Hard Country Café

This place is the epitome of why you should never judge a book by its cover. Although this place looks like a beat up truck stop, the food here is absolutely amazing. Service is great and the prices are cheap.

First time ordering from this Cafe. Hubby is a picky-eater, but he really liked the country fried steak dinner. He judged it on 1. not being a frozen patty and 2. the crust didn't fall off when he cut into it. I had the SW Taco Salad. Kudos! We'll order again. If you are in the Vinton area, take the LA-109 exit and head North.

This is the best diner/cafe I've been to in years!!! Would 100% recommend. We even drove and hour out of our way to eat here again the next day. The food was astounding! The service was amazing! The prices were great! Best place we've eaten in a month on the road so far.

Wonderful truck stop with plenty of parking spaces. The food at the restaurant is good and everyone is friendly. There's also a mechanic on site.

Loved the pork chop breakfast. Didn't take long to cook and very cheap. Need more of these places at truck stops instead of processed foods that loves and pilot sells that's not good. Plenty of parking for trucks and Def at the lanes as well. Will be back next time in the area

The service was very good. Had the BLT and boudin balls. Yummy and price is good. Definitely a place I'd stop regularly while visiting the area.

Stopped in on our way to Houma from Texas. Hole in the wall place, great service. Food was nice and hot and very good. Highly recommend the country fried steak.

I ordered the Breakfast Tacos and they taste like the ones I do at home. Full of everything and very inexpensive….I will definitely come back when I’m in town!!!

This was a wonderful spot we stumbled upon. Loved the history our sweet server shared about the Cafe and guitars🎸 all over the walls! Fun experience. Will be back.

Came here for the first time and service and food was amazing!! Planning on coming back for breakfast tomorrow.

I've been here several times and ordered something different every time. Every single thing I have ordered was incredibly delicious. It's always fresh and tastes homemade. My favorite restaurant in Vinton. Best burgers in SWLA! The service is always great as well.

This place is delicious. The steak finger basket was less than $8 with fries and toast. The fried pickles were amazing too. The waitress (Regina) was really nice and attentive. We will be coming back when we visit again.

My uncle stopped here and called me and said it's mandatory to stop here and try the onion rings.... I did and let me tell you they're to die for...

The biscuits are to die for...so fluffy and large. The pancakes are amazing. Home-cooked food at a reasonable price. We will definitely eat here anytime we're traveling back to Texas.

Great food and awesome service. Emily and Sarah has great personalities and treated us with a great memory of our visit to the café. Never knew till today, the cafe’ was my dad’s favorite place to go after time at the casino. Now I know why.

Service was amazing by Dana. The chips was freshly made to order. Food was fantastic. Great atmosphere to be in. Will definitely come back to eat. The price was also 👍 great. Even grab more fresh chips to go🥰

Stopped in after 6 hours on the road. We got 2 chicken sandwiches and a loaded baked potato. All of it was delicious! Kudos to the chef!
