I’m so happy I took my 4Runner to Bay Body Shop! I was suspect at first because of the reviews but everything worked out just fine! I needed my rear bumper replaced because it was cracked and now it looks like a brand new car! James was awesome and very swift with returning my calls. I dropped my car off Monday and picked it up Friday! 10/10 recommend!

I want to thank Bay Body Shop for have a great and friendly staff, that do great work and will work with you anything automotive. Fabulous place. My car was hit by a deer and messed up pretty badly. They fixed it within 30 days and it looks new! They kept me informed and worked beautifully with my insurance company. They definitely will have my continued business.

I have used Bay body shop after several accidents, they are great with car repairs, the paint looks amazing, and it’s all been done in a timely manner.
I can only recommend this body shop, you will not be disappointed, they pay close attention the detail and make sure it’s right.

So I had a small encounter with a pole at Publix back in August. I called the Toyota dealership to ask about repairs and they said they send all their cars to Bay Cars body shop in Panama City. I took it to them on September 9 and the estimated cost was a little less than $5000. The insurance company agreed and Bay told me the car would be ready October 1. I arrived in October ready to pick it up and they told me there was a problem with the frame and it was at the mechanic getting the motor removed so they could straighten the frame. The cost jumped to over $11,000! 6 weeks later, November 15, I arrived to pick it up and they said they were having problems with the mechanic getting the engine reinstalled. They assured me it would be ready in a few weeks. December 28 when I called to pick it up they were saying that when they got the motor back, all sorts of bells and whistles went off and they were trying to figure out what was wrong. The new estimate for repairs has now gone up to $14,000. They assured me it would be ready by the end of the week. At this point I’ve gotten my insurance company involved and they sent a representative to the shop to figure out what was happening. They found out that the body shop and the mechanic had a problem because there were issues putting the motor back in and there was a dispute on who was responsible and the car had just been sitting at the mechanic shop for several months. Every time I called I got a different story from the manager Greg about what was happening and when the car would be ready. My insurance adjuster and I were getting completely different stories each time we called. Fast forward to February when I called to pick up my car and low and behold it still wasn’t ready. Apparently there was damage to the motor from sitting outside with the hood off for several months and damage was done to the fuel injector. Turns out there was damage to all sorts of other parts and they finally sent it to the Toyota dealership for them to fix it as the mechanic was unable to. $5000 later my car was fixed and returned to the body shop on Friday February 24. They submitted the $5000 bill to the insurance company to make the final total almost $20,000! They told the insurance company they wouldn’t release the car until the bill was paid in full. Needless to say, the insurance company was not to pleased because they thought the problems were a result of negligence on the part of the body shop. A week later the insurance company finally settled the bill for about $4200. I was going to pick up my car on Friday as we were leaving on Saturday and turns out Bay decided it might be a good idea to finally test drive the car since they had it sitting there for a week, and surprise, there was a problem. I finally threw a fit and they were able to get it fixed (an alignment problem) and get it ready for me to pick up.

-Six months on a repair that was scheduled to take 14 Days

-$20,000 repair bill with initial estimate at $5000. This is half the price of the car and insurance company said they never would have authorized that cost as they would have just totaled it instead.

When I finally picked it up late Friday afternoon, nothing was said except that they’d picked a bad mechanic.

Don’t use Bay Cars Body shop in PC they’re a rip off!

Took my car in for an estimate, they tore my whole car apart without telling me what was wrong and began work. Kept my car for 2 weeks. Argued that I signed a “right to work” I did not. They realized their mistake put the car back together and now I’m sitting at another body shop because a window stopped working. The new body shop took the door panel off and asked if someone had been in there recently. It was missing bolts and screws (which we found sitting in on of the other side doors) likely causing my window issue. By far worst experience.

Totally incompetent and cannot handle the intricacies of dealing with an insurance company, which wasted a lot of my time. They are overbooked and overwhelmed -- extremely nice people, but not organized or professional.
