Awesome and friendly staff!

I tried them out due to the fact that I drive right by then all the time. The restaurant is very visible from the street. Check out the picture of the big sign.

The New York strip steaks were awesome . We enjoyed the great pack job they did for our take out food. I'm going back soon for their pizzas 🍕 because they also look great.

I ordered delivery for a school and had a great experience from ordering to eating the hot,delicious pizza with my students. The person taking my order helped me determine the perfect amount and when I had to call the morning of to change the delivery time, the person was kind and able to help make the change. When the food arrived, it was hot and delicious! A+.

We moved about 8 years ago and missed John's. Stopped by for a pizza. We could have chosen anyplace in Rockford, Galena or Des Moines. We both thought of John's. We were not disappointed. It was like coming home. Love this place.

Stopped in over lunch hour, we were able to order the pizza ahead of time and it was ready when we got there. That was really convenient for a short lunch break.

Good food, friendly staff, easy parking, and a nice cozy atmosphere inside.

I had a great time at this restaurant. Rachel was my waitress and she rock! She was attentive and friendly. All the staff was very nice from the moment I walked in the door. The atmosphere was very nice also clean and attractively arranged. My food, it was okay. Next time I will order something different. But everyone else at the table enjoyed their foods and didn't have any complaints. My daughter had the pizza bread appetizer and she loved it! A couple other people had pizza and Italian beefs. Prices were pretty good too. Everyone enjoyed it. I give this place a big thumbs up.

If you're looking for an atmosphere that gives Sunday family dinner and staff that gives Long time friends and beloved distant relatives after a long time, then John's is the place to be. Food is a bit on the $$ side but it's compensated with outstanding flavors and incredible freshness. Pizza... 1000/10 literally one of the best things on the menu. The lively staff only adds to the deliciousness. The waitresses are polite and very knowledgeable and give great recommendations for new customers. They even accommodate vegan, GF, and Lactose intolerant customers if they have alternative diets or allergies. you're looking to wow a date, take them to John's and they will not be disappointed. Nicole was our waitress and she was one of the friendliest people I've met!

First time here after hearing nothing but good things. Pizza was great, cannoli with ricotta perfect, delicious tiramisu, and the special tonight of grilled calamari steak was cooked amazing. Melted in your mouth. Old fashioneds were made well, too. Will be back again. Thanks, John.

You make the best food that ever happened in my entire life! I wanted delivery but couldn't wait and drove there. I do not regret and your cooks are a blessing on the world. Im crying because it's so good!

Service was excellent. Steak was absolutely delicious along with salad, spaghetti, and bread. Enjoy going there whenever possible.

1st time to John's tonight 3/24/24 had the lasagna and manicotti and 2 meatballs. Oh and toasted ravioli delicious!!!!!
Also pit her is Sangria 28$ good price.... Food was amazing JoJean super nice!!!! Will be back in the near future....

Nadia and staff are phenomenal. Delicious and fresh food, and they even have plenty of vegan options! This is by far the best Italian food in Rockford!

It has been years since we eat at John's. We ordered pizza and lasagna, and both were delicious. The waitress was also very sweet and kind.

Went for first time on a positive referral from a friend. For the location, I was quite honestly blown away. Wings were great. Pizza was fantastic.

Absolutely amazing in every bite the fries and crispy and perfectly cooked and the chicken is melts in your mouth tender a absolutely recommend this place to all people even the most picky eaters the pizza is perfectly seasoned and the drinks were fantastic especially the kitty cocktails the staff were extremely friendly and helped you pick your meal. Eat here now it is amazing

Been going here for decades, the nicest people you'll ever meet. Unlike olive garden they really do treat you like family. The food is always amazing.

We used Google to create our reservation, and when we arrived, a table was already setup, and a Reserved sign was in place...nice touch. The hostess greeted us warmly, and took us to the table right away, no delay at all.
The server's name was Rachel, and she is excellent! (Ask for her as your server). Very friendly, no fake attitude, etc. She greeted us, chatted a few moments, and took our order. During this time, she asked what we like, offered recommendations, and was very polite and respectful. Our appetizers were tasty and hot (not just warm). When the main entrees arrived, presentation, quality, and taste were excellent! The food is great. Dessert was tiramisu, and I highly recommend it! Cost of the meal was below the price we expected, since the food quality was so good. Overall, this is a very quiet and enjoyable place for dinner. We recommend John's 100%.

Never knew this place existed. But I'm glad I found it, had the meat lovers pizza, it was so good. Can't wait to try it more in the future, the Rockford food scene is so underrated.

Fantastic food!! The very best pizza and Italian beef, served by friendly, attentive staff. Prices were on par with the quality of the food and not overpriced. I highly recommend you try John's!!
