Village Cafe and Pub

Perfect spot to grab a bite. Nice views of the lake, especially from the deck seating. The food was excellent - had the Whitefish Dip, the Salmon Basket, and Loaded Tots. The service was an A+.

Backyard bbq was delicious and quick. Bbq beans were unique and yummy. Loved the outdoor space and music

Very fun outdoor bar with music and atmosphere. We even had fun under the roof during the pouring rain storm. Other patrons were friendly and would intermingle. However, you could remain in your own group if you wanted.

Pricey but great quality of food. Ate outside as staff shortage couldn't accommodate inside customers. We has a stroller so we opted to walk around bldg. to tables. Great menu, friendly staff. Barbequed food offered separately set up to side. Drinks are ordered at bar & paid for there. Food is ordered there and you carry your own meal to table I clear it. Serving staff takes drink orders & checks on food. We knew the server! We knew the entertaining singer. Great time! The chicken cranberry wrap was good also perch and waffle fries. Yum.

Really fun set up. There's a beautiful Deck with a view to eat on. Or you can walk downstairs and they have it set up like a big backyard BBQ, with a full bar. I went during a slow time, so food was limited. They did however have someone selling BBQ brisket, pulled pork, beans ECT. That was all really delicious 🙂 Even though I didn't buy anything from the actual restaurant, only the BBQ stand, the restaurant still gave us free bottled water. I will definitely be going back.

This review is for Backyard BBQ run by father and son Greg and Keith. The food was AWESOME and a GREAT VALUE for the money! Both Greg and Keith were very nice and rightfully proud of the food they prepare. A MUST STOP when you are in Pentwater! It will be our 1st stop when we go back. Get there early before they run out of your favorites! 😊

This restaurant is very nice! I like their ceaser salad, the chicken on it is very good, and their ceaser dressing was good too. The perch baskets were good too, I don't really like fish too much, but I think they were good! They say that they are currently under staffed, but they are managing very well! We never had a problem with us needing a waiter and no one was there.

In this time when no one wants to work, it was a great experience. Located in downtown Pentwater on the Lake side. They have plenty of outdoor seating and even a garden seating area with tables with umbrellas, a bar, and a stage for entertainment.
We did have to go and place our orders and pay inside (again due to can't get people to work) but the staff brought the food to us. The food was delish, the staff were friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere was relaxing. Check it out when your in that area!

We asked our server, Brady, what his favorites were and he DEFINITELY steered us in the right direction. I had the perch basket (GREAT) and my wife had the Michigan cherry chicken salad wrap. My bloody Mary was nice and spicy. Great service, great food, great drinks!

We did a pick up for lunch (5 orders and and 2 apps) and everything was hot and fresh! We tried the beer battered asparagus, both southwestern and cherry chicken wraps, the chicken tenders and the wings. We got onion rings too. Everythjng was superb. Dont skip the fried asparagus! And they have awesome ranch. Not that bottle stuff! We also got a couple of cold bottle beers to go! Perfect!!

First stop in Pentwater for dinner. They have expertly navigated the post pandemic crisis with the brilliant business model of ordering with a paper menu, customer places the order and the friendly waitstaff deliver your delicious hot food! Easy and efficient!

We arrived and had to wait 30 minutes but they had tables open. (Approx 15 tables) They said kitchen was behind. We waited as we wanted to listen to Michael Snell who was the entertainment. We got table and thought we would have a long wait for food. We were pleasantly surprised. Food was quick and very good the waitress Riely was very attentive. A very nice evening.

Perfect location, great service. Food was fresh and delicious. Live music from local performers was a nice treat. Even the servers joined in the singing. They make you feel like family.

We purchased our meal at the front door and ate in the small park near the marina. The staff were gracious and food was delicious. We were able to hear fun music from both Village Cafe and Gull Landing. I'll return to Village Cafe any time we're in the area!

I went here strictly for desert after a long day touring the coast of Lake Michigan. They had a live musician who played guitar and sang as I ate a lovely piece of cheesecake. He played my girlfriend's and I favorite song and it couldn't have been any better.

Food is over priced for what it is. But it's decent. The stars here are for Riley, quite possibly the best server ever. I don't know her but my guess is she'll be a big deal somewhere someday. Great server!!!!

Tuesday night comedy night! Fun times! Starts at 8pm, $12 per person

Great food and service. The live music was perfect, just a single female musician with her guitar, not distracting but entertaining and added to the atmosphere and experience. A must go to stop in the Village of Pentwater for everyone
