My stay at the Harraseeket Inn was truly one of the most charming and beautiful experiences I've ever had. From the moment I entered, I was welcomed by a friendly receptionist and the cozy ambiance of a beautiful fireplace, which immediately set a warm and inviting tone.

One of the highlights of the hotel is the grand piano on the first floor, where guests can either play or simply enjoy the lovely music that fills the space. The hotel also offers a delightful afternoon tea with delicious treats—a perfect way to unwind after a day of exploring.

The variety of amenities available for relaxation is impressive. Whether it’s playing board games, a game of chess, using the computer, or simply lounging in the comfortable armchairs, there's something for everyone. The outdoor area at the back of the hotel is a wonderful place to take a peaceful walk, enjoy the beautiful flowers, and listen to the birds. The fire pit at the front of the hotel is a lovely spot for families with children to gather and enjoy s’mores by the fireplace.

I was also provided with a complimentary bicycle to explore the area, which was a wonderful touch—I only wish I had more time to take advantage of this opportunity! The spacious rooms were incredibly comfortable, and the hotel also features a warm swimming pool and a small gym, adding to the overall appeal.

In summary, my experience at the Harasiket Inn Hotel was exceptional. I would absolutely love to return and spend more time enjoying everything this wonderful place has to offer.

Came for dinner (HORRIBLE)...but that's the Broad Arrow Tavern. We were meeting friends and had a little wait for them to arrive. We took a seat in the fireplace sitting room, where this super young lady was setting up for "movie night." My friend wanted a cup of tea. The young lady was so accommodating and helpful. She really made the wait a fun time. Staff like this young lady should be praised. She understands guest service. Excellent! We did not stay in a room, so I could not comment there.

I absolutely love the Harraseeket Inn in Freeport, Maine. It was my first trip to Maine and we chose to have our wedding there. The Inn made all of our planning so simple and easy! Our stay there was wonderful! The staff at the Harraseeket were so helpful and nice. The food at our event and at the Tavern were wonderful. The flowers at our event were beyond our expectations! We are so happy that we chose the Harraseeket!

What a great location, right on Main Street. You can walk to all the outlets and restaurants. They have a great lounge area where afternoon tea is served. Very accommodating staff from the moment you check in.

We stayed here while visiting the Freeport area. The Inn is very well maintained. The common areas are welcoming - decorated with fresh flowers and seasonal decorations. The high tea in the drawing room is a nice bonus. The rooms are comfortable and clean. But what really makes this Inn are the employees- they are all very polite and helpful. A big shout out to James who ran the movie night and Michael the chef at breakfast. One thing is for sure, we will be back

Went there for a bridal shower. A little confusing to figure out where to park, but that was minor. The food for the shower was superb and the waitresses were very attentive to all of us ladies. We did not stay at the hotel.

We wanted to get away for the night and we were able to book a same night reservation in a lovely deluxe suite with a cozy fireplace and the Jacuzzi tub was a sweet treat. We had dinner at the tavern inside where the staff was incredibly sweet and so accommodating of our young child. 10/10 will come back
We do hope next time we can take a dip in the pool too!

My sister and I stayed at The Harraseeket last weekend, checking in on Friday and out on Sunday. We love the atmosphere of the Inn very much. We did think that the room was a little "tired" and needed a refresh. But it was very clean and the bedding was wonderful. The large pots at the entrance were in desperate need of water, and the landscaping was overgrown in the front. Last year it was perfectly groomed.
We ate two breakfasts, lunch one day and two dinners and had tea service twice. The food in the tavern was delicious. The lobster stew, the salmon, chowder, the Broad Arrow Salad were exceptional. The menu may be limited but it is excellent in quality. Our wait staff was very attentive and Billy was our waiter one evening and was awesome...Looking forward to next time.

Staying at this Inn is a really cool experience. I very much enjoyed it and recommend it. Great and hearty breakfasts and evening drinks & dinner in the restaurant are pitch perfect. The constant fire in the drawing room is cozy and attractive. The staff is friendly and helpful.
My advice to the owners is to modernize this place before it's just too outdated. Rip up the carpets and replace with hard wood floors and replace much of the furniture. Keep things open later at night. 9 pm is too early to shut down. Sell more practical things in the gift shop, have a snack bar, and better utilize the amazing outdoor space. Live music and wine tasting around the fire pit would be epic.

I've visited this location multiple times as a getaway of sorts and it's a wonderful excursion. It's a beautiful location with a lot of history and it's situated right next to the local shopping malls and the L.L. Bean flagship store. The breakfast here is absolutely delightful and the Tavern has delicious local fare! There's a spacious heated pool, a small fitness center, and the rooms have different amenities like fireplaces and jacuzzi tubs.

If you're looking for a taste of true Maine spirit, this is the place to stay!

During our travels to Maine, we have been to Freeport many times, but always just passing through. A few days ago, we decided to have an overnight stop at the Harraseeket Inn, what a revelation. Beautiful, ancient structure, cared for by true enthusiasts of the genre. An entrance with a wonderful fireplace and a room reserved for relaxation with a good tea with another wonderful fireplace. Our room was a bit small, but very well cared for in detail and a nice large bathroom, a very nice detail to find bathrobes and a very comfortable bed, well-stocked breakfast and well-kept room. The following morning we continued our journey, but on the way back we decided to stay another night at Harraseeket Inn, another wonderful surprise! The room we booked was wonderful, really very large, with a real American canopy bed, a real King Size, where sleeping takes you on clouds, but wonderful in the room to have a real wood fireplace, which of course we lit to hear the scent of fire, for true lovers of romantic atmosphere, quality sheets and fresh scent, white and very soft bathroom linen. Given this, we decided to extend our stay, but given the large presence of people, we had to request the extension of the overnight stays every day, we stayed 7 days, but this was also thanks to the fantastic reception staff. The names that I mostly got to know are Nikki and Kassandra, but all the other girls were really great too and helped us stay so we tried other rooms 😊. The breakfast is very well stocked, the only tiny drawback is that perhaps, bearing in mind many groups, they have to organize the time slots, but in my opinion, perhaps those on holiday should be allowed to have the opportunity to be able to enjoy breakfast without constraints, so maybe you can stay a little longer in those wonderful beds, but that's okay. That said, the last day before our departure, we decided to make another reservation, in December, nothing more beautiful than a room with a fireplace, to experience the magic of Christmas, perhaps with the snow outside . Thank you all!

My husband and I currently live in New York, but decided to Baptize our daughter in Harpswell, ME. Just the thought of coordinating an event from a distance gave me anxiety. After reaching out to dozens of restaurants/catering halls in Portland with no response, I came across The Harraseeket Inn in Freeport.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am that I found this venue! The sales team at The Harraseeket was incredible! Personally, I worked with Mara. She was so responsive, and helpful. The entire planning process could not have been easier!

The room was set up beautifully, and the tables even had small centerpiece arrangements on them. The support staff were all so incredibly kind, the food was delicious, and the price point was very reasonable.

My only regret is not finding this place sooner!! 10/10 recommend. I know, with certainty, that we will host future events with Mara and The Harraseeket Inn. We are sending a huge thank you to everyone at The Harraseeket for helping to create such a beautiful day for our daughter.

This is a beautiful Inn and the food is fresh farm to table food. The dinner was amazing. The staff was amazing. So amazing my husband wants to come back just for the food. They took two weary travelers from a long night on Amtrak and let us check in early so we can shower and rest to enjoy the rest of the day. I was grateful for that. We did enjoy walking about and the outlets. We enjoyed that everything was walking distance to and from the Train Station. I would enjoy to comeback possibly making it a yearly vacation getaway.

We only stayed for one night while traveling along the coast, but we absolutely loved it! Breakfast was great, staff was very friendly and accommodating. The inn is so cozy, I wish we stayed for longer. We tried the tavern for dinner and everything we had was delicious. I highly recommend staying here!

Words can't describe what an incredible experience it was to stay here, but I'll try. From the beautiful gas fire places most of the entertaining spaces to the indoor salt water pool, this Inn is perfect. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Don't miss afternoon tea! The food at the tavern was delicious, definitely recommend a dinner there. Our room was cozy and clean, the chocolates left for us were a nice little treat to end the night with. If ever given the chance I would jump at the opportunity to stay here again.

Likes · Charming country-style hotel/inn. Very friendly staff! The hotel doesn't provide water bottles in the rooms, but when I asked for them, they let me take the water from their gift shop for free. We forgot our phone charger when we checked out, but I called 2 days after and they arranged for the charger to get mailed to my home address at no charge. There's a pool at the hotel which closes at 10 pm (which is nice!). My kids enjoyed it very much. It's nice that they provide bathrobes. Convenient parking behind the building, accessible hallways.

Dislikes · Breakfast is buffet style, it's ok. Would prefer to have more options, like cheese and sausage. You have to make a reservation for a certain time. But overall I'm glad breakfast was included. Also, wish the hotel had some kind of entertainment, like a pool table or board games. Outdated elevators and some odd smell in the hallway adjacent to the tavern (probably from the kitchen).

We have stayed at the Inn for a few weeks this month . Quiet , clean rooms and an outstanding staff is what you will find here . Great breakfast and afternoon tea. Having a full service restaurant on site is wonderful. The Haraseeket Inn is located just close enough to all Freeport has to offer . We can’t say enough about the friendly and accommodating staff , especially the front desk.

We stayed here as a last minute book, generally I don’t stay at Inns as I've ALWAYS imagined them being dingy and drab. I can tell you 100% that this place is exactly the opposite. It looks quite small from the street but rest assured that its MASSIVE inside. The front of the inn, facing the road, was welcoming and has a quaint little look to it. As soon as we walked inside I was amazed at how chill the atmosphere was, the modern but antique feel of the place really set the mood. They have an afternoon tea time, which I thought was absolutely amazing as I love a good cup of tea! The staff was amazingly friendly and welcoming, they assured us that they could meet almost any accommodations, and they did! We ate at the tavern there and the food was absolutely as good as another guest had suggested to us. The cooks are visible from where we sat and it was pretty cool to watch them cooking right there in front of us. I will tell you that it is HANDS DOWN the BEST fried haddock I've had so far in Maine, highly recommend eating there. When we retired to our room we relaxed in the double whirlpool tub and fit comfortably (my fiance is 6'5 and I am 5'3). The rooms have a really nice homey feel to them, they arent drab, but they aren't "fake" if you will. This Inn is definitely a must if you're staying in the area, you will not be disappointed! Oh and the breakfast was amazing as well! The stuffed French toast was to die for!

Anniversaries are a big deal for my husband and I and decided to spend our 40th at the Harraseeket Inn. Great decision! The level of customer service was outstanding. From the minute we checked in until the time we left we never encountered an employee without a smile. We had all our meals on-site, enjoyed afternoon tea and morning brunch. All our meals were exceptional, not rushed and expertly served. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
