I received a ticket for driving on expired tags. 1 yr ago, when I was SUPPOSE to be renewing my tags and taking care of life’s little duties, just like normal citizens do every day of the week. I was being kicked out of my home that I had been living in for the past 2 yrs by my PSYCHOLOGICALLY CHALLENGED “best friend of over 20yrs. As a 100% unemployable Navy Veteran my finances are limiting to say the least. I got my tags renewed the very first Monday after receiving the ticket on Sat. I did not pay my ticket early becuz it took me 3 mnths to save the extra money out of my strained budget. I went to court in my appt date. My name was called up to a table, before the judge had entered the room, and told my ticket had been dismissed!!!!!!! Thus saving me from paying the ADDITIONAL $200 for restitution AND court fees. Everyone was friendly and polite. Although I can NOT think of any reason I would want to visit the Madison Co. Court House again. My experience was surprising and very low stress!

This message goes out to any citizen who has dealt with the following two Judges: , J.Smith and C. Comer. If you have strong evidence, that they abused their authority as Judges and misused the law with your case. Please note...These Two Judges are under investigation with "The Judicial Inquiry Commission"for questionable practice and illegal activity while on or away from the bench. The Judicial Inquiry Commission, investigates complaints filed by individuals who were innocent, but were injured by the lack of procedure to uphold the law in a legal manner. If foul play has occurred. I strongly suggest you stand up for your rights. Research the state statutes, that pertain to your case. Together we can defend, "The Constitutional Rights". Together we can send a message loud and clear, that we together, as a society will be proactive in seeking Justice against the criminals who received a law degree before they received a rap sheet. Be a dignified member of society and show the Judicial system they will not get away with violation of our civil rights or our Constitutional Rights without facing repercussions.

Some Judges, Not all... have been allowed to bully, intimidate and humiliate citizens who stand before them. Judges or Attorneys are not above the Law. I realize recently certain political candidates have been allowed to lie under oath and failed to perform their duty to honor, serve and protect this country. Let's not allow the very same to happen in the lower levels of the law. Not all Judges are bad, not all attorneys are bad. I believe in the system of law. It is not the laws ,that are the issue or problem here, it is the ones hired to uphold the law, that in some cases have abused or simply failed to perform and honor the oath that was given to them, when they became representatives of The Court for society. We must be steadfast in actively removing the louses of the system. We require to have honesty, dignity and fairness in the system of Law. Please see case# DR 2013-38.01 to discover what goes on behind the scenes of real criminals, within the Judicial system of Alabama. Also if your Attorney injured you.... Complaints can be filed with The Alabama Bar Association. Let's bring justice back to life!

Needed to get a copy of the deed on my house and property purchased 42 years ago. The two ladies there were very friendly and helpful in finding the information I needed. Great help!

Visited this place 2-3 times for my vehicle registration and did not face any issues whatsoever. My only complaint would be regarding the lack of parking space.

It's ok as far as courthouses go. I hate the stairs. And I'm not exactly sure if there is an easy way for handicapped people to get up and down from the street to the door. I imagine there would be, however I didn't see one that I can remember.
