Pentwater River Access Ramp

If you are in town but didn't bring your kayak or canoe, Pentwater Outfitters highly recommended by us! The owner is very helpful and knowledgeable with the area.

We stopped and put our kayaks in and paddled upstream. The current is really quite slow and lazy. We have no trouble paddling up a good mile and a half. We ran out of time so we drifted back and it took just about as long to get back. Highly recommend this spot for kayaking and was terrific. The water is clear. The bottom looks rather sandy and there are very few if any obstructions. We like to see critters and wildlife but unfortunately nothing was out on this paddle. But the area looks like it should have a lot of wildlife around at times.

It was a great point to set out on the river to kayak, pretty calm waters, and great scenery!

We launch our kayaks here. Easy to access. This is a nice launch.

Easy to find; great place to put in; even a port-a-potty. Overall very pleasant. On our return, however, we smelled fish stench. People - please clean your fish elsewhere.
