CarMax is wonderful. I ordered a car that was shipped from Massachusetts. It took about 5 days for it to arrive. I took it for a 24-hour test drive. And realized after 3 or 4 hours and 100 miles that it was the car for me. Then all my expectations. The people at CarMax were very friendly. You knew up front exactly what everything was going to cost. And when I bought the vehicle it only took about 15 minutes to do all the paperwork.

I like the fact that the car comes with a 90 day 4,000 mile warranty. Most dealerships won't do that for you.

I've seen and heard a lot of horror stories about Carmax in general. I even told myself I would never buy from them. Yet, I did. I've been in the market for a new car as my Camry was a ticking time bomb of transmission issues. I had looked on their site the night prior and notice a few manual vehicles, was in Huntsville the next day for the doctor's anyways and stopped by on the way home. I ended up finding a Mazda3, one of the cars I had been wanting due to its safety and reliability. Not only that, it was a stick! I went home after test driving the Mazda3, picked up some insurance for it and snagged my family so we could test fit the car seat and make sure it was a good fit too. I had Jimmy as a sales associate, absolutely loved her. She's knowledgeable, she's kind, she's also a manual enthusiast as well. I didn't feel pressured to buy my car, but I am so happy to have gone home with a vehicle I felt comfortable in. I cannot be more happy and more grateful for her.

After the first time I bought a car from CarMax, I knew I'd never go anywhere else. I just bought my 2nd. With a 125 point inspection, you know you aren't getting a lemon - and if you aren't satisfied, you have 30 days to return it for a full refund. No haggle pricing is my cup of tea. Amare did a great job from beginning to end. I love my Impreza!

After our 2016 Sonata getting totaled we were in the market for a new car. After hours of research and car shopping we decided on CarMax. We favorited a few and started a conversation with a sales person. From start to finish everyone we spoke to was friendly and incredibly helpful. We picked out our new car and did most of the paperwork online then booked an appointment to pick up our car. Day of was quick and efficient. Sign a few papers and within an hour we were on the road with our 2021 outback.

Great experience selling a car.
I got a quote online for a fair price that was good for 7 days. 3 days later we made an appointment to get an in-person appraisal and official offer. The dealership was busy, but they were very organized and we left with a check in about an hour for the original quoted price. Other dealerships tried to offer 3-5k less than the original quote once we got to the dealer, but Carmax honored the offer with no hassle.
I would highly recommend checking them out if you are looking to sell.

They are so friendly and do everything in their power to make sure your car is running the way it needs to. They also give a 90 day warranty which is amazing. Will be buying another car here before long.

Carmax gave me a fair price for my vehicle. They gave me $4000 more than the Ford dealership offered trade-in value, $1000 more than Carvana offered. After inspecting the vehicle they honored their on-line offer.

Excellent experience, great warranty, great customer service. The sales managers and service managers/and associates went above and beyond to fix the issues with my Jeep. I love CarMax because for one they have a large selection of all kinds of vehicles to choose from. I had just started a new job 2 months before my car that I had decided to say ok it's OVER. I had someone to pick me up and we went to several car lots. Finally we stopped at CarMax and was able to find what I was needing the car had low mileage. It was almost new but I had a low car note. When I had car issues they were addressed with little to nothing out of pocket. Just want to say thank you CarMax I have paid my car off and I'm ready for the next one.

I have had my vehicle for only a month, but so far, so good. They have stepped in and helped with any minor issue, such as oil change light coming on before I pulled off the lot. Possibly just forgot to reset it at the change, but went ahead and did a full change out just incase.

This was my first experience with Carmax and it was a wonderful one! I believe his name was amari but he did a fantastic job at helping us find the vehicle I’ve always wanted. He helped answer all of our questions and walked us through the trade in process. It’s definitely not like other car dealerships where you feel like you’re being circled by sharks the whole time you are looking at vehicles. He gave us our space, he would check in and see if we had any questions and then he would let us continue to look without him hovering in the bushes. A wonderful experience and an even more wonderful employee!

We had some issues with the delivery of the vehicle but Mark Jessup was great in making sure it was taken care of in a timely manner. He kept us updated. He went above and beyond to rectify the situation.

I received an online offer, took it to my local CarMax for final evaluation and the online offer was accepted. I left with a check. Very easy and straightforward. I was impressed with how easy the process was.

I submitted information online to Edmunds for an apprisal on my 2018 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and
received what I believed to be a Fair Appraisal. Also, I received a document that a firm offer was good for 7 days ending on 3/20/2024. I traveled to Carmax on University Drive in Huntsville on 3/19/24. My vehicle was evaluated and the offer was approved and I had a check for payment within approximately 1 Hour. The process couldn't have gone better.
