The food here is amazing, everyone is talking about it. The staff has a smile with every service and the place is certainly better than the old establishment that was there.

HANDS DOWN THE BEST AND BIGGEST TENDERLOINS ANYWHERE. Portion sizes will not disappoint the hungry. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

Absolutely amazing service. If I could give 6 stars I would. We ordered a big takeout order for work, and despite the hassle, employees made sure we had everything we needed, went above and beyond and provided us with free drinks, helped us carry the order out to the car, and even made sure that if anything was incorrect on the order that we call back. Such a welcoming environment and the employees are great conversationalists. I promise your hard work doesn’t go unnoticed. Thank you so much Jimmy Z’s!!!

Awesome tenderloin. Big and very crispy, so big I couldn't finish it and that doesn't happen often. My daughter had the rise and shine burger and thought it was great. Nice place to have a meal and a drink. They have a brown sugar bourbon that goes great as a mule. Definitely going to go back next time we are in town.

We visited on Saturday for the first time ever and brought family from Nebraska specifically to try out the tenderloins. Met the owner as we walked in the door and was treated INCREDIBLY. Food was excellent. Service was superb and even watched some live entertainment inside and outside the place. We will be back. Thanks for th experience and the mac n cheese bites. Wish we could have given 6 stars!

They have awesome customer service! The food is top notch as well! I order a tenderloin to go, nothing like I expected! They had to serve the tenderloin in a pizza box!! Yes a pizza box! If your looking for a great customer service and Steller food Jimmy Z's is the way to go!

The service was great. The food is amazing. Small menu but a nice variety. It is a bar and you can actually visit even with music playing. Will definitely go back. The steak wrap is awesome.

Great bar to watch some Iowa football!! Very nice and accommodating bartender and cook! We had appetizers with some house made ranch and a few drinks while waiting to be picked up after the game.

Only ordered 2 tenderloin "baskets" to go as we were passing thru but you can bet your A$$ i will be back again!!! Biggest and best I've ever had and i live in the Des Moines area so I've had my share! Also bar chic was fast, friendly, and hot!!! 5⭐'s all day long!!!

The best burgers around. Fun friendly atmosphere. First time in and not a local, but the owner and staff treated me and my crew like we were old friends. Best bar / pub / after hours experience I've had in a long time.

The first time my boyfriend and I went to this bar and I have nothing but great things to say. The tenderloin is amazing the staff is beyond friendly. The only thing I was looking forward to that they took off the menu was fried pickles.

Everyone was so friendly. Thank you for our lovely Thanksgiving lunch. You had a wonderful menu. So much of so many delicious foods. Thank you again... We were home with nothing for the holiday... You saved the holiday and made it day. We will be back!

The staff are amazing! The food is SO good!! The drinks are always cold! I'm glad we have such a wonderful establishment downtown. Definitely my place to go!

Enjoy the food yes enjoy the drinks & the company yes. But check out what's hanging on the walls. You could say James been around the block a time or two and he's collected some nice eye candy for you to enjoy, if your into that rock-&-roll sort a thing. I know I am. 5 stars for sure.

Great food. Come hungry. Best porkloin and hamburger sandwiches in Iowa. Atmosphere and music made it a fun place to hang out at. We will be back when visiting the area again.

This was my first time and this place has the best service I've had in a restaurant in a few years. The food was delicious as well definitely will be going back!!
