My experience with this office was less than substandard at best. My dog got treated better with a high level of integrity professionalism and care at the veterinarian clinic then received at this clinic.I went there as a new patient from out of state enthusiastic about having a black female physician hoping for cultural competence. All I needed was for her to follow up on writing my prescriptions for a treatment plan I had been on for the past 7 years. She refused to write prescription for several of medications requiring me to see 3 different specialist to rediagnos me before she would prescribe medications I been on for past 7 years and this was not any pain or addictive medications.It appeared as though she was butter everyone specialist bread rather then trying to help me.I spent 500 of my hard earned dollars at her office paid my bill asked for labs done and told them I would not returning I did not see the point in me going to the 3 different specialist to get help getting medications that I have been on for past 7 years. This lady treated like I was a common criminal wanting something illegal from her and as a said none of my request was narcotic related. I am a honest professional with a successful career in healthcare iam not stupid I am very disappointed in Dr Stephanie Burrel she should be ashamed of herself and move to some other area of medicine if she is burned out and choose not to be helpful but more cynical with her encounters with her patients. It appears that she does not have good staff around her to at least help her with her poor communication skills. They just make it a point to knock on the door when the paint 10 minutes is up to free the doctor up like the are rescuing her from her patient. Sorry about the long entry but this is my truth and my encounter and let done from our black female physician.

I selected Dr Stephanie Burrell as my primary care physician bc through my insurance I needed to pick one. I called in on a Tuesday to schedule a yearly check up in which I was told I needed to fill out a new client form before anything could happen. They took my contact information and repeated my email back to me. I never received the form, yes I checked my junk folder. I called back the following day and left a voicemail. It’s now Friday and I received no call back and no email. I selected a new primary care physician. My advice is don’t even try unless you love wasting your time. This place has terrible communications.

A lack of organization is the biggest problem plaguing this clinic. Lack of human empathy is the other. Lost prescriptions, inaccurate billing between labs done on the same visit, referrals placed months late, charges for annual wellness visit (should be $0 copay). Dr Burrell fails to make notes in the file, so later forgets situations and medical conditions already discussed. Appears confused on follow-ups. Doctor and some staff don't take patients seriously.

Orders a full lab on every visit and for each follow up visit, and at times fails to disclose what the labs are for (ordering the wrong labs is also a risk, as is not getting approval through the insurance before ordering imaging.)

Burrell doesn't like making physical contact with her patients, so she will stand on the other side of the room to perform assessments unless hands-on is necessary. At that point, it seems like you are a burden to her. She sways back at sudden movements, very much uncomfortable with the odds of physical contact. I've never felt so embarrassed about my body as I have talking to this doctor. I felt utterly ashamed and disgusting.

After speaking with other previous patients, this is a serious, and consistent, issue, tracing back to her time at the ER. Last year, my roommate had a severe infection and staff determined that she was not in pain, had never stated she was in pain (I witnessed her assessing her pain, so this was inaccurate). They stated they could not excuse her from work with 104 degree fever, vomiting, and severe dehydration. After spending the following day in the ER, running exams, it was determined to be a life-threatening infection that her office refused to work with.

I wanted to like Burrell. She had great reviews with BCBS. But Burrell didn't seem to care as much about me as she did ordering the labwork and 3rd party exams, and that wasn't something me or my insurance was prepared to handle.

The staff is very RUDE. They do not inform you or call back when waiting for results. They have horrible attitudes when answering and talking to patients. This is not a professional environment. Also if you have a prescription for medication they won’t refill unless you schedule another physical. This place only cares about money and not the well-being of patients.

Staffs are very RUDE and not caring sick patient, but caring only money. It is hard to meet the doctor. We even had to make another appointment if we have other health concern during consulting time with the doctor.

Don’t go. Simple as that. 👎🏽 Inconsistent all the way around. Please do yourself a favor and look away from this place. 0 rating

Cant even call them, the receptionist or whoever works there Just picks up and hangs up the phone without speaking

Money grab... Horrible
