I’ve never had a problem with these people. They are really busy and have to put up with some bad attitudes. I don’t work there but I’ve been there.

Perfectly humorless! I felt like a guest on the new 1984 Disney ride! The employees here work tirelessly to produce a dystopic ambiance. You can tell they take their job very seriously. They must be employed to dehumanize, and reassure you that you are wasting their time. Your problem is only important to you after all! We all need to be a little less ego-centric. This place will help you identify your desires and aspirations for what they really are. They are an annoyance to others. Would visit again (not for help though)!

I thought it was going to be complicated but the people from the security guard till the person who is in the front desk were very nice

I have a question. Are we able to handle our business through the mail?

The staff was very empathetic and tried to resolve my issue. Hopefully, IRS Atlanta will do their job. The security guard was extremely helpful explaining the process to get an appointment.

Everything perfect except for the attention. A little smile and some kindness from the people working there would be great.
Not that you are going to make friends there but that would be a plus as a customer service.

Went today to resolve a problem and was met at the door by the rudest security guard, ask us what we wanted as if it was his business. Then he proceeded to tell us that they were not open due to a meeting. We drove over an hour and was turned away by an unprofessional security guard.

I took a friend there today to help her get an appointment as you can't get through on the phone. A very rude security guard opened the door and immediately began to be disrespectful to both of us. All we said was we were trying to make an appointment, the guard then began saying we better respect him, what a joke, and he could barely speak English. So we left. It's unbelievable to be treated this way. I would give 0 stars if I could.

They really deserve 0 stars! Security was extremely rude and shut the door in my face as I was trying to explain that I haven’t been able to get anyone on the phone to make an appointment. They’re HORRIBLE! Something needs to be done about it because these are important matters and too many people are having the same issues.

If I could give zero stars, I would. I've filed my taxes and can't through to the IRS over the phone (they keep saying that there are too many people calling and to call again later, then they hang up on me). I've been trying to call for a week. Gave up and tried to call the local office and the same thing happened. I went in today after driving 45 minutes to town to make an appointment in person and the guard was rude and turned me away, saying NO ONE in that office knows how to make an appointment. He gave me the run around and told me to keep calling the number that I've been calling for a week. Absolutely ridiculous!

From my phone experience, and reading comments here, it is obvious that government and its employees have a real attitude problem. We could ask nice, but tyrants see that as weakness. Perhaps the so called servants of the people need remedial training in servitude and as to who the boss really is.

I showed up at 8:12am, and was given the impression I was a burden by a early to mid 40s female white employee talking down to me for not knowing the service hours (starts at 8:30am) instead of just the lobby hours (8:00am). I came in to submit my tax return instead of mailing it. She didn't want to know more of what I was there for beyond the question of did I have an appointment. The response "no" meant I waited for 20 minutes.
I'm a tax payer that wasn't happy with my reception, nor the interactions with the government employees I met.
Make sure to schedule an appointment, and don't expect any dialogue before 8:30am.
