The Inn At Varick Winery

One of if not the best B&Bs my wife and I have stayed in. Everything was absolutely perfect. The house is stunning. You are basically on the lake. The wine is excellent. The inn keeper, Taylor was not only incredibly friendly and helpful but also a tremendous cook. I could write a book on how great this place is but I think you get the idea. Our 21st anniversary was amazing and we can't wait to spend #22 at The Inn at Varick Winery.

My husband and I had a wonderful stay at the Inn at Varick Winery. The Inn and rooms are beautiful! We were met cheerfully by Taylor. She gave us a tour of the Inn and told us about the offerings. There were warm cookies available all the time!
The rooms are cozy and have all the comforts of home! We were treated to appetizers and wine in the evening! The next morning we enjoyed a hearty and delicious breakfast!
We will definitely return!

The staff and owners are so nice. The grounds are beautiful, including the cherry orchard, the fire pit by the lake, the private pond and the creek that runs behind the inn. The innkeeper, Taylor, made so much effort to make us happy and bring us food and wine when we got there. She even brought us a lantern in case we wanted to explore the property at dusk. Breakfast was great too. This place exceeded my expectations. We'll definitely come back.

This is my wife and I’s second stay here. The hospitality is second to none. The inn keepers Drew and Taylor did an amazing job, and the Varick Winery wine is incredible. The owner Bob gave us a tour of the entire property which was the highlight of the weekend. The fires in front of the lake make each evening memorable. The rooms are clean and comfortable. I highly recommend staying here if you are looking for a quiet get away.

This is a beautiful place to stay!! The rooms are super clean and comfortable! The staff was very welcoming and very nice. The breakfast was delicious too! We have stayed here twice and will most definitely stay again! We were there this June and ate breakfast each morning on the back deck. You can walk thru the cherry orchard to the winery. Then at night we sat out by the lake and the staff built us a fire in the fire pit. Plus, it is very close to several wineries on the Cayuga Lake wine trail.
Such a great place to get away and relax!! Looking forward to going back again next year!!!

From the approach to the inn where you experience beautiful grounds and flowers, to the warm welcome by Taylor, to the totally relaxed atmosphere as you go back in time to the 1830's when the Inn was constructed, to the rooms that are well-appointed with furnishings from that time in history when life was so much simpler. It is a wonderful experience. Our Innkeeper was Taylor. She is the ultimate host. She met us at our car, welcomed us to the Inn and met our every need. She is so very friendly and helpful. She gave us a tour of the Inn and gave us wine as we sat on the deck overlooking the meadow and all of its flowered beauty. Wine, sun and a babbling brook - so absolutely relaxing.

The stay includes a free tasting at the adjacent Varick Winery. A great range of wonderful wines and a great conversation with Bob who is the owner of the properties. Bob gave all kinds of information on the history of the Inn.

Take the time to enjoy the pond on the hillside. Sit, enjoy the wine and the sun. In the afternoon Taylor provides a snack of select cheeses and meats.

Taylor recommended a wonderful lakeside restaurant. When we returned Taylor gave us wine and gave us directions to the lakeside fire pit across the road. They think of every detail. Bob had set the fire. They had even thought to provide us with a lantern for our return walk to the Inn.

Taylor provided us with a "cooked to order" breakfast; delicious and plentiful. We ate on the deck.

Taylor does everything to ensure that your visit to this wonderfully restored 1830's Inn is perfect.

We'll be back this Autumn to experience crisper nights, the breath taking Fall foliage and all the Inn has to offer.

The inn was very warm and welcoming. Taylor was a great host, very friendly but we still had lots of privacy. We spend one night here on our honeymoon, it was perfect but I would suggest staying at least two nights as there is so much to enjoy there.

The food, the wine, (and beer) the house, rooms, and grounds are fabulous. My husband & I were made to feel so special by both Taylor and Drew. The best stay I have ever had, beautiful place, best hosts. Met Bob the owner last year, could not do enough for us. Then Taylor and Drew out did any expectations we possibly could have had. Will be back again.

Tranquil, lovely stay. Like being the guest in an elegant country home. Lots of special touches and personal service. Winery nearby in bucolic setting. Even had a nice bonfire by the lake. Would definitely stop in again.

Great views, great wine, and tons of things to see around the property. There are plenty of places to stay in the finger lakes, but the staff here went over and above to make our stay outstanding.

Fantastic Experience!

We booked at The Inn At Varick Winery and were not disappointed. Booking online through their website was easy. When we arrived Jennifer was waiting for us with fresh baked cookies and a detailed review of what was available and expected during our stay. The grounds include over a hundred acres of orchards, vineyards and manicured lawns. Aside from the main house and barns, they have a boathouse and fire pit area on the lakeshore. This was a great way to enjoy more wine from their winery. We were welcomed to explore and enjoy the beautiful grounds at our leisure. Our room was very clean and the inn was comfortably appointed. The charm of wide-plank floors of this inn and stone work from the early 1800’s combined with the modern, luxurious bathrooms made for the perfect mix of old and new. The nightly hors d’oeurvres were delicious, plentiful and matched with wines of our choosing. The breakfasts were also delicious and we were able to select our preference of breakfast casserole in addition to the many other breakfast items available. We tried four different breakfast casseroles and all were excellent.

We’ve stayed in a number of B&Bs over the years and this was by far our favorite. Bob & Jennifer were wonderful hosts and all the other staff members followed suit. A visit to the adjacent Varick Winery for a complimentary tasting was just another treat afforded to us during the stay.

We had a lovely time! Bob, Tracey, and Fred, they are all wonderful, we’ve been there many times and keep coming back for more. Great location for wine tasting trips!

The Inn at Varick Winery is such a hidden gem along Cayuga Lake. We just returned from our second visit and will definitely be back.

This was the best bed-and-breakfast we have ever been at. Taylor spoiled us! It was the most wonderful anniversary ever.
