Happy Father's Day to all my dads and pops out there! Got to celebrate with mine, mom and sister for the Sunday Jazz brunch at @corvinokc.

I'd been dying to get in and try this menu since they launched earlier this Spring. It was great. Easy to get a reservation scheduled through @exploretock. We went on the tail end of service, 1245 res, and it gave us the right speed to sit and enjoy the food and company and always welcoming staff and ambience.

The artistry of each of the pastries were as beautiful and delicate as the flavors. Lemon meringue, curd filled croissant was flaky, crunchy and a nice true lemon taste. The sticky roll was said to have been one of dads best tasting out there. That's saying something. I also love pistachio anything.
They were both big and split well.

If you've never been to Corvino, not only do I recommend but the NYTimes lists the Seaweed Donut as a top 25 Dishes from across the nation. I didn't even get a photo before we all dug in. Someone went without trying the Roe, I've never had leftovers of either. The pillows are light and fluffy, great umami from the Seaweed. The right salty, and nothing is overpowering. The popping is a fun sensation. A signature dish you've got to try.

The crossover of menu items for brunch and dinner is nice. You can order several of my favorites. The fingerling potatoes were the best smashed potato plate I've ever had. Potato chip garnish over a cheese aioli. If I could have one potato anyway for the rest of my life, this would be it. I've also had the Asparagus Salad several times. I had to make sure to "eat your veggies". All veggies should come with ricotta cheese and cured egg yolk.

I had to try the Benedict. They offer it two different ways, and I messed this up. I had to have the traditional with Paradise Locker ham. The other had Avocado, raclette cheese and chili crunch. My mom also got the traditional. We should have tried both. Next time.

Ordering a burger is a must, no matter what. They were able to do an OG Corvino burger, rather than the brunch burger with a Sunnyside egg for us.

The always outgoing staff, shout out to Erin, made this a great celebration and a fun new way to experience Corvino Supper Club. Do it.

If you order with an adventurous palate in mind you will not be disappointed. I’m from out of town and have tried thousands of restaurants. Service was superb, food was fantastic, mocktails were incredible. Left satisfied and wayyyy too full. No regrets.

Had a wonderful experience last night. Got the house fries, tete de Moines (thinly shaved cheese w apricots), cheeseburger, spinach and ricotta pasta and their fried chicken. 4 of us shared. Ended w the chocolate ganache dessert.

Excellent service by Eddy. Live jazz band. Great vibe.

We had a wonderful dinner experience at the Supper Club with friends. The bill was steep, but we knew what we were signing up for, and it was worth every penny. There was an excellent pianist and the service was top notch.

You absolutely must get the fried chicken. You won't be disappointed.

Incredible. Best meal I've had in awhile. So unique, everything you get will blow your mind. The ribeye was so tender and juicy. Perfection. This is a must go in KC. We went in and just grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered all of our entrees with the bartender. The live music addition just perfects the atmosphere!

Had a very unique dining experience here, we went on a very chill day, around 4pm on a Thursday and had the place pretty much all to ourselves for a while which was really cool. I didn’t realize how spacious the restaurant was, there were so many seating areas.

Their menu was a designed to be shareable and our server was very upfront about the size of the dishes so we knew beforehand that the serving sizes were relatively small. We ordered 5 plates which was a perfect amount of food for 2 people.

We got to try the steak tartare, which tasted really fresh, I thought the application of the egg yolk piped on top was very artsy. We also liked how fresh the smoked beets dish was, it paired perfectly with the ricotta and sweet black grapes. The crispy pork ribs were cooked to perfection, it wasn’t saucy per se but you could taste the bold flavour of the fish sauce marinade in each bite.

So on to our two favourite dishes of the night; the pumpkin agnolotti and the seaweed donuts. Both were quite the culinary experience and shouldn’t be skipped. The trout roe cream was so fun to enjoy with the funky slightly sweet donuts which were unbelievably pillowy soft. The pumpkin pasta was perfectly el dente and the miso butter pine cut combination made it an adventure. One con was that I did feel that $36 for a small bowl of pasta was very expensive. In fact, quite a few of the dishes were priced too high considering portion size but the quality made up for it.

We were tempted to order a 6th plate for dessert but we were stuffed after the dining experience.

Great menu choices and extensive wine list. The tuna tostada was the highlight but all the dishes we tried were worth the price. Service is attentive without being intrusive. Atmosphere is dark and warm which might turn some people away but we felt it connected with the live music and overall vibe of the menu. So many little details and finesse on each individual dish.

Completely worth the hype. The seaweed donuts are worth trying just to see if your taste buds are aligned with those of the New York Times’ staff. Adult candy is one of the best cocktails I’ve ever had in my life. The bartender poured a perfect ratio that wasn’t too sweet or bitter. The lamb roasted pasta could be the best thing on the menu but the whipped tofu in the Chinese broccoli is also worth the experience. Topped the night off with the apple pie and had 0 regrets. Even with the water main broken downtown, this restaurant provided world-class service, quality, and ambiance without missing a beat.

Did the 10 course tasting menu paired with drinks last Saturday and it was fantastic! Very creative, elegant, and most importantly tasted incredible. See my photos to get a better idea. The staff was very professional and kept a relaxing atmosphere. The pace of the food was perfect and the drinks were enough to get a good buzz going. Definitely recommend! I’m hoping to come back and try food off the main menu.

This is a bright spot in the culinary landscape of Kansas City. I took a rare opportunity to take myself to dinner on a whim, and everything was perfect. I sat at the bar and watched the show in the kitchen. Everything was perfectly orchestrated and executed...there was a little Bourdain moment about it.

Some reviewers have commented that the menu seems odd, pretentious, or disjointed. I found it to be the opposite. Everything was very purposeful and simple. Each flavor stood on its own, while complimenting its food-friends.

The West Coast oysters were small, plump, and buttery. The Summer Squash with ramp vinaigrette, nasturtium, and pink peppercorn was ridiculously good. Each little piece of squash was better than the next (que Remy from Ratatouille). The Chinese Broccoli with Garlic Crunch and Whipped Tofu was so simple, yet SO amazing! And then, there is the Whole Branzino...de-boned, stuffed with anchovies, dill and other fresh herbs, green and dried black olives, and capers...then tempura battered and fried. This was a perfect dish. Simply a perfect dish.

Watching the diners next to me, the Ricotta and Peas looked amazing...a seasonal offering that they specifically came in for. They inhaled the fried chicken like none other, and the Maitake Mushroom with smoked hummus, fava beans, wild herbs, and preserved lemons did not last long with them either. To the other side of me, they raved about the Gnocchi Bolognese (which, i am glad they did, as I have an issue with meat sauce on Gnocchi in general). Both groups had the little pillows that were the Seawood Donuts with Trout Roe & Cream. One group had the Rock Shrimp Toast with Whipped Chicken Liver and the other had the House Fries with Smoked Malt Aioli. Not a crumb was wasted and they all left smiling and happy. My only culinary regret is that I did not order the Ricotta & Peas as well...hopefully it will still be there when I return.
***NOTE: went back the next week with my daughter...sat at the bar again.. and got the peas...definitely worth the second trip.

The bar staff was excellent. Chris and the team were able to read the room well. They left me alone or engaged with me at appropriate times. Their recommendations were on point and they were very seamless in their interactions with one another and the other guests.

This is not a place to go gorge yourself on one giant dish because that is the American way. Some dishes are larger than others...this is with intent. This a restaurant that cares about the quality, the presentation, and the freshness of the food and drinks they are serving, and it shows. Slow down, take time to appreciate things, and enjoy the little surprises in life. This is Corvino Supper Club.

One of my favorite restaurants in KC so far. Their happy hour is fantastic - 25% off the entire menu except certain bottles of wine, I believe. Service is exceptional. My favorite dishes: Steak tartare (tasted like a cheeseburger), seaweed donuts, gnocchi bolognese, crispy ribs and my husband loved their burger. I don’t think I would get the oysters again. There were other tastier items available.

Only complaint I have is I wish they would have brought 1 plate out at a time vs multiple since it was just the 2 of us. You are asked to order everything at once so I felt a little bit rushed when the food started coming. Still 5 stars for me!

A 5-star experience every time. I've come in for dinner dates with my husband, and we always marvel at the culinary works of art, the delicate detail of every dish, and craft cocktails to boot. I also like that the waitstaff bring small plates in a particular order designed to maximize their enjoyment.

This was my first brunch visit, coincidentally their last brunch offering for a while, and my friends and I agreed that this was the best, most artful take on some classic dishes (heck, even my friend's cheeseburger was a cut above any cheeseburgers any of us have had before!). My eggs benedict were perfectly poached and overflowing with yolk inside, the chili crunch topper a delightful twist. The servings may seem small, but are filling and worth savoring with every bite!

I'll come back here again and again.

My date and I had been looking to dine at Corvino for some time and it did not disappoint. There was live music (a pianist and a bassist) which we thoroughly enjoyed and the service was excellent, but we definitely came and will return for the food.

We had the seaweed donuts with trout roe, slightly salty and sweet, overall amazing. The cabbage and sticky ribs were also standouts, and the pasta was clearly delicately made by hand. Thank you Corvino and family for creating an amazing dining experience and excellence in taste.

We did the tasting room and the staff was SO awesome. They were very friendly and personable and were very helpful when it came to recommending drinks. They did an amazing job at setting the mood. The food was delicious and the entire experience was just fantastic. The courses had lots of foods and flavors that I have never tasted before and it was really neat to be able to try a wide variety of new things here.

Inventive menu here with delicious choices. Try the seaweed donuts with trout roe spread for some very flavorful bites. The onion soup with fish fritters was equally delicious. We also enjoyed the Pork Katsu main - a crispy fried cutlet still juicy inside. Nice atmosphere with a piano player who starts at 6pm and the service was excellent.

Small plates with bursting flavor. Creativity won the day. The piano bar vibe was fitting to kick off restaurant week with a smorgasbord of small plates. The tables favorites were the carrots (Mediterranean style bursting with a depth of textures and flavors), the donuts (nothing special alone but the trout roe created a texture of popping grounded by the silky cream). The delicata squash was perfectly roasted in a creamy broth of coconut milk and distinctive lime flavor. As long as the price tag doesn’t turn you off, this place was 5 star from food to service to ambiance!

Enjoyed every bite here! The vibe was great, the service was perfect and every dish was delicious! The fried chicken might have been the best I've had, but the seaweed donuts are a must too!

Top five restaurants in KC, one of the best happy hour menus I've had the pleasure of ordering from and some of the friendliest bartenders I've met. I'd recommend stopping in and trying Corvino for yourself. In terms of what to order I don't think you can go wrong.
