There food ministry is impressive. The historic church is beautiful and steeped in history. Glad we stopped by and visiting on prep day where there were no less than 5 chefs. Many blessings to all.

I believe my GREAT-great-great-great-great Grandfather was a Judge in this county and attended this church in the 1830's. His name was Nathan Alexander Stedman III. (edited) Over the years an "A" was added to SteAdman, my mother Debra Lynn Steadman was daughter of William C. Steadman, and he was son of Rev. William C. "papa" Steadman Sr., son of James Floyd "Mr. Jim" Steadman, son of George Washington Stedman, who was Martin L. Stedman's son, and who was the son of Nathan, who was probably there when the ground was consecrated by Bishop Ives in 1833. I am only going by the looks and age of this church as my family was given land in North Carolina for their service in the Revolutionary War.

The charm of this historic church first attracted me to St. Bartholomew's. The beautiful grounds and picturesque cemetery look like what everyone would consider the perfect church. However, it was the inside of this quaint church that made me choose it to be my place of worship. The people of St. Bartholomew's are a unique, diverse and welcoming congregation. There is a genuine Christian spirit in the small but active group. Everyone is invited to attend....you might just stay, like I did.

St Bartholomew's is all about sharing and caring for our community. This church has made such a positive influence on my life. I encourage anyone looking for a church family to please come visit! You will be overwhelmed
with the warm, friendly response you will receive. We are all about embracing everyone...regardless!!

I am always comforted by an atmosphere of welcome and acceptance at St. Bartholomew's. In seeking a place of worship that is grounded in its mission to seek God, serve God, and share God with all, St. Bart's is here for me. We are nicknamed "The Little Church That Could" because we are engaged in and support many community activities that allow me to express joy and love for all., as Christ did. Peace to all!

Beginning in 1981, my membership was transferred to St. Bart's. The congregation has become my extended family. Although there are just a few parishioners with whom our association has endured all these years, there are at least a hundred more who have come and gone. St. Bart's is my second home. I love the old church, it's current parishioners, and the spiritual presence of God. "Surely the presence of the Lord is in this place!"

Hands down, the most loving, caring, and sharing group of people in all of Pittsboro.
St. Bart's really does care about EVERYONE. I felt "at home" the very first time I went.

From the first service my husband and I attended, we knew this church was very welcoming and had what we had been looking for in a church community. Since that time, we have become more involved. All are welcome here.

The Community Luncheon is an institution in Pittsboro. This is an excellent example of building and sustaining community. "Community is a verb" and this proves it! The Luncheon is not just about the food as regulars and visitors can attest.....
