Great bakery for sandwiches and sweets. The parmesean garlic bagel was fantastic, as are the croissants. I tried a glazed cake donut and my partner had a ginger bread Santa. All very delicious!!

Local Rochester gem serving home baked pastries and cakes, sandwiches and salads, coffee and cold drinks. Prices are excellent, quality is good and service is great. Not a lot of seating, but the majority of business is pickups and takeout. I ride 45 mins on my motorcycle from Portsmouth because the 236 and 101 make a nice ride and the destination never fails to satisfy. Stop in, have lunch or coffee and cake. You won't regret it.

We love coming to Potter's! Too many delicious treats to even choose just one. Their sandwiches are great as well. The staff is friendly and you can tell they are family oriented. They even have some toys on the wall to entertain the little ones. We don't live in the area but will forever carve out time to venture here. Thank you for all you guys do!

This is a lovely bakery. I went here on a whim to get a cake for a birthday and it was a huge hit. My family talked about it so much that now it is there go to spot for celebrations. One time we didn't call it in and got the death by chocolate in gluten free and I swear you couldn't even tell!
Also the staff is super friendly and just all around nice people.
If you need a specific cake I'd call ahead because they do sell out.

Awesome breakfast spot! We stopped in because of a review that said it was a great asset for Rochester- and it for sure is. 11/10 jalapeño cheddar bagel! Wow. Hash browns were tasty as well. Baked goods looked amazing, will have to stop in for those another time.

I ordered a apple pie for Thanksgiving this year because my whole family was missing my mom's apple pie. My mom made the best apple pie I had ever tasted, so I didn't have extremely high hopes, I just wanted something close to hers. Potter's blew us away, the pie was so good!! I can't say I was really surprised considering how good everything is there but their apple pie has second place to my mom's in my opinion. THANK YOU, for making our Thanksgiving a little easier without having our mom/Nana with us.

Haven't been back since they first opened as we were not overly impressed. They have made significant changes and the food is amazing! Have sampled many things including the cakes and they are all delicious with great flavors. HIGHLY Recommend!

Wonderful place for lunch, and, of course, a “little something” to take home! Their baking is consistently excellent! They have soups, salads, and individually made sandwiches. As for recommending baked goods, there is no “all of the above!”

I really loved stopping here. The people behind the counter were warm, courteous, kind and greeted many of the people in line by name and with personal details. They clearly prioritize human service, hospitality and doing good deeds... not to mention that the food was delicious! We would absolutely recommend this place and will be back.

Potter's House Bakery and Cafe is a special place nestled in Rochester New Hampshire. Not only do they employ people with special abilities, The staff always set a welcoming atmosphere. The bakery is absolutely phenomenal, including all the delectables and bagels. They have a cooler with freshly prepared meals and they also make beautiful cakes. Great breakfast sandwich on one of the best bagels I’ve had in a long time (jalapeño cheddar). Awesome donuts and a really friendly and clean vibe. A true asset for Rochester!

Im pregnant and even if I wasn’t I would still leave this same review time and time again. My grandparents come here almost daily for breakfast sandwiches and goodies. Today they decided to bring my 3yr old and I while my husbands at work. I got the most amazing cinnamon roll I’ve ever had and honestly I don’t even like bakery cinnamon rolls, usually I’m a pillsbury kinda girl but this cinnamon roll literally has me almost in tears because of how delicious it is. I haven’t been able to stomach much this pregnancy so far but thanks to this place I know where to go for something I can actually eat. 💕 Not only are their bakery items to DIE FOR but their breakfast sandwiches are delicious & their customer service is even better!

Love this little bakery! Everything is freshly made in house in smallish quantities daily. Ive gone many times and have not had a bad experience at all. Staff are super friendly and the place is immaculately clean.

Amazing people and the best place to hang out and have coffee or a nice muffin, pastries, or even the most delicious breakfast sandwiches there is! Definitely check them out because the owners are super friendly and the staff are very social and nice! This is always my local go to bakery plus you can order the best cupcakes from them I had those a couple years back and they’re still good to this day

Cannot share enough great things about Potter's! A+ service/staff and their cakes are magnificent, ( I've purchased at least 3 for special occasions, and will buy more in the future) and very reasonably priced. They are always super busy, and that shows how good they really are.

Great food and friendly people. The place was busy when we went which makes sense with the quality food they make. Im from out of state or would go again.

If you haven't made the stop or still debating- stop hesitating. Theres not enough stars available for this place. The owners are amazing and make EVERYTHING from scratch. You can feel the love in the food...worth the time and the money. 10 out of 10!!!

Wow. Just WOW. The sausage, egg and cheese bagel was second to none. Thank goodness this place isn’t on my daily commute; I’d need another job to cover this habit.

What a wonderful pleasant spot! I read through all of the negative reviews and honestly don't trust them, they're all being extremely dramatic. This is a wonderful bakery/cafe with wonderful staff. I love taking people here when I have the chance!
