Sweet Ellie's: Café & Ice Cream

I have been to many ice cream shops around the country and this is diffently one if my favorites places for ice cream. The two girls working on Saturday were very friendly and helpful when choosing the perfect one to hit the spot as I was traveling through. I initially heard about this place from Skip's were I ate lunch at and had to come see the hype. They were correct it is a must stop while in town.
I was kinda surprised to see it is in a former small bank with outside drive up covered teller shoots but it works if it 🌧 rains with picnic tables out front.
As I walk in the front doors I could see the bright colors whether it is food or decor that lightens things up. The expresso machine for the coffee conausor or the food options which non of them were gluten free for my allergy.🤔
I did find a ice Sea turtle that was so delicious. I made it a shake to go.
The girls were very helpful in the area to explore next time I come through too.
From what I understand the owners are from up North came for vacation and sold everything to move there they loved it so much. Ellie is one the kids the business is named after. Pretty neat and great history.
I would diffently recommend the ice cream but maybe one day they will add gluten free bread or something for gluten allergy one day.

Very good - loved the Buffalo Chicken Wrap - a generous serving and very fresh tasting. The loaded potato salad was awesome - good creamy flavor and the potatoes are good and done. We visited for ice cream and then found out they had sandwiches, so we returned the next day for lunch and were glad we did!
The Winchester location is in an old bank with the drive-up canopy still in place, providing a nice place to sit if the weather turns sour while you are munching on your treats.
Wheelchair accessible parking and to the building.
They do offer a full lineup of Black Rifle coffee if you are into that - and they have coffee drinks, opening up at 6:30am. The young lady did note that they will be offering breakfast sandwiches as the business gets rolling.
I tried the coffee ice cream and the whiskey toffee - three large scoops and it was less expensive than the national chain dairy stores. Good ice cream!

The food was well packaged for take out, in quality containers.

The only critique I would have is that the ice cream is so thick and heavy, the plastic spoons provided are not up to the task - but that is really nit picking....

A great place to visit right here in Winchester - we are happy to see a new choice for great food in our area!

1st time at Sweet Ellie’s and it is safe to say it was the sweetest! I had the cake flavor ice cream and the color of it was so bright and wonderful! I didn’t get to try the chicken salad on a croissant (I will next time ;) ) but it looked amazinnnnnnn… thanks to Ellie’s and the awesome service ! We will be back!

Sweet Ellie's is great! I really like their chicken salad on croissant. They have my two favorite flavors of ice cream too, Rush Hour (coffee) and Jacked Up (TN Whisky with chocolate bits and caramel sauce), fabulous!

So glad they opened a second location! I have been waiting forever.

Oh my! I got the cajun chicken wrap and from the first bite I was in love!! It was so delicious!! Would highly recommend and would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again!

This place is really great. The kids who work here are nice, and it's a great environment. And the coffee is fantastic, it tastes like actual coffee instead of just chocolate, or caramel. Really glad I found this place!

Great place for hand dipped ice cream. Very friendly staff. Sit outside and watch life happen on the square. Highly recommend 👌

All I can say is OH MY. The Chicken Salad Sandwich with lettuce and tomato is so good, you are filled up by the time it’s over with. EXTREMELY RECOMMENDED TO GO HERE.

Cute little ice cream/deli that use to be a bank drive thru! Cozy inside with lots of outdoor seating! Ice cream was delicious!!

It was my first experience and the ladys were great and very patient with the 3 little ones I had with me.
