Visited there yesterday, July 20th. Unfortunately, I couldn't take the entire hike because I had on flip flops😆
However, I was able to take a short hike up to see the 3 caves!!!!!
Awesome!!

Very pretty and well maintained. Wish there was a closer way to view the caves and bathrooms would have been nice. But very peaceful.

It's a good place to hike. The entrance to the caves is closed. You can see them at the top. Good amount of parking spot. Free to access.

Beautiful place nestled right in the middle of Huntsville. Great place to see music. Sit down crowd but you can dance in the back. Plenty of bathrooms. The walk is easy down a gravel road.

The trail was beautiful. It's not for the faint of heart. Waterline was especially difficult with tons of slippery rocks, steep elevation, nervous climbs, and some gnarly drop offs. I snagged a cave pic but the rest of the run required a lot of focus to maintain my footing! Toll Gate trail is pretty rocky, so watch for ankle twisters.

The entrance is closed but you can still seen from the gates and fell the cold air the come out.

Attended a concert at 3 caves, it was awesome and they raised awareness the volunteers were great. Police and security presence made it feel safe at the event.

Excellent view at the start and middle.
The waterfall is great but obviously slippery if you venture up.
Great hike, uphill for the first half but we managed fine with a dog and pre teen.

Wonderful multi-purpose area with different physically challenging trails, according to fitness and stamina. To be away from modern suburbia hiking midst the sights and sounds of raw nature is so calming and conducive to a sense of achievement. A popular location for day adventure and meeting folks along the way. As if that wasn't enough, night musical events are also popular and acoustically enhanced by the "three caves" amphitheater. This is indeed a unique place and most likely to draw one back for repeat visits !

Beautiful getaway! Once you hike around the rim of the caves, which only takes about 5 minutes, you can barely even tell you're in the city. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a quick hike or retreat as it's in a central location. The trails are well marked and easily accessed, and there are maps in the parking lot. Great hidden spot!

About another mile down the road past the Madison County Nature trail is a gravel parking lot to Land Trust trails. The main trail is rolling hills but very easy until the end when you get to the waterfalls. It is steep there. I've visited in January and February and the creeks were flowing. The creek sounds along the trails are nice. I've also hiked the Eastern and Western Plateau Loops. They are a nice walk through the woods but much of these border along homes and the eastern trail had 2 place to cross a creek. I didn't get my shoes wet but in a couple of places had to watch out for mud.

I've spent a lot of time on the trails and there great. Some formations are unreal and also look very cool. One looks like someone made a circle in the rock with there finger. I still have a photo of it..

This is an intriguing and beautiful spot, preserved by the Land Trust of North Alabama. The trails in this area are not too challenging, and the landscape is forgiving. Watch out for snakes in this area.

The caves are not accessible to the public, but there are often music events and similar where they are opened up to ticket-holders. In the meantime, you can stand at the gates to the caves and enjoy the cool-breeze that wafts up from underground. A refreshing way to end a long, hot hike!
