Alter Ego Comics

This isn't my regular shop but I always like to stop when traveling through Iowa. Always find something to pick up, and the staff are always super friendly!

My son fell in love with this store, he said it has everything a comic book store should have and then some!

Been coming here for years, great selection and staff is so helpful. They are very encouraging for new comic book fans as they have been great as my son has begun to show interest.

I love my local comic book shop. They are never anything but kind, helpful, wonderful folks who have given me spectacular recommendations when I had no clue and were super helpful finding the things I needed when I did have a clue.

Came in yesterday and bought Spawn comics. Welcoming, diverse, and plenty to choose from.

My go to nerd kingdom. Erin is awesome and the store is stocked for nerds of all ages!

Very nice place and owner is great to work with. We brought some comics in and they were right on the cusp of being old enough to be worth something but not quite yet and since i drove from the west side of cr to marion she bought them anyways and gave me more than they were worth and she wasnt going to buy them at first because she had alot of copys of those as well. So thank you to the caring and nice lady that owns the store and if your into comics or the movies or have kids go check this place out and show her some love Cr, Hiawatha, Marion and surrounding towns.

It is a cute little place. It isn't huge, but it has a nice collection. The store looks very tidy and it has a wide range of comic books, Funko pops, posters, figurines, and collectables! It is definitely very LGBTQ+ friendly.

Love this store! We just visited for the first time and already have a list of things we want to purchase next time! The selection was impressive and the service was excellent! Very clean and safe environment!

Alter ego has a wide selection of comics and graphic novels that are all amazing. It's a secret gem that everyone needs to visit at least once. I went in there to buy for a hard to shop family member and they found a excellent book and had several more recommendations. I went in to buy one thing and left with many. I feel like a made a good freind with the employee Mia. As she was warm and engaging and clearly very passionate about the books and her job. Which makes her a incredible salesperson. If I could give more stars to alter ego, then I would. I give to very enthusiastic thumbs up.😀

Ive been shopping here since the 90s. Love this little gem of a comic store. Excellent selection friendly staff and the friendliest pug named paxton you will ever meet.

A Wide, Wide Range of an Assortment of an Multitude of Different Comics on Various Different Levels to choose from, As well as; Has A Wide Variety of an Assortment of Funko Pops, to Choose from as well!
Owner was absolutely great, very helpful, & was very knowledgeable in the Comics Department, likewise. :)
