My wife had several pieces of jewelry that needed repairs and was looking for a reliable jeweler. An acquaintance to the gym recommended J Kamin Jewelers. the owner was friendly, helpful patient and knowledgeable. Pricing was reasonable, and the work was well done. She also purchase a pendant in the process. Will defiantly be doing business with J Kamin Jewelers again.

I had the pleasure of dealing with Mr. Kamin when I decided to sell some estate jewelry. He demonstrated both knowledge and fairness when I dealt with him. I definitely will return to his business.

We had a very pleasant experience when dealing with Mr. Kamin. He is very knowledgeable in his field and beyond helpful! We selected a new solitaire diamond stone for my 40 year old wedding ring. It’s a dazzling beauty and just the right size for the setting and budget. We also had other rings sized and watches repaired. All work was completed within a week. Excellent service, highly recommend this jeweler!

I was so happy to find this local, trustworthy, and friendly jeweler! When I walked into J. Kamin, I was greeted promptly and we started to discuss what I was looking for in an updated wedding ring set. Jay was able to show me options of how to use my existing stones. I selected a band, and he helped design a ring to complement perfectly. The turnaround time was about 4 weeks for a custom design, and sizing of a band. They kept me apprised of the status and were so helpful and kind during the entire process. I am so happy with the final outcome and felt this was the first jeweler that really understood what I wanted and came through with the perfect ring for me!

I first found this place last summer and have had several watch batteries replaced since then. Each time I have found the service to be professional and reasonably priced. My watches were ready when promised and in the same condition as when I dropped them off. Thank you for the consistently great service.

I was very pleased with this business. Friendly and very helpful. I brought two watches in to this jewelry store to get the batteries replaced. He noticed my wedding ring ( white Gold) was missing some sprockets holding my diamond in. I left my rings there. I picked them up today ( a week 1/2 later) He did a awesome job, replaced the missing sprockets. The rings look brand new and all polished. very reasonable priced - we’ve brought other watches here to fix bands and batteries also. highly recommend them.

Everyone working at J. Kamin’s are very nice professionals, (Jay hires only the best). I have purchased several pieces for myself and for gifts, and have never been disappointed. I’ve looked at many beautiful items and even with my limited knowledge of fine jewelry, everything seems to be priced fairly.

You never feel rushed and Jay and his staff always find the time to be helpful and to converse with you. Today, for example, I brought in a Garmin Vivofit that needed a battery. Jay didn’t have the battery, but his assistant looked online and found the batteries at Amazon(where else?). I will order them and Jay will install them, when they are delivered. The only problem, I can see, with shopping at J. Kamin’s, is you will find yourself wanting one of each of the pieces in his showcases. Oh, I almost forgot, I trusted Jay with the diamond from my engagement ring, which he reset in a beautiful pendant that was his original design. The finished piece turned out quite lovely. I would highly recommend this shop for everything from battery replacements to rings for that very special day. As an added bonus, my husband even enjoys stopping in once in a while just to say, “howdy!” However, he wishes I wasn’t with him (for obvious reasons).

Went looking for a ring that matches my husbands and was amazed at how welcoming this little shop was. We were immediately greeted and when told what we were looking for were helped like any other customer even though our budget wasn't very large. Jay the owner helped us out with what he had and what could and couldn't be sized, his other (female) associate was also very nice and helpful. I’ve had two great experiences with JKamin Jewelers. The first time I took in two watches to be repaired and needed to be sent away. They were back in less than a week. The second time he was very patient as he helped me pick out a gold necklace from his catalog. He ordered the necklace based on my description, and in came in to be exactly what I wanted. The necklace was also received in only a few days. Jay went out of his way for me both times, so I will be back, and most definitely recommend him to you.

My husband of 50 years recently passed away and I felt comfort in wearing his wedding ring on a chain. I had several other pieces of jewelry he had given me over the years and took them with me when I visited J. Kamin Jewelers. Jay and his staff made me feel so comfortable as he worked to use my "memory pieces" in the design. As he listened to me speak about my husband and our life together he slowly began to sketch a design and explained the process of making a custom piece. Jay kept me updated on the status of my piece and delivered it quickly and within my budget. I would highly recommend Jay for all your jewelry needs.

I purchased a14k yellow gold Cathedral style ring as well as a loose 2.43 ct round brilliant Natural Diamond that J*Kamin had set in the Cathedral style ring. Also, I purchased a 14k yellow gold Benchmark Super Light Comfort Fit 7 mm band as well. I waited two weeks for my rings to come back to me. When J*Kamin called me I was there in a flash, I was ecstatic! It was everything I knew it would be! I put my trust in J*Kamin Jewelers! I have for over 40 years! He is the best in the Rockford area hands down. Very trustworthy. J*Kamin knows his business. Him and his staff are very friendly and knowledgeable. The entire staff at J Kamin was so welcoming and kind to my fiancé who had spent an entire day looking at different jewelers for my engagement ring. He told me that several other jewelers in Rockford were dismissive and rude because his budget was not worth their time. J Kamin were attentive, kind, and helped him find my perfect ring. They worked with his budget and gave him an amazing deal on my ring. He left other stores feeling discouraged and hurt, and I am extremely thankful to J Kamin for making him feel confident and for giving me my beautiful engagement ring. I had a really wonderful experience with J. Kamin! I inherited some jewelry and wasn't sure what was real and what was costume jewelry. The owner Jay went through it all and let me know what he could see. The store was very clean and nicely lit! Very nice owner and person behind the main counter. I will be returning for some repair work and he mentioned helping me design a new piece out of some of the broken ones I have.

Went to J Kamin Jeweler today to get my watch sized that my boyfriend bought for me. The staff was very friendly and were able to size my watch to fit my wrist perfectly. They even gave me some licorice which was awesome because that is my favorite candy. Very personable, genuine, kind people. Will certainly be coming back for any of my fine jewelry needs. I first went to J Kamin Jewelers just to get my watch clasp repaired. From the moment I walked in, they were just wonderful; So pleasant and professional! I bought a beautiful estate diamond ring for a great price and knew I’d be back. For our wedding anniversary, my husband wanted to get me something special. I walked in to J Kamin again, not really knowing what I wanted. They made a suggestion and OH, what a suggestion it was! I got a beautiful, custom made ring that is truly a one of a kind! I am very beyond pleased with the stone, the design, the craftsmanship, and especially the end result! I highly recommend visiting J Kamin for ALL your jewelry needs! J Kamin is a local independent jeweler that really cares, and knows you by name, not some big ‘chain’ jeweler where you are just a nameless customer. Wish I could upload a picture!

I had visited 5 different jewelers when looking for an engagement ring. I didn't have much luck until I went to J Kamin. I found a picture online of a ring I wanted to replicate and brought it in to Jay. I had a really short timeline, but he was able to get it custom built and in my hands within a week. She loved the ring and we're very happy with the purchase. Ever since my initial visit, Jay has greeted me by name as I come into the store. That kind of service and caring really stands out to me.

We were impressed with their thoroughness and the time they spent looking over the items we brought in to sell. They were very kind and patient and we received a fair price. We will be returning to have a custom piece of jewelry made in the future. Happy to support a local business that has been in existence for so many years.

I left another jewelry store disappointed, I decided to stop in at J Kamin and I’m glad I did. They had exactly what I wanted. It was a custom piece. Jay completed it before his projected date. It is beautiful!!! I have since taken things in for repair or refurbished. I highly recommend going in for all jewelry needs!!!

I went there with a watch that was handed down within my family due to the need for a new crystal face. The owner was there to meet me when I arrived at the store. He was able to order what I needed for a good price. He called a few days later to update me and I learned that the crown would also have to be replaced. He was able to find an original crown and a mineral crystal face.

Overall it was a great experience and this business knows what they’re doing. My watch is an Omega sea master from the 60s.

I needed three rings sized up, and most of the jewelers I called would not size silver, or didn't do rhodium plating. Mr. Kamin was able to size all three and rhodium plate one - they all look brand new and fit perfectly! Oh, and the pricing was more than reasonable, especially considering two of the ring were gold! I was very pleased with the quality of service and friendly atmosphere.
