Hungry Howie's Pizza & Subs

Honestly I used to make fun of this place when I was younger because my mom lived near nothing else in an underdeveloped Polk City and I love New York pizza. BUT! The food is always good, even the salads. The delivery guys are prompt and they’re also nice in the store.

There's pizza and then there's pizza with a smile! We LOVE eating at Hungry Howie's in Polk City, Florida. The variety of food is amazing, and always served fresh and delicious. Hyla greets us often and she always has a smile and is delightful! Their "pizza bowl" is delicious!! It's a pizza without the crust, but all the good stuff a pizza has on top! WOW! The chicken wings are awesome, as are the subs and of course the various flavors of pizza! Their salads are made fresh daily too! You won't go wrong eating there! Thank you to the crew at Hungry Howie's Pizza and Subs in Polk City.

We enjoyed the wings tonight and they were delicious. We also have their p8zza on a different visit and enjoyed it also. Will definitely be back . Also, I would recommend this to others.

Excellent customer service the night we went. First off the order was ordered online with the call center when we got there to pick it up it was not in the system. So the young man helped and reordered it, thank goodness because for the same order it was around five dollars cheaper than what the call service quoted. And helped since we had already paid through the service. I understand everyone needs to work but come on !!! someone far away can hardly speak English.

One of the best and nicest Hungry Howies I have ever visited. The staff is so friendly and helpful and the entire restaurant is clean and neat. Never disappointed with pepperoni and pineapple with Cajun crust, delish!

this is my favorite place to eat a good pizza and some good wings it is a very nice family place all the guys and the manager are very kind I recommend them 5 stars I give them 10

Always fast and I love a three cheese pineapple pizza with butter cheese crust and in my opinion they offer the best fresh tasting and cheesy pizza!

Listen Hungry Howie's in Polk City on the corner of Commonwealth and I don't even know what the wait is 557 or 5:59 or I don't know what the hell it is it's just that I know how I go there they are in the nicest people you will ever meet ever they are concerned about their community and they are practicing what they preach yeah I'm I'm telling you I've eaten there many times I have I have brought pizza home I have had what they call a submarine but it's really a calzone and they're very good it's it's not a sub but that was my disappointment it was good and huge they don't skimp on anything and they don't skimp on smiles and welcomes and that's the most important thing yeah I've been there many times I will go back they're just great people and the food is good so give it a go there's a lot of things on that menu that I have not had and I may never have some of them but I'm I am experimenting blossoming you might say Brandon well never mind but they run a tight shop a good shop and a Christian in my opinion they have heart and everybody that works there that I have met has the same heart as the people that own the place and you couldn't ask for better so just check it out that's all check it out yourself

I was very impressed with the cleanliness of this establishment! The pizza was outstanding too. I look forward to trying more of the menu items!

We did pickup for our pizza. They forgot to send us a message to let us know it was ready. After a few minutes,sent my husband in and it was done. Still fairly hot. They did the pizza to our liking. Half veggie and half pepperoni and the crust, half sesame and half garlic. They have the best pizza.

TASTY pizza. Got the butter crust with cheese YUM. Also got a pizza bowl it was perfectly cooked with fresh veggies. The cheese bread is yummy and carmelized. All in all I give it a 10 out of 10. The employees were very friendly and helpful. Great experience. I will definitely return

I placed an order, and somehow it was unfortunately given to another customer, but the young gal handled it very well. She had my pizza re-made quickly, and also gave us a second pizza for our troubles.

This is not the first time I've been impressed with whoever works the drive-thru window, she is a definite asset to the company and we will continue to HH as our pizza provider

Staff is TOP NOTCH. We ate in and loved our pizzas. Dining room wasn't too busy but they had steady take outs. Definitely a repeat place next visit to the area.

Great Staff and the Fried Chicken it's the best in South Florida!!! Also the Cheese Sticks are Awsome!!!

Hands down, this is my favorite Hungry Howie's out of the five or six locations I have been to in the Auburndale/Winter Haven/Lakeland area. The staff are always very polite and attentive when taking my order over the phone or at the drive through. The drive through line moves efficiently, with wait times usually being no more than 5-10 minutes. The pizzas, cheesy breads, and subs are always hot, always fresh, and always made exactly to order.

Always 5 stars! Always impressed with the people working there and with the quality of the food. Very clean and well lit. 5-star management. They are lucky to have Branden!

Love this place!! I know what your thinking? It's just Pizza but they are always friendly here, the place is always very clean, and the pizza is made fresh and delicious!! Everyone should go, you won't be disappointed!!

I just left this store again and have had a great experience every time I walk in. I’m impressed with the service from Brandon and Kathryn today. Brandon the manager has awesome customer service skills and is doing a great job with this store. He goes out his way to help his customers and his team here. He takes pride in what he does and really cares. The food is also always great and there is no long waits. I highly recommend this store. I have been to Hungry Howies all over and this by far is best one I have ever seen. If your the ceo or a higher up in this organization reading this and looking for a leader to promote. Stop in and talk with Brandon. I will definitely be back.
