I love this farmers market! In the Spring and Summer seasons it is packed with vendors and you are able to purchase all kinds of fruits, vegetables, canned goods, breads, plants, honey, meats, eggs, and much more! In the off season they have an indoor store where they sell whatever is available at the time. The rest of the vendors are in a covered stall structure. Some vendors are cash only, so it's best to have some on hand, but many are also card or electronic payment. There is limited parking in the lot so be sure to get there early. Bring extra hands because you'll probably leave with more than you intended!

Tomato sandwich day is a holiday in my house hold. Great place to buy produce, wonderful prices and wonderful people selling their hard work.

Great farmers market with friendly vendors. Make sure to come early to get the best selection! Usually most vendors have left by 1pm.

Love this Farmers Market! Great vendors and Master Gardeners of North Alabama have a fantastic plant sale here every year, Spring and Fall which includes sale of gently used garden products. Plants are grown by the members. Great deals too.

Expensive. The Amish tomatoes are great, but $3.49 per lb. This years local Scott's peaches are AWESOME and worth the $16.99 a basket they cost!! Not only are they unbelievably sweet and full of flavor, but there's no waste. (bad spots) The only thing you have to throw away is the pit in the center and the peeling, if you peel them. Each and every peach tastes so good that you'll think they were kissed by God himself!!!

Always enjoy going and seeing what's available. We go several times through the summer. I was pleasantly pleased with the strawberries we purchased last time we went

First, the post by Barbara Bodnar is bunk. Barbara claims she visited the market last week. The problem is that the market was not open last week. The market opened today on June 7, 2016.

The market has suffered from the glut of markets opening all over the greater Huntsville area, but it is still the best place to find the best produce at the most reasonable prices. For example, okra sells for $3 to $4 per pound at Green Street, but at the Madison County Farmers Market this same crop goes for $2 per pound.

Additionally, this market is a covered market with ample parking available. The county has also completed a renovation of the market over the winter.

The best day to visit the market is on Saturday. If you come during the week there are fewer sellers, as they are out in the fields working. So, many of these other markets have resellers posing as farmers. It is important to remember that "locally grown" in the business community means within a 300 mile radius. Many of the tomatoes and watermelons you are enjoying right now at these other markets are being shipped in from Florida.

Just remember "Buyer Beware" and that goes for some of these posts on Goggle too.

Friendly farmers that offer inexpensive produce. I drive from across the street from the Madison City Farmers Market to this one because of the variety of produce and prices this farmers market offers. My favorite is the pepper guy. He sells a variety of pepper types (sweet and spicy) and jams at prices you will never find anywhere else in town. This is a no-frills (no soaps, very few prepared foods) market with a great variety of fruits and vegetables that are in season.

The Cornfest was great. The farmers donated corn to be boiled. Wow what great farmers we have! There were so many delicious vegetables available today. Oh and don't forget the great flowers....

Actually went to Ayers Farm Farmers Market to purchase peaches. Found what we were looking for. Free stone peaches. Ayers is part of Madison County Farmers market but while Madison County Farmers market is only open Wednesday through Saturday. Ayers is open 7 days a week.
