Outstanding!!!! I cannot express how amazing this place is. I took my 15 & 17 y/o sons here for their first time ever shooting a gun. They had been bugging me to take them for a few months. I was afraid that this would cost me hundreds of dollars, but I left only paying around $50 and having my boys shoot for an hour, 140 rounds of ammo, and shotting a pistol and rifle. You would think that is the best thing about this trip. However, you would be wrong. The Range Spotter was the best thing about this!!! He assisted us a lot!!! One of my sons nearly had a nervous breakdown when he was about to shoot the rifle. He wasn't able to shoot it. Which was fine and I understood his concerns. For a young man to shoot a rifle for the first time can be detrimental (judge my son if you must but I will not). Instead of the Range Spotter just walking away and leaving us alone he went and grabbed an easier rifle for my son to shoot and gave him a box of ammo free to shoot with. He also demonstrated how quiet this gun was and fired it showing how weak the kick was. My son fired the gun and used all the ammo with a big smile on his face. But both boys loved shooting the pistol the most. I hate to say this, but I cannot remember the Range Spotters name, but he is in the photos. The customer service and the prices are unmatched. I highly recommend using this place and my sons and I are going to start going there monthly. Thank you so much for the outstanding experience you provided my sons. Great variety of guns and ammo; very knowledgeable associates as well. It's also nice to have an indoor shooting range here in Huntsville.

A great place to go by and have something ordered because you're living apartments and it can't be delivered there. And they will help you in every way this is one of the nicest shops in town. I've also got a buddy there if you want to look him up his name is Q he will help you in every way he can. Tell him Rick sent you.

I've always bought from Larry's. Their prices are hard to beat & if they don't have what you want they will order it for you. Larry is a great man and Quinton is his best sales guy. There's also a range here for practice.

We had a very good experience. The front staff and the range staff were excellent and any issue we had was addressed with no drama.

You really can't go wrong. They have a good variety and they are very patient and will help you make the right choice. Passionate folks that don't want you to buy just to buy but purchase and invest into something you are actually looking for even if you don't know it exist yet.

My father who lives down here was a frequent shopper here and loved going here for the range. My father is currently on hospice with not much time left and his one request was to bring his service pistol back from nc so he could come and shoot. I know this was going to be all hands on for him to do this and from the call to check if he could come and if there was a booth he could shoot at being in a wheel chair to finally getting him there and on range was a pleasure. He got in 5 shots all on the target and with me helping him to steady him range control was excellent and understanding. All I can say is thank you for all your help in getting my father what maybe his last time in the range with his two sons.

So I've never purchased firearms from a business until today. A lot of people I look up to and respect recommended Larry's Pistol and Pawn Shop in Huntsville. My wife and I arrived there about an hour after they opened and they were already crazy busy. As we started looking around at handguns, a friendly gentleman behind the counter by the name of Jim politely asked us if we needed any help, what we were looking for, etc. We tried and held several handguns as Jim was very thorough with information. He wanted to make sure we were comfortable with what we were looking at and trying so we knew what we were purchasing. Ladies and gentlemen, this top notch service doesn't exist much anywhere anymore. This type of customer service is why we will now be forever customers there. I deeply appreciate it and will be recommending Larry's Pistol and Pawn Shop in Huntsville to anyone I know looking to purchase anything to do with firearms. Jim spent more than two hours with us and answered any questions we had. It was very busy there and he never made us feel rushed or unappreciated. Just before we finished up, Larry himself spoke to us with a friendly, warm and welcoming smile and told us, "Thank you for your business and we appreciate you." That was the icing on the cake, folks. Go there. You won't regret it.

Very busy place. Parking isn't great. Employees are great. Was helped with what I was looking for. Very good selection. Plenty of supplies, including ammo, etc.

Went with another lady today to look at compact pistols. We were helped by a great salesman, Larry, (not the owner) who was so patient and kind with two inexperienced ladies and made our experience fun and educational. We got to test fire different guns and we're fitted with the best pistol for us at this time. Great gun store, friendly and helpful staff, and Larry was the best. We will be back to use their firing range.

Great selection (many 100s) of new and used guns on display, tons of ammo at low prices, amazing sales that beat almost anything available on line, lots of accessories, and a good section of guns you can try in their range.

I've never met a sales person there who rubbed me the wrong way. It's probably the best gun shop in North Alabama so, yes, it sometimes gets busy. With people 2-3 deep at the counter, you may have to wait, but it's not because the staff are standing around doing nothing. They usually have 6-8 people serving customers, so it's not like they aren't trying to accommodate customer demand. If you can go during the week, avoiding lunchtime, you're less likely to hit a crowd.

This is an honest review. I go there once every 2-4 weeks to shoot and/or shop. I've never met Larry, don't know the name of a single person who works there, and don't hand out glowing reviews lightly, but there's no gun store I'd rather shop at and no group of people I'd rather be around (that includes staff and customers).

Super friendly staff and a great selection. Most of the prices seemed pretty reasonable, but some of them were great deals. We met Larry behind the counter, and he seemed like a great guy. Will definitely be back.

While my wife was talking jewelry, I talked to someone about pistol swaps , ammo, and a couple of other things. I felt very comfortable that he knew his stuff and will be back in the near future.

Had a good experience today. Wish I had caught my salesman’s name but he did a good job of steering me towards a cool firearm.

Went to go use the range with own weapons and ammo, they had trouble charging me and my friends' cards on their machine. They told us we could just go in free that day and called it good ol southern hospitality. Great service in the shop and helpful and knowledgeable range safety officer.

I've been a customer of Larry's for the last 25 years. I usually deal with Jonathan, but have used other salesmen when he wasnt there. Always good prices and selection. About 6 months ago, I took my wife on there to trade in her revolver, and get her something more comfortable for her to shoot. Jonathan took the time to ask questions about what she wanted and why she wanted to give up the revolver. He ended up talking her out of buying a new gun, and gave her some things to do with her revolver, (homework if you will), to make her more comfortable with what she had.

The fact that he took the time talk to us and ended up not making a sale, really solidified what a good and honest salesman he is.

About a month ago, I went in to possibly trade in a gun and buy a new one. I ended up going to the range and shooting one of their guns in the model I wanted. I liked it so much, I ended up buying one. After the deal was all said and done, I ended up getting my ammo and range time for free.

Range is awesome. Just busy. Prepare to wait if you go on the weekend. Overall a good experience every time I go there.
