Oldest bar in Rockford, dating from the late 1800's. This is the place where Cheap Trick first started playing and launched their career. Very down to earth working class place with a friendly atmosphere. We always visit this bar when we're in town.

Mary's Bar has Great Music, including Pistol Pete, Bun E. Carlos, Open mic nt on Tuesdays, etc! 🎶 Tons of Talent comes thru there. They have pool, darts & slot machines...however. The biggest draw is the staff & customers. It's a place where U can b comfortable, laugh & B Yourself. It's a very diverse group of Ppl who are there because they WANNA b THERE. The regulars are very Friendly & supportive. I strongly suggest hangin out there 2-3 tmes!

Amazing beer selection. Awesome bartenders. Also there were so many good-looking girls. I won at least $500 on each gambling machine. I scored some good beer and the bathrooms were clean...

The best place to see live music in Rockford. It's very small and intimate. Staff is friendly. Could use a remodel to update the space but it's comfortable and the drink prices are good.

The BEST live music venue in Rockford. Period. Cheap drinks and good company. Jack and Jay make sure that the talent is worth seeing and provide local musicians with many opportunities to showcase their talent. Bands are always paid fairly. Steve does a great job with the live sound! Open stage is on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Totally worth a visit!

Mary's is legendary! The oldest bar in Rockford. Great live music, cheap drink prices, and a friendly crowd. Open Stage twice a week, and great bands in the weekends. Don't take my word for it, try it out for yourself.

Hands down the most entertaining bar in town! Best live music and the most diverse acts!! Shady elements abound but if you aren't involved you needn't worry. Tons of friendly regulars..... become one!

Great place for live music. You might even meet a local music legend like Michael Banks! The food is also good and you can buy a Mary's Place t-shirt to add to your collection. THIS PLACE ROCKS.

Cheap drinks and the band was amazing. This place has a small town music scene vibe. Everyone was really nice and drinks are cheap.

The best place in Rockford to catch great live music or just grab a drink. Just saw The Henhouse Prowlers from Chicago and they were amazing. They do an open stage on Tuesday and Thursday nights, that bring out some of the best musicians in town. This little bar is really underappreciated. They bring some amazing music to Rockford. Drink prices are very reasonable and the service is friendly. Just an overall fun place, very diverse.

If you want to walk into a bar and feel like you're at home then come here. Mary's has the best bartenders, and a great floor for dancing to the live music. There just isn't anywhere better.
