I ended up with a nail in my tire coming off I70, and pulled in here. My insurance company couldn't find anyone to help for hours so I went inside and the very kind man inside got right on his phone and had me in touch with another employee/mechanic in minutes. Bret was so incredibly helpful, and had the tire patched in no time. He made what could have been a long inconvenience into a very minor bump in the road, and was so straight up, just plain no nonsense, kind and wanting to help. I see there are negative reviews about this station, but I can say that I would absolutely recommend a stop here, no hesitation at all. Thank you so much - the world would be a better place with more people like this!

We have been coming to this store for years. Yogi' s gas station is a staple for our community. We are thankful for his dedication to our town! Note to someone coming here.... Restrooms are for customers, which when people just stop and use the facilities and dont read the signs or respect the rules, you are in the wrong not the store owner. People need to quit taking advantage of the rules and slandering the store online because they got caught breaking them. There is a public restroom across the street.

This is a great gas station. The main problem is when people use the bathroom, and take up gas pump spaces. There is a public restroom right across the street in the visitor center for those who don't plan on buying anything, and just need to use the restroom. It's the little blue house.

As a resident of Empire, I was so happy when the gas station reopened not having to drive to Georgetown or Idaho Springs during heavy traffic or crummy weather. I have patronized this location hundreds of times and have always had a great experience. The addition of a liquor store, is a bonus for those needing some adult beverages for their adventures.

Ignore every negative review you've read about this place The owner or any staff is a very friendly quiet place to get in and get out with what you need anybody who has complained is simply asking too much of a small mountain town gas station experience The gentleman is genuinely helpful in assisting you to find things if you can't all of them are as well as in stock of a variety of things the most don't know they need until they have to have it this guy looks out for all of his customers and is a very pleasant person at all times living in the town again and for many many many many years He's a great guy and I have no ill will or words

The owner and employees at this convenient store are very courteous. This is a great place to stop before heading up the mountain for your adventure.

Awesome service. Lots of variety in the Convenience Store and Hot subway inside the gas station makes it the best.

Man working was extremely rude. We stopped to get gas and water and I had to use the restroom. He stopped me before entering the store and told me I couldn’t use it, I just said “okay no worries” and started walking away and he yelled after me “you can use google to find public bathrooms, use some common sense” as if using a bathroom at a gas station where you are a customer isn’t common sense. There was even a sign that said there were bathrooms for customers. Really weird.

People need to learn better custumer service and how to talk and treat others better. They should just say " Bathrooms are for paying customers only please" and " If you need a public restroom there is one across the street for your convenience" in a nice friendly manner. Just a friendly tip so you don't go out of business.

Never give this place your business. I stopped for gas here and filled up my tank. Afterwards, I went inside to use the bathroom and the manager told me to go somewhere else because "our restrooms are for customers only." I told him that I had just filled up my tank and he made me point at my car out the window. My friend was moving it away from the pump to let someone else fill up. When I came out of the bathroom, he began screaming at me, saying "You will NOT be able to buy gas from me! I know your nature! You are not a worthy customer!" and talked over me 4 times as I explained I had already bought a tank of gas. As I left, he went out to the pump to confirm that I had bought gas. I will never return to this place.

I don't know how this place is even still open. My girlfriend had to use the bathroom and told the owner she was going to purchase water and Gatorade. The owner was very rude and threw his arms up and tried to make her pay first before using bathroom. This is the worst gas station I've ever been to. You would be out of business if you treated people like this in any other city.

To the comment saying you have to follow "rules." We tried and the owner was still rude. AVOID and give your money to another city's business.

Rude, frugal owner. The only reason this place stays open is due to it being the only close gas station to the local community. Went in there to get some Advil and ice (since I severely injured my leg skiing) and the owner insisted on charging us PER Cup for just ice. I understand it shouldn’t be free but this opportunistic unsympathetic owner literally saw only profit in another persons pain and misfortune, ZERO SYMPATHY. Next door at Dairy King (where the employees actually care about other people) we were happily provided with all the free Advil and ice I needed.

I also like all the passive aggressive signs posted around the place, VERY inviting.

The other reviews say it all, I don’t understand why people put up with this place unless you live there and you have to. Definitely do not recommend stopping here unless you are out of gas. Otherwise you probably will get yelled at and overcharged for trying to use a bathroom before paying...

Stopped in this morning because my daughter was feeling sick. Greeted by who appeared to be the owner/manager who immediately said "Bathrooms are for customers." While I was waiting on my daughter I overheard this person rudely talking/ordering around a female employee. When my daughter was finished I was going to use the bathroom and he proceeded to tell me, in a thick Indian accent, I had to wait 30 seconds, couldn't I read the sign (along with at least 4 other hand written signs on the door) and that he learned English in India and what was on the sign is English. Needless to say I bit my lip, but not totally. That guy is a real jack wagon and I will never stop there. I will also share this story with anyone I can.

Kids needed to use the bathroom, the owner yelled at my pre school aged kids. Went across the street to Colorado Country for snacks and drinks instead, and they didn't make you purchase anything to use their bathroom, we made a purchase their to make a point. Took everything I had to not punch him in the face for yelling at a small child.

Worst gas station experience in years! The older Indian man( assumed owner) was extremely rude to me on my return from Winter Park. On 1/9/15 I stopped in to gas up, buy a subway sandwich and snacks. While waiting for the truck in front of me to pull up in order for me to get into the pump I parked behind him and started to clean my windshield. Within minutes of me doing so he came outside and started yelling at me to move. After explaining to him I was waiting for the truck in front of me to move so I can get to the pump he still proceeded to tell me to move. DO NOT PATRON THIS STORE. Go to the gas station in Dumont instead. They are courteous and have a much better selection of convenient store items.

What a piece of garbage who I'm assuming was the manager or owner. I went in to buy some snacks and use restroom but needed restroom first- so as I'm waiting for restroom to be available, and this garbage comes up and tells me I can't use the restroom and need to go across the street to the public restrooms. I have filled up gas and bought snacks there every time we go through empire and they repay by embarrassing me in front of other customers in there. And to people defending him and saying it's for customers only.... WE WERE PAYING CUSTOMERS LOL this guy has no business being a manager.
