Davis Park at Founders Landing

Love this place. I walk the path here daily.

I never knew this existed. My friend told me about it and took me to see it. It was a beautiful day to take photos so I took some.

Went to see the city's Christmas tree! It looks beautiful!

The great place ever to have local entertainment, Friday Night Flix in the summertime and just relaxing to twine in.

Beautiful place to visit. Also, bring a skateboard!

OMG soo many memories of the Rockford Dam.. spent more nights than I wanted to back then sitting on the bank directly in front of the dam with my father God rest his soul fishing well he was fishing I was more like a young spoiled brat preteen complaining about how I just wanted to go home or go skating it was so boring my dad would say 10 more minutes sis and if I don't get a bite we'll go.. Once I grew into an adult and got married I actually loved fishing and there was many nights I spent before my father passed on that same bank in the same exact spot he'd always fished with my husband and my oldest kids.. that's where my dad got his biggest catfish ever 25lbs. He was so proud of that fish I remember when he caught it it was longer than I was talk at that time.. but I beat my dad's record with a 28 pounder and boy I rubbed that in his and my husband's face but I was only Queen for a Day not even 24 hours later my husband took the throne with a 42 pounder I'll never forget my dad's enjoyment and the look on his face.. My father and I always laughed and joked with each other.. he looked at me and said well Sis how does it feel you weren't even Queen for a Day.. I looked at him and laughed and said well you're my dad but my husband here I call him DADDY..That fishing daddy

It was another amazing year of Celebration from the parade to those Amazing fireworks great job to the heads of the 4th of July Committee Ted and Tom and to All the volunteers we salute each of you with a BIG thank you

OMG I was not expecting that people would keep their children in line whilst the movie was playing. Thanks to all of you who made the whole experience exciting and fun. We need more movies. I hope they increase the amount of films shown there be awesome!

Miss the skateboard ramp the sidewalks needs too be redone and it’s stupid of the new owner of that building blocking the safest way to go with a fence Something needs to be done about that

Movies in the park are the best! All we need is our favorite movie treats and our blankets. Lots of fun and laughter! A different side of Rockford that others need to see. Can't wait til next summer!

We had a great time hosting The Labor day Car Show this passed Monday.
It was the only event going on during Labor day in Rockford. Parade and picnic canceled.

3/13/21 Was a sunny Saturday to go check out the river at the Fordham dam. I didn't know that there is a bike path across the bridge now! Several people fishing from the bridge and a couple from the rocks. Need to buy my license and get back to fishing again.

Very cool place to visit if you're familiar with the town or looking to find some tourist attractions.

Rockford has really improved on fixing up older buildings and putting them to very, very good use... I'm proud of my hometown.

Was in a car show during the holiday. Right on the river. Beautiful day. Great surroundings

It is always a pleasure going to a place that once was abandoned and find pleasure in just a way the whole park is arranged

Great Park! Especially if you love concerts and free movie watching during the Summer.

Best days to go are the days that they have movies, big screen, great sound, they have a confection stand with snowcones, drinks, and popcorn, would recommend

Awesome open area park next to the river! Great events often happening here.
