Angelina's kitchen is more than just another restaurant...it is akin to the family table for this community. Not only is her food delicious, it is also thoughtfully procured from local farms and prepared with so much love. The dolmas are always a party hit, and her salads are as fresh as one just clipped from the garden. Not corners cut on flavor or ingredients. Always a great lunch date.

Just stopped for a quick COVID safe lunch. Angelina came out and gave us her options for our vegetarian preference. We had a Greek Salad, enough for two people to share and she surprised us with a taste of delicious spinach (and other greens) pie! Love this place and can’t wait to try other options!!!

I loved Angelina’s kitchen. I go everywhere for my work and when I’m in Pittsboro again, Angelina’s is on my list! The Angelina’s Greek Salad tasted great. It was one of the best salads I’ve ever eaten, no joke. Everything in the salad was fresh. The employees were all warm and friendly, They go above and beyond to help customers. They explained to me all the ingredients are from local Chatham County farmers, and explained to me about their lemon olive oil dressing. I didn’t even ask, they took it upon themselves to explain. I liked that the explanations weren’t long and boring, they made them quick and they actually were able to capture my undivided attention/ interest me. When they handed me my salad it was done with a smile and they said they hope I enjoy.
Excellent, in every way. Looking forward to my next visit.

My husband and I have been buying yummy meals to stock our freezer from Angelina's during the pandemic. It is delicious, reasonably priced, farm to table, and easy to reheat. Her food has made staying home much more pleasant. I will continue to "stock up" every several weeks. Thank you, Angelina for being so AMAZING!

My family had a great experience recently at Angelina's! The food was delicious and the portion size was plenty. I was not too full but definitely didn't leave hungry, it was "just right". The staff was very friendly (and so was the local farmer having lunch there too as he answered lots of questions we asked)!

I highly recommend it if you're looking for a comforting, home-style meal for lunch.

Fresh ingredients. Lentil soup -fantastic. Beef rice bowl - most tender grass fed beef with rice and choice of vegetables. Wonderful conversations with Angelina. Baklava that is perfect. Would recommend to everyone. Thank you, Angelina for a great lunchtime experience.

I always go to Angelina’s Kitchen when I’m in Pittsboro. She and John serve delicious, flavorful food that is as fresh as it gets. Sometimes the farmers who grew it are there too! She always has good vegan and vegetarian selections. The local art and crafts add beauty and may inspire you to take something home. Games for the kids, a warm welcome, and food made with love. Highly recommended!

Angelina & John's food are things that dreams of made out of. I should know, I dream about it! I moved away from Pittsboro and have never found anywhere that comes close to their ingredient quality and flavor. Luckily I make it back to the area a couple times a year, so I always stop by to eat lunch AND get a bunch of tasty take out.

If you're lucky enough to live in the area, make sure to try the delicious locally grown food at Angelina's Kitchen. It’s worth it!

I live in Pittsboro and eat Angelina's food often. There are a lot of restaurants in the area that advertise local food sourcing, but this is the only one where everything you eat besides spices and olive oil comes from local farms. The atmosphere has a small-town feel, with conversation among guests being common. The food is excellent, and I'm regularly amazed at how Angelina can make everything taste very flavorful with minimal spices added. The dishes seem so simple in theory, but there's a magic touch that makes everything much better than I could recreate. Highly recommended.

This is a great restaurant that truly believes in the "Local" concept. They make every effort to provide fresh local produce. It means their dishes change with the seasons. The employees are warm and friendly. They make every effort to help me select the best dish for me considering dietary concerns and preferences. Give Angelina's a try.

I’m from another part of NC and was in town doing a catering event, I’m a culinary student and I was excited to eat something delicious for lunch. I wish I had looked at the specials but I opted for the Greek salad with falafel instead. Everything had so much flavor and it was so fresh! I adore that it is all local and there was a good portion size too. It was pretty busy in there and there was a reservation with a large group so I left early, but I wish I had stayed longer! Thank you!

Angelina's is not only the hottest lunch spot in Chatham County, it's a farm to fork counter service eatery with delicious food high quality food from nearly all hyper-local ingredients. Not sure about the menu options? Ask for a taste. Be sure to try the specials on the board. Come by Saturday afternoon for a New Mexican brunch. Yes, in North Carolina. Trust me.

Slow food is a movement promoting sustainable farming practices, locally produced food, and REAL ingredients. Sounds and tastes great but is often time consuming and expensive... but not at Angelina's! They use the best quality ingredients & mix flavors from greece & new mexico. Where else can you get a flafel with your green chili beef stew?

I personally love their frozen yogurt - no weird preservatives or colors, just natural, tasty ingredients. YUM!

Angelina's is my go-to lunch stop in Pittsboro. Prices are reasonable, service is outstanding, and it feels good to know that you're supporting local farms. By far the best thing about Angelina's is the food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu.

Angelina's Kitchen is a wonderful place with a warm and friendly atmosphere. My first visit was with a group of nine women and we were all delighted with the variety of choices and the delicious food prepared with ingredients from local farmers. The tiropitas and spanakopitas tasted just like the ones my Greek mother-in-law makes. The avgolemono soup was heavenly...the texture was perfect with a creamy but not too thick broth. Absolutely the best I've had in this area. Angelina uses local free-range eggs and says that makes the difference. I returned the following week to Angelina's to bring my mother-in-law and it turns out that she and Angelina's family are from the same town in Greece. What a wonderful experience we had! My mother-in-law insists that Angelina's spanakopita is better than hers! We highly recommend Angelina's kitchen and we plan to dine at Angelina's as often as we can. Thank you Angelina for sharing your talent for good food and hospitality.

If you want to taste the best food Chatham County has to offer, fresh from local farms, head to Angelina's Kitchen. Angelina and John go out of their way to purchase locally and to offer quality dishes at a reasonable price. I love it for the fresh, healthy, seasonal menu. My son loves the kids meals, complete with a handmade toy. My husband is especially fond of the huge falafel sandwiches. When I'm feeling over-lettuced and need a dose of comfort food I know I can head to Angelina's for one of the ever-changing specials (hello, frito pie!) The best part about Angelina's Kitchen, besides the warm, friendly atmosphere, is that I know I can take any guest and they will find something tasty. There are options to please vegans, omnivores, kids, carnivores, vegetarians, locavores, the gluten-free, and even, dare I say it, the big mac crowd. We love Angelina's!

Angelina's Kitchen is a locally owned, owner-operated restaurant, full of wonderful quirkiness, deliciousness, and exceptional foods prepared with love.

I know of no other business that procures as much local meat and produce as Angelina and John do. Others dabble, or brag about local procurement. Angelina's shows the way.

100% of the meats are local -- I've met her farmers eating there. And she features as much seasonally available produce as possible: In November when there are no local tomatoes, your salad comes with an apology and an explanation.

Angelina and John will not compromise and use the junk from Sysco's refrigerated trucks. And sometimes that means the customer could be disappointed. But those paying attention to flavor, nutrition, and story will never be disappointed.

Try the Avgolemono soup, and if you're there at an off-peak time (say 2pm), ask Angelina about it. She will unfold with praise for her local egg sources, how the hens' feed effects the process of making the soup, and how to make a good bone broth (the base for her soup).

Angelina shares her recipes freely, because she really believes we should all be cooking at home and eating better. (A cynic might say it's also because her foods are so labor-and-love-intensive that most will prefer to patronize her kitchen, rather than try them on their own. But in truth they're not so hard. I've made bone broth her way, and I'm a klutz!)

Anyone struggling with food allergies or illness will find healing foods within. Celiac and gluten-free accommodations are made with real care, attention, and expertise.

Try it and decide for yourself. And let them know it's your first time!

We are one of the local farm suppliers for Angelina (Haw River Mushrooms). Delicious, nourishing, true farm to table food, and gathering spot of many of pittsboros artists, farmers and innovators. Such a special place.
