100% worth the money for the experience. The cafeteria food was good although they always ran out of the salad bar. I’m gluten free and they always had an option for me.

This is a once in a lifetime experience for your child. Book early because places fill up. The kids are housed in a "habitat" and get to do a low key version of astronaut training. My grandson will remember it forever and talked about it non stop. You drop the kids (ages 12-14) off Sunday afternoon and pick them up Friday or you can make it a family vacation and stay with them.

My daughter had an amazing time. One of the best experiences she’s ever had in summer camp setting everything went extremely smoothly. Highly recommend I really like the fact that you don’t have to pay for the whole thing all upfront that you can pay half of it and then they give you until I believe it’s six weeks before departure to finish paying it off, which is super helpful She’s really into aviation I really believe that experiences like this really do help mold and influence positivity, and to a child’s life and memories

It was my child's first time at space camp. With the covid precautions I was a little dubious, but they kept the kids engaged and safe. my child has expressed an immediate interest to return next year. Couldn't be more pleased.

Edit: just dropped off for year three. I am anticipating coming again next year. It's been a great experience each year.

I can't speak about what the Space Camp experience is like these days, but I can say that the long term impact in my life and my brother's life as 2 time Space Camp grads each has been valuable. Introducing kids to STEM careers is vital to the future of our country. My brother got a mechanical engineering degree and has been a pilot for over 20 years and I have been a civil engineer for 17 years and I know for sure that our Space Camp experience played a part in our choices.

A once-in-a-lifetime experience that surpassed all expectations. I travelled to Space Camp from Australia with a group of 120 other students, organised by One Giant Leap Australia. The staff were fantastic, but the experiences were even better! Everything was extremely well-organised, with our 'crew trainers' (camp counsellors) waking us up each morning and taking us to our day's activities. There was definitely a lot to do - think astronaut-style training, mock missions, learning about space history, and experiments - but the scuba-diving was my favourite. This was an exciting but challenging experience for me as I'd never done it before, but my crew trainer and the diving instructors were extremely supportive and helpful. There's heaps to learn, too. I guarantee you'll walk away with heaps of fun little 'space facts' and bits of trivia. If you're looking to take a trip yourself, I would definitely recommend pre-ordering the flight suit. This is the same style of jumpsuit the real astronauts wore, and it's great to have on camp (and not to mention a great souvenir). The habitats, or sleeping quarters, would have to be the only negative thing about the camp. They do look in desperate need of a little love, with the beds very thin and stiff, and the showers very old and dirty. However, the camp itself more than makes up for this. And I doubt you'll have any problems sleeping at night; each day is jam-packed full of activities. You're woken up at six in the morning, but you won't get back to the habitat until ten in the evening. Honestly, this is an amazing camp. It is an experience I will treasure for the rest of my life. For a child or teenager interested in space, a trip here would be one of the very best things you could do for them.

Great camp for kids! Recommend going early June, because it’s extremely humid there. Remember to back a lot of cash, because the vending machines won’t take your wristband.

My 17yo son just completed Advanced Space Academy. He absolutely loved it!!! He loved the food, his team, and the activities. He learned a lot and made a lot of new friends. His team learned to work together very well and they received the Commanders Cup Award. The teamwork skills they learn are amazing and the teamwork activities are a lot of fun. My son is more of a 1/1 kind of kid but on this environment where all the kids have the same interests he absolutely loved working in teams. He wants to be an aerospace engineer and this program really helped hone his interests. He can’t stop talking about his week spent here!!! The employees who work here are amazing!! They work with you to make the absolute best possible experience for your child. I would recommend this camp to everyone who is interested in space/soace travel/ engineering. It is well worth the cost. If you are thinking of sending your child join the parent group on Facebook. All the parents and camp staff answer questions and help each other.

Oct 2023 Glad to see Honeywell still supports the community and sponsors kids from around the world to attend the leadership camp. Honeywell is forging the way of the future!

Fantastic place in Huntsville to immerse yourself in all things space. Programs for kids and adults and families together. Dorms can range from prison style bunk rooms with 30 people crammed together to your own room. Food is pretty good for what it is. Staff makes or breaks the experience and 99 percent of the time are superb individuals. Gift shop is pricey but so are the ones at Disney World. Museum onsite is open to general public and has a good assortment of rockets and astronaut paraphernalia. This place is to make friends and memories that will last a lifetime. Look for the space camp parents page on Facebook. Great place.

The best space history and hands on museum in America. You can meet and talk to real retired NASA engineers and scientists who volunteer at the facility.
A great place to take your student or go to learn yourself.

Great experience! Benito was our crew trainer and he was really really good at teaching us AND letting us have fun ! ♡(( If you see this benito, hi ben. thank you for the good memories -Team: ACRUX 4/12/22-4/14/22 )) The food was really good, Yet the mattresses in the dorms we're extremely hard to sleep on (so I wouldn't recommend sleeping on it if you have back problems). But besides that it was worth it! I definitely absolutely recommend it for summer camp, field trips, or even just going there for fun. The experiences are amazing memory makers. ((RIDE THE GFORCE SPIN RIDE! NIC IS AN AMAZING CONTROL PERSON 💗))

Neat place, organized to get the most out of your stay. The food really good. I would suggest bringing an air mattress, because the matress supply will not supply comfort.

My family and I went here for an awesome adventure. Staff was wonderful and my kids who’ve been to Disney and Universal still say it’s the best trip they ever took! We had so much fun!

as a graduate of space camp, I can say that the experience was amazing, and me and my team can all agree that we learnt a lot. Most of the staff were super sweet and fun to hang around. this program has personally changed my perspective towards NASA and the cosmos. Over all, I would 100% recommend.
