Joellas's Hot Chicken - Largo

It completely blows my mind that this place isn't busier! I've been here several times and every time it's super good. Quality chicken and authentic Nashville hot style sauce. I was just in Nashville recently and did a comparison with 3 other Nashville hot chicken places. Joella's came in 2nd! The staff here, especially the lady manager, are always pleasant. If you haven't already, definitely come check this place out!!

The grilled chicken was flavorful and moist. The Mac & Cheese was fantastic! My family had fried chicken, and they said it tasted great as well! Also, each meal comes with a side of dipping sauce of your choice which is great!!

In my opinion, this restaurant is equal, if not better, than the Raising Canes franchise. It is a must try restaurant for sure!!

The dine in experience was great! Absolute pleasure being there. We ordered 3 meals: 2x three tender meals, one hot and blue cheese dipping sauce with the kale crunch salad and the other “Joellas’s favorite” for the seasoning and sauce with Garlic Parmesan fries, and the two thighs meal with collard greens and BBQ dipping sauce. The hot tenders were delicious! Just enough heat that hits ya in the back of the throat and very well seasoned. I ordered the kale crunch salad without Parmesan cheese, the dressing was nice and light with a good flavor to it. The kale was cut too small, almost shredded, which made it hard to eat, but I ate it all. The blue cheese dipping sauce was really good! Had a nice pungent taste you’d expect with blue cheese and it was nice and creamy. I didn’t get to try the “Joellas’s favorite” seasoning on the tenders but it must have been good because my brother ate it all so fast, lol. The sauce was really good, like a sweet and mellow honey mustard. The fries were very tasty! The Parmesan was fresh and very apparent with just enough garlic and herbs to compliment. On the one thigh the breading seemed like it fell off a little, but the seasoning was good, nonetheless. My dad can be picky sometimes but he ate every bite! The collard greens were really tasty, there’s a spice in there that’s really good, just can’t put our finger on it. The BBQ sauce seemed like it needed something but it wasn’t bad. Kadeem was the man who seasoned it all and he was very pleasant and kind to be around. He check in with us and made sure our experience was good. The woman in there was so bubbly and fun, absolutely a great person to talk to. We didn’t get to speak with the cashier that much but he was kind as well. Overall a great experience. We will be back soon! We’ll bring more people with us if we can. Thank you for the service.

Chicken was hot, fries were unbelievable. I had heard about this place but since it was a little far from my house never stopped by. I definitely will be making another trip in the near future. the Ella's sauce was to die for and the ranch tasted homemade. Sweet tea was on point. The server was very nice and helped me since it was my first time.

Excellent establishment! Chicken was really good, love all the special sauce options, Mac and cheese has won 5 awards in Kentucky, and the craft soda bar is fantastic! But the best part about this place are the fries. Good gracious! Shoestring with parm and garlic. They were amazing! Kids eat free on Tuesday (2 per adult!) and a great lunch special

My family and I enjoyed our dinner here the other night thanks to excellent customer service. We were greeted by a helpful young man whose name I think is Ezekeal (based on the receipt). He was polite, friendly, knowledgeable about the menu, and checked on us at the table twice while we were eating.

When he wasn't helping us or someone else, he was mopping the floors and cleaning. When do you ever experience that level in customer service in fast food? I was so impressed with him, I saved the receipt for this review.

The food was pretty good, but my pimento chicken sandwiches had too much cheese on them (a schmear would be plenty), but it was easy to scrape off and enjoyable nonetheless.

Got the kids tiny tendy and it was huge! Definitely plenty for me. The fried pickles were a winner. And the spiked honey sauce. Great tea and lemonade. It’s definitely a southern style tender lots of delicious fried crispies. If you’re expecting chick fil a or PDQ it’s not like that.

It’s a bummer that nothing on this specific corner has ever made it! Hope something different for this place, but was very quiet when I went. No more than 1 other table at the same time as me.

First time trying and The food was great. I just had the lunch special with the mashed potatoes n gravy. Was satisfied with it 💯 The employees were cool and the service they provided wasn't over the top like some places but enough to be considered thoughtful. I'll be returning.

Excellent service and responsiveness. I ask for my chicken grilled, and the outcome is always juicy and tender. Better than any place nearby. There is a dramatic difference in the highest heat sauce (Fire-in-da-hole) and the ghost pepper. I have yet to compare the heat level between fried and grilled (due to absorption). The lemonade and tea are fresh! If you are unsure which dipping sauce to try, ask the cashier for their favorite. Enjoy their side-options and their lunch special for $9.99.

Hidden Gem. Googled "hot Nashville chicken near me" because I saw a documentary about Nashville, and this style of food was mentioned. I never had a chicken thigh chicken sandwich until I tried this place out. It was delicious! The service was friendly and the place was spotless. I will be returning 👍🏼

Zeek was tentative and friendly. Moe was quick at making our food and got it as requested. It's always good. Food is always well cooked and I never been disappointed.

This was our first time here and absolutely loved it. The place was super clean, service was great and the food was excellent with lots of options. The tenders were so much larger than what the typical chicken place serves now a days. We’ll definitely be back!

Ms. Melinda was so hospitable and great. The chicken thighs were very tasty. Will definitely be back to visit Ms. Melinda and have lunch again.

Really good customer service. Everything in this picture is a 10/10. A lot of flavor and you can add on some good sauces, I tried the pimento cheese spread, pimento ranch and spiked honey, all really good! We will definitely be coming back.

I ordered a Sammie with ghost pepper heat. i wouldn't call it real ghost pepper because it was not spicy. It was really good, a tad bit salty, but good nonetheless. The Fries was beyond tasty! Everything was great 👍

Joella's Hot Chicken was an experience. It was the first time I signed a wavier to eat a meal and it was the first time I had hot sauce made from Carolina Reaper Peppers. It was outstanding! I definitely recommend the Kale Crunch Salad for a side. The service was exceptional and the DJ was on point with the music. I look forward to eating here again.
