Morris Neal's Handy Hamburgers

5 star burger joint. Original grill apparently from when it first opened in the 1930s. Worth the stop if you're anywhere near by.

Haven’t been in years, but always went as a kid and a teen, very good burgers and I love the old fashioned feel of the place, lots of memories here.

Extremely good burgers. I went during Lunch hour so probably best to order ahead. It took 37 minutes to get my order but we'll worth the wait.

Small inside dinning as well as outside. Good food. Good service

I grew up eating here,but it's been atleast 30 yrs since I had eaten here. And let me tell you,their hamburgers are still the very best. Fresh homemade 🍔. So I recommend giving them a try. And the young ladies are the sweetest.

This place is delicious. The staff was super friendly and made for a wonderful experience. The food was amazing, the burgers are juicy. All the sauce tastes homemade, ranch, BBQ, and ketchup. I had awesome fresh lemonade not to sweet or tart it was just right.

A bit crowded and took a while to get our order, but they're pretty busy there...like every really good burger joint. Nice flavor, not the typical Sysco-burger.

A jewel of authentic Texas burger culture. A wonderful hole in the wall right off of downtown is a must for any day exploring Cleburne! If you come during peak hours, it may take a minute for your order. But sit back and take in the atmosphere and talk to someone. It is worth it!

This place left a big impression on me.
The service was amazing the girl attending me was happy cheerful to help me figure out what to order and it was my first time. the cooks and servers are perfection. They made my grilled sandwich like if it was in the ratatouille movie and I had one of those movie moments with my food where I savor every little thing with my eyes closed and eveything. That girl at the grill knows her freaking stuff! Tbh the man in charge came for a few moments and I would've gonne up to him to tell him his staff is amazing if I wasn't too busy eating eveybite. I've never eaten tomatoes in my hamburger.. they made tomatoes taste good. Lisen I don't ever exaggerate but this time .. 🫶😌

Great burger! Tater tots could've been cooked a little longer but were still good. Staff was very nice.

Just had one of the best burgers ever. Morris Neal Handy Hamburgers in Cleburne Texas. Thx John Bass for letting me in on this tastey place to eat. I got the Double Jumbo Cheeseburger and added Bacon to it. Cooked to perfection. Then had a slice of one of the most moist carrot cakes I have ever eatin. I WILL DEFINITELY be back. Super good! I came in with high expectations and they succeeded it! Onion rings and fried pickles were perfect! The Hamburger is good, huge, and filling!

I’ve been going to Morris Neal’s for 50 years and the food and service never disappoint. I love the atmosphere, reminds me of when Morris Neal was alive. Great hamburgers!!

Went at 11:30 on a Wednesday and it was the place to be the ladies at the counter were super sweet and we only paid 23.00 for two burgers fried pickles and onion rings the atmosphere is super awesome and the food is amazing will return

If you like old-fashioned home cooked hamburgers this is The place to go. The hamburgers are big and reasonable prices. They are made to order at your liking. So you know it is hot and fresh.the location is kind of hidden in downtown so it might be a little hard to find at first. Prices for hamburgers range from $4-$10. Even the junior burgers are reasonable size. The only down fall is, its little inside and sitting space is limited. They do have a picnic table outside as well.

This is the best hamburger I’ve ever eaten. You can tell the meat is fresh and not frozen. I love the look of this little burger joint. It reminds me of the walk-up burger bar that used to be in downtown Fort Worth. There is seating inside and they have outdoor seating as well. Go get you a burger here you will not regret it, in fact, you will become a regular customer.

Ive lived in Cleburne for over 30 years and just starting eating at Morris Neal's.
What was i thinking waiting for so long! Ive heard of this place since i was in my teens and didnt try it until i was in my 60s. I sure missed out all those years. These are THE best hamburgers in Cleburne. I'd never eat one anywhere else now!

This is by far one of if not the best burger joint I’ve been to, and there are a lot. However the dinning area is small, could use considerable enlarging. I’ll keep going because the burgers are so good, but I sincerely hope they invest in a new dinning area, with the amount of business they do, it would seem worth while.

Really great burgers. Opened in 1933. They weren't cheap and neither was their food. Value for the money was fair. Great food. Great service. The ladies that work there and prepare the food are a hoot and a lot of fun to talk to. They have a great group of employees that show they really care about what they do and how they do it.
