This is a great shop. Everyone is welcoming, they are very transparent with their work, thorough with their work, and call about anything unexpected as well as with estimates. They are one of the few shops that do work on Audi’s and I’m sure other foreign vehicles. They treat your car like one of their own. I almost hate to recommend them as to not make it difficult to get my car in the shop when I need to haha. But seriously, highly recommend

Wonderful place to go. They were very professional. Gave me a full brake down of the repairs before starting the work and the text message after with pictures was amazing firs time if had that anywhere. Would go back again and will tell friends.

I felt good about service for my mini cooper as Jerry said he took care of his daughter’s mini. They accommodated us in dropping the car off on our way to a distant concert and picking it up on our way home when they were closed. Very friendly trustworthy people.

We were camping in the UP, 8hr from home and our alternator went out. Our battery died and Jerry was THE ONLY one to hold an emergency spot for us in a 20mile radius of Marquette that same day (everywhere else wouldn't help us for over a week). He ordered the part and the mechanic Marshall got us in and out in no time and did thorough testing. Thanks to them we made it home and it was a great price!

Temperature gauge started showing overheating - I pulled aside and checked it out. Coolant was empty. Filled it up and then noticed the dripping from underneath and pooling on the ground.

Well dang, im on vacation 1500 miles from home in the frickin middle of nowhere (it seemed) with kids and dog. I called everyone around and in the nearby bigger towns and nobody had same day availability to diagnose the issue, let enough fix it.

These guys fit me and did great work!!! At a fair price. Was a cracked radiator. They replaced it with a new one.

Jerry and Marshall were delightful with a great attitude. Marshall did great work. Got me back on the road 4 hours later.

Went in for an oil change and a front brake inspection. They notified me I needed a new front rotor and pads and they needed to free up the caliper. Was done in a very timely manner, very happy with their work. It's nice having someone close by that I can trust.

Everyone was super helpful and made sure my car was in the best shape it could be before I got back on the road again!! When getting an inspection done they take pictures and text them straight to your phone so you have reference photos!! Will definitely be who I take my car to for any problem big or small!!

The folks at Southside Automotive are top-notch! They are friendly, they do great work, and they are in the ball park for pricing. I've been taking my 2018 Silverado there since I bought it new and I've never been disappointed with their work.

I appreciate Jerry and his team. I found myself driving into town with a flashing service engine soon light. They were able to squeeze me in and get me on with my trip. I appreciate the open and honest communication through the diagnostic stage, and coming up with a solution and repair that worked to get me back on the road. Most of all I appreciate their kindness on what was a difficult day. Thank you for your empathy, honesty and integrity in diagnosing and repairing my truck.

Southside Automotive is great. I had a bad alternator on my Jeep. Called around - nobody could schedule service sooner than 2 weeks. Wally at Southside had me in the next day and my Jeep back in 2 business days. I could not be happier with their customer service.

When my daughters power steering was still not working properly Jerry got her right in. They did a full inspection of her car and found that there was a line leak, which we suspected. He fixed her car the same day. He even reached out a few days later to make sure everything was ok and that we were happy with his service. I would recommend going here over any other place. Its hard to find good service in the U.P. but we found it here.

Being a single woman, going to the mechanic can be a nightmare. I was raised helping my dad work on cars so I know enough to not get swindled, but most shops will assume I’m ignorant and/or talk down to me.

I had issues with my clutch summer 2021 and was calling shops to get quotes for a clutch replacement. I called southside at the recommendation of a friend and Jerry insisted I bring it in for them to look at, properly diagnose it, and give me a quote - for free. I begrudgingly and reluctantly agreed, but boy was I glad I did. They easily spent an hour looking over everything and found the cause for my clutch issues (it wasn’t the clutch) and saved me well over $1k. And as promised, didn’t charge me at all.

Since then, I bring my car (02 Honda Civic) here for my routine oil changes and maintenance. They do routine inspections and let me know what sorts of maintenance needs to be done and are honest about if it can wait, and how long it can probably wait for. I’ve watched Jerry explain the mechanics of vehicles and their issues to other female customers with an amazing amount of grace and patience and, again, no sort of talking down to them. I have referred several of my own friends here and will continue to bring my vehicle here for as long as I have one and live in the area.

Always have had a great experience with Jerry at Southside. I’ve been here to get repairs done on my 2013 Subaru Forester 3 or 4 times now in the last few years. Very communicative and fast service. 👍
