Our waitress was an absolute delight. Very friendly, the service was fantastic. A great small town restaurant with a hometown feel.
The hand breaded fried mushrooms are deliciously perfect and came with the house ranch for dipping. I will say they are the best fried mushrooms I have ever gotten from a restaurant. Pictured is a full order, I could not finish them all so brought some home for later. I decided on the 8oz hand pattied hamburger which came on a buttered and grilled bun. All of which was cooked to perfection. This place is a southern Illinois gem. I am a definite fan and look forward to trying their other menu items. I wish I would have had room for dessert because the pastries I saw looked amazing. They also had a large selection of pies listed.

I drove here from New Carlisle, IN, to, among other things, try Brunzeez fried mushrooms. I was intrigued by their mushrooms because they resemble the best fried mushrooms I have ever had at a Carbondale restaurant no longer in business. I am pleased to say they did not disappoint!!! These are a little bigger, a little more moist and not quite as seasoned as the others but they hit the spot! If the others were a 10, these are a solid 9.2. I will be back!!!

It was my first time here, and it was pretty crowded for a place in a small town. I had a Harvest Salad and it was a lovely summer salad. Everything looked good as it passed by our table. Whatever you do, be sure to order the fried mushrooms. I'll be back!

Fantastic country style mom and pop restaurant. The staff is friendly and the food is delicious I definitely recommend there desserts especially the apple cobbler would highly recommend.

Food was amazing! Service was wonderful! Will definitely be going back!!! The loaded baked potato was so delicious!!! Fried pickles are a must!!!! Nice, homey feel. Really enjoyed our visit!

Nice down home cooking and atmosphere. My husband ordered meat loaf. Was very good. We are very picky when it comes to ordering it. I ordered 1/2 order of mushrooms which were excellent. Love that 1/2 orders AND senior menus are offered . Waitress was very kind and attentive.

The food is always great, and the service is even better! If you're looking for a home cooked meal in a cozy small town diner atmosphere, this is your place. They have the usual fried chicken, burgers, etc. but they also have some other stuff like southwest egg rolls, chicken on the beach, and the most amazing brussel sprouts! Also, Kathy makes THE BEST chicken and dumplings you will ever have.

Brunzeez always has awsome service and great food. The food is like home cooked meals and the desserts are all homemade and the best! If you haven't been there you should try it. You will definitely go back!

All the sides are great. Super portions, fair prices and to end it with any of their homemade desserts leaves the meal perfect.

Nice country atmosphere just love going. A little red neck but you will enjoy the food. Onion rings and fried mushrooms are great. Cheeseburger and fries are great great fish. Love it very nice people.

The breakfast is fantastic!! The biscuits and gravy is made from scratch, and delicious!! The pancakes were great too! The desserts look wonderful so we took some pie home for later. Great friendly service!

Service is always on point. People are always friendly. food is excellent, deserts are the best around.
Locally owned and she works her but off to make sure everyone is happy and leaves happy and full.

It's a 5-star country town diner. Friendly folks. Homemade-style food. Tasty pie. Reasonable prices. Loved the pork tenderloin sandwich and lemon meringue pie.

Always smiling faces and good food. I had the chicken dinner. It was delicious. I was kind of jealous of my sons pork chops. He wouldn't even share them. He said they were too good

Fantastic "mom and pop" place to eat!
Prices are very reasonable, there is a really good menu selection with a variety of specials that change daily and the staff treat you like family.
It's a 'must try' if you're ever driving through the megatropolis <(sarcasm) of Ava Illinois!
