Sunspot Mountaintop Lodge

Lots of options and one spot! We loved the ride up and back in the gondola and enjoyed music at the top with hot chocolates. There was also a little wine bar situation for a quieter setting and a dining area surrounded by windows on the other side. Next time we’ll go up for dinner!

We bought a Gondala ticket just to go up to Sun Spot (we don't ski). The women who sold us our ticket didn't tell us that the SunSpot was closed. So we paid 50 bucks each to go up there... and it was CLOSED!

The employees had everything shut down. We asked if they were reopening later in the evening and she said no. She saw our disappointment and kindly offered a hot cocoa to go (to drown our misery).

We didn't eat, but they were throughly cleaning everything and the staff was nice.

Wish we could have experienced a drink or two on the deck with those gorgeous views.

Very cool but closed by 230pm for main food and 3pm for drinks and snacks. Beautiful lodge with amazing views!

Nice place to take a break while skiing or Snowboarding the mountain. Food, drinks and great lodge atmosphere.

The view is amazing. We've spent for $20 (just food, without drinks) per person during summer season. I found it's reasonable and the food was delicious. Curious what priced do they have during the winter. No people during September (we were on weekday). Friendly stuff.

Located at the top of the Gondola in Winter Park, this lodge has delicious burgers, a full bar, and plenty of seating with good spacing. Although pricey, the grille made a flavorful and juicy burger that hit the spot! I definitely recommend getting a locally brewed Mary Jane Ale if you're of age!

5 stars cause the view from up there is breathtaking!!!! The gondola ride alone has such incredible views. I don't ski or snowboard yet, so I was just accompanying my husband who was snowboarding. The history of Mary Jane isn't what you think, ask about it😉 It gets pretty crowded up there during lunch hour. Watch out for the cute birdies on the prowl to fly off with your food left aside. The lodge food is the only downside for various reasons but who goes up there for food anyway? The wonderful views and company is all you need. They have a fully stocked bar too! Do not drink and ski though!

Went here during the summer season. Took the gondola up and had a great lunch. Although they had the expected ski slope inflation the food was great and came with an awesome view.

Spectacular top of the world view. Refreshing water which is shockingly free of charge. We took the gondola up end of summer, pristine day, clear blue blue blue Colorado skies. Drinks, food and restrooms at the top. The lodge is stunning

We were so excited to see the new Chicken Spot offers a 100% gluten free menu. Finding yummy food at Winter Park is tricky if your celiac and our meal was delicious. Good service, menu and view.

We visited Sunspot for some apres ski and it was awesome! Taking the gondola up after skiing was a cool experience. We didn't grab any food, but we did sip on some drinks. The espresso martinis were straight up amazing! Plus, there was a bluegrass band jamming out and it was great! The vibe was just perfect and we had a blast.

This restaurant has beautiful views. The food was great too, but pricey. That we expected, however, since it was at the top of the mountain.

Enjoyed the whole trip and the staff is great and make you feel wonderful and right at home. Always offering there help and/or guidance when they could or even felt like they should. Will visit again for sure.

Wow what an experience! Top of the mountain with views over looking the continental divide. Beautiful timber lodge inside. Great chicken tenders and cold beer on tap!

Try the Mary Jane IPA beer. It certainly hits the spot at 8,000ft 🤪🍻

There was lots of fresh snow this morning. The drinking fountain is always available, and the restrooms are large. Nice rest break with great view.

What a view! Huge timber frame building. Great starting point for no matter what your skill level is. You can also ride the gondola up and down for the non skiers.
