Frenchy's Rockaway Grill

Thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Frenchy's. After a long, hot walk to get there, we were asked if we wanted to sit inside or out. Chose to have AC area inside. We were seated immediately. The restaurant wasn't overly crowded, but lively. The atmosphere and decor, inside, were stellar. Great view of the outdoors with the beach and Gulf as a backdrop. Server was pleasant and attentive. Meals were priced fairly and some even better than fair. I had the filet mignon and my son had the buffalo grouper meal. His food was excellent with the fish, fries and fruit bowl. Smoothie for him and a Heineken for me. While the flavor of my steak meal was good, it's highly unlikely it was filet mignon. Definitely had to use a steak knife to cut it and it lacked the taste of a filet. But for the price of the meal, it wasn't bad by any standard.
All and all, it was worth the walk in the excessive heat to get there and the outside area can't be beat. Right on Clearwater Beach with everything you could want in and out of a restaurant. A great combo and I understand why this place is the number one beach bar/restaurant. Would definitely go there again.

First time trying this place so we had to try a little bit of everything and it was amazing! Shrimp curry, seafood pot pie, shrimp tacos, tuna dip, and crab fries, it was all delicious! Highly recommend & will definitely be back.

Stopped in for a quick dinner! The staff were very friendly and the atmosphere was exactly what you look for in a beach restaurant. The restaurant is situated right on the beach with wonderful views of the ocean. The food itself was pretty good and is exactly what you look for in a beach restaurant!

Fenchy’s is a true beach vibe. The food and drinks are incredible, and the atmosphere is wonderful. The walk up bar is convenient and the seagull attacks are minimal 🤣🤪. Definitely coming back again soon.

We loved everything about this restaurant from the atmosphere to the location by the beach and especially what you hope is the star of every restaurant- the food! The She crab soup was so delightful with large pieces of sweet crab throughout the oh so creamy and delicious soup. We also tried the seafood platter with sides which was also so tasty and fresh. This restaurant is so good my wife and I ate here two days in a row during our visit to Clearwater Beach. A rare things for us to not try different restaurants while visiting new places but it was that good! Must go for anyone in the area. May be one of my favorite restaurants of all time.. hard to beat.

Now this is the Frenchy's right on the beach! Great place to catch a sunset. May be the biggest of them all. Was our 3rd stop for their cocktail challenge... almost done to get the shirt. Couple of bars, some tables out on the beach. They had live music and he was great. The food was great. The Grouper Pretel was tasty and so fun. Looks like a skeleton grouper hanging down. Crab fries...Mmmmm Got the Grouper filet, Blackened. Cooked to a flakey perfection. We had an issue with my wife's shrimp, but they have a 2 bite guarantee, no questions. Our waiter was spot on. We had a large party, like 12 people, and he got us all right. Super location, get there early, they get busy for Sunset.

Love this place!! Went on a Friday night. This one is Hugeee! We sat outside on the sand. So awesome! Kid friendly. Inside they had a guy playing drums and a bunch of girls singing and dancing, having fun. Waitress was very sweet. We shared a bunch of apps. Grouper nuggets, oysters rock, buffalo shrimp, crab Rangoon, steamed shrimp, kids tenders and fresh fruit. They have a private room for parties/events. 3-4 bars. Such a fun place. Wish we had one in Va Beach!

Cool cafe on the beach, the best of its kind. The food is very tasty, the portions are huge, the service is superb. I want to come back many times. I recommend it from the bottom of my heart.

What a great beachfront restaurant! I have been here a few times, and each time the food has been delicious, the atmosphere is vibrant, inviting, & laid-back and the waitstaff has been super friendly. We came this visit on a Monday at noon and were sat surprisingly fast with our party of 9 people. The server was pleasant, informative, and attentive! I love when a server refills a beverage without having to be asked!! I partook in the February special of Jalapeño Bacon Chicken and chose coconut rice and Cole slaw. It was flavorful and while not overpowering, the spice left my mouth burning for a little while after finishing but I was here for it! My friend enjoyed her salad as well (can’t remember which one it was!). I highly recommend trying this place out. Beware if you sit outside, you’re likely to leave with sand in places you didn’t expect but chalk it up to the experience and sit beach front if you can!

This was the Best Place we Ate at while in Clearwater, Place is on Beach huge eating area, Alot of Options on Menu, Waitress was Fabulous and the Food was Great, Prices are Good

Frenchy’s Rockaway Grill is an awesome family friendly seafood restaurant right off of Clearwater beach with ocean views, live music, sand volleyball and stunning sunsets just off the outdoor patio!

Our order: Fried Clam Strip basket, Crab Fries, Fried Coconut Shrimp and the Grouper Nugget Basket with a Lemon Drop

Parking is limited to a pay to park lot, so prepare to circle the block waiting on a spot or go early for easier parking. Highly recommend! Grier the waitress is a doll!

Indoor and outdoor casual dining-with your toes actually IN the white sand. Extremely busy local spot but worth the wait.

If you’re in Clearwater for the first time, you’ll see lots of frenchys (they each have frenchys on the name AND something else). Not sure if the menu is different from the other locations, but we chose the Rockaway grill.
We split the shrimp tacos and it came with some kind of sauce that paired really well with the fries.
My husband had the Buffalo grouper and I had the Cajun grouper. Both really tasty!!!
We struggled to choose dessert because everything that passed by us, looked so good! We ended up having the brownie with ice cream and whip cream

We were hyped by the reviews and menu. The placed lived up to its hype and some more. Amazing “colossal” grouper sandwiches. We tried Cajun, grilled and fried. All of them fresh and great tasting. Also salads: beets and super greens, were delicious, of course with a grouper filet on top. Kids food was also good. Calamari, onion strings and hush puppies were good too. Will be recommending to friends and family. Thank you. Happy holidays!

It is just the place to go with out if town guests for that great beach bar feel. The food is always consistent and yummy. I tried the ceviche for the first time and it was excellent! Super grouper is always my go to meal!

Overall, it was a great dining experience. The Cajun Grouper Sandwich might be best ordered as the 4oz or 6oz size as the colossal 8oz size is too fishy. Their kid's meals offered great value, and the fries with crab as appetizer was delicious. Grouper egg rolls made for an excellent appetizer.

One of our favorite places to eat while visiting Clearwater! Right on the beach. Crab fries were great, as was the rest of our order. The server seemed a bit disinterested. Perhaps we weren't very interesting.

Garlic Crab Fries. Try Em (even without the Crab) they're worthy every Dollar. Chicken Quesadilla was a bad Choice on my part. Lacking. Mahi Mahi was Delicious and the only Fresh/Juicy Mahi we've found in Florida (fyi Crabby's Mahi comes from Peru). Cajun here is Spicy🔥 Can't complain about anything else. Garbage Pails on table are Genius -but likely also have previous tables Scraps... we all sift our feet in that same soft sand so why worry bout that. Definitely recommend dining in the sand seating. Take your Sandals off. Enjoy an ambient Sunset or the Colorful daytime Atmosphere. Best Place for a Beachy Florida Experience. Affordable. Fun. $4 Virgins. Eclectic Menu. Take it all In.

10/10 every single time. All the locations are great, but I especially love this one to eat with my toes in the sand. The prices are reasonable, the fish and food is always fresh, and the waits go by fast. The she crab soup is so good! The grouper Rueben sandwhich was also very good. We got the ahi tuna nachos and that was refreshing with mango and pineapple but the grouper egg rolls were delicious and preferred.

We’ve been here many times, and not pictured I would recommend the fish shaped pretzel, the crab fries, and crab Rangoons.
