Fat Papas

The owners are super nice. My kids loved the ice cream. We stopped by to warm up after a trip to Wilson Tuscarora State Park, which is a short drive away. Nice small town diner vibes. Very clean.

They are learning. Food has IMPROVED and prices seem to be more reasonable.. I really hope that they continue growing and providing great food. I'm changing my initial rating from 2 stars to 5 stars

Came in for 3 breakfast sandwiches, 1 with bacon, 2 with sausage. They improved their breakfast sandwiches. They went from nasty "over easy" eggs to scrambled. GREAT DECISION 👍... They eggs, sausage and bacon were cooked throughout and the cheese was melted. Unfortunately, all 3 buns were burnt.

My bill came out to about $15 for 3 sandwiches.

They had a different chef. He is much better, and was very friendly. ***

Original post: It hurts a great deal to say this, but I did not have a pleasant experience when we tried their breakfast.

I love local restaurants, and supporting local businesses.

I hope the owners take this review as constructive criticism, because I would LOVE to be a repeat customer. If they change a few things, I'd love to give this place another chance because I'd love to see this business be successful.

The best place to have a restaurant. On the corner in the village of Wilson

●Food:
☆ 1 STAR ☆ 😔

I ordered:
• 1 Coffee to go. Coffee was good. No complaints 👌

•2 orders of French toast. I hate to say this, but I make better french toast at home. The french toast was thin, soggy and flavorless. They used regular sliced sandwich bread.

•2 orders of home fries. The potatoes were not cooked thoroughly and were raw. They need to cut the potatoes into smaller pieces to cook the home fries. Only the outside of the potato chuncks were cooked. The insides were hard and crunchy.

• 2 Breakfast sandwiches. The bacon was only half cooked, and very "rubbery". I had to remove the bacon and throw it away.. The cheese was cold and unmelted and there was only one tiny (half cooked)egg on the sandwich. The egg still had runny egg whites (Aka- "egg snot)
I suppose I should of specified how I wanted my egg cooked, so I didn't let the egg effect my rating.

For my food (and 20% tip), I spent around $60.
If the food was good, I wouldn't mind paying that much. But it wasn't.

The staff was friendly, but I waited 38 minutes to get my food from the time I ordered it. Yes, I timed it. I always time my wait when I'm at a restaurant. Just one of the weird things I do. 😒

Again, I REALLY don't like leaving these reviews, but I REALLY hope I can come back and change this review for the better. This place has gone through so many businesses, Id like to see this one succeed. With tough competition all around, they will have to kick it into high gear and make changes..

Ill try this place again in about a month, and ill update my review if any changes have been made.

Tried a simple eggs , toast and hash browns to go the other day. Was good no complaints. I just wish that you guys would show both your morning and evening menus online to see. Right now I have no way of knowing what you serve in evenings and I'm curious

Local diner for very reasonable prices. Went there with a friend for breakfast. Fast service from the waitress and large coffee mugs. A few downfalls that I saw was very limited munu and only offered one type of toast. Might be because they just recently opened. Had eggs toast and homefries. Well cooked except a few of the potatoes were just under cooked. Friend had the sausage and nothing special but seemed ok. Total bill was very reasonable! Don't know if you can find a better price around. Not the best restaurant but worth the time to go there.

Ok food for breakfast, kind of pricy. 8.00 for 2 eggs, home fries toast and coffee. Tried to give the waitress a tip but the owner said she wouldn't accept it anyway. Guess it was included in the 8.00.

Service was poor waited over an hour for food pancakes were so undercooked you couldn't eat them. We saw our waitress 2 times when she took our order and when the food was brought out. After complaining about undercooked food the blonde lady was unbelievably rude. The inside was nice but everything else was awful. Hours are terrible.Would not recommend. I'm a local been there once and will never go back.

Extremely disappointed .. breakfast was far from what I would even say was good ..portions were small ( literally a half of a potato for a serving of hash browns ) soggy bacon .. we have family in Wilson and come here often . We were really hoping for more than we got . It was not inexpensive and we were certainly not wowed by any means ..we should’ve gotten egg mc muffins on our way in
