People’s Coffee

I went into People's Coffee for the first time this week, as a treat to myself to start the day. I could not have chosen a better place to sit and have a quiet breakfast!
Atmosphere was fantastic. There was a steady flow of customers, but the noise level stayed pleasantly low. I could hear the hum of the coffee machines and fridge unit from my seat, and the speakers nearby were playing music at a really nice volume. It didn't overpower the ambient conversation at all. The music was a good blend of pop/rock/hip hop that I hadn't heard before, which is nice, too.

I was excited about the menu as I'd heard lots of good things! I had the BFF, which is a smashed waffle breakfast sandwich with bacon egg and cheese. First bite and I knew immediately that it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. NO JOKE!!! It wasn't greasy, and I didn't have to wipe my hands when eating it. The flavors were SO good, and it was just bacon eggs and cheddar?? What? HOW?

I got a double shot hot latte with brown sugar syrup I think, and it was a little frothy on top and so smooth.

I also grabbed a few of the dessert waffles to go to bring home for my family, the sinful swirl and chocolate chip ones, and they were also absolutely fantastic. The chocolate chip waffle did NOT skip out on the chocolate. It was a mess and I loved it.

The service was also SO good, the baristas were super friendly, especially Brittany, who gave me good recommendations and happily re-heated my coffee— it did cost $4 but the food was so good I was happy to pay.

I left with a pouch of People's Coffee to brew at home, and guess what? It's delicious.

Best breakfast place I've ever been. 10/10. I love you.

Cool coffee shop w good food options. Iced Americano was good, the og waffle was good too. Lots of great outdoor seating for a sunny day :)

A wonderful coffee shop! It had everything you could want: chill vibes with light music, multiple outlets, easy parking, different seating options (standing table w stools, booths, or chairs), a variety of snacks, and delicious drinks. My vanilla latte was just the right amount of sweetness! I was just passing through but I’d be a regular if I lived in the area.

First time here! I was in and out very quickly and the coffee is great (picture is after several big sips, it was full when I got it)

Elevated quick stop coffee shop. My cappuccino was great and we loved our waffle sandwiches. We tried the Swisskey and the cheese one with added bacon. Everything was so good and the food was well priced.

The coffee is good. It wakes me UP and is very smooth! The people are nice. The waffles are delicious. Overall this place rocks.

Ate here, also had a waffle sandwich. I had one of their seasonal drinks, the Sakura Matcha, made with almond milk (my preference). I’m normally not a matcha person, but this was just the right amount of sweet. Also decently strong but I’m also not a big caffeine drinker, so I’m sure it affected me more so than regular coffee and matcha drinkers. Lovely little place to grab breakfast and drinks!

My favorite coffee spot. Food is awesome! I never tried pumpkin spice before and because I go here a lot, I figured if I was going to try it I would here because everything is banging! And it was. They are always nice to me too even though I know working with the public can be annoying.

Nice place with lots of outdoor seating and good coffee (duh). Also some interesting breakfast sandwiches with waffles for buns (probably insane calorie numbers but tasty).

A little pricey, but does not disappoint. Great cappuccino!

I meet a client here at People's Coffee. The places are connected. I ordered a hot tea and vegan breakfast sandwich. The atmosphere is top-notched, especially the sitting outside. I think this is a great meeting spot especially if the weather allows outdoor seating. They did have heat lamps outside and I thought that was impressive.

I'm so glad that I stopped in on Easter Sunday. I had a great overall experience here. 1-They were open! 2- it was easy to find and there was plenty of parking. Ordering was easy. They had a short list of spring coffee offerings. I selected one of these and I don't regret it! Most of the coffees come with the milk of your choice. I also had an order of smashed waffles. They were delicious and paid well with the coffee. Everything was made fresh to order. I will definitely be back!

First time here. Coffee was great (seasonal violets and blue mocha), and the three smash waffles I got were really good, loved the swirly sin the most! Quick and friendly service and good atmosphere.

People’s has quickly become our go to for breakfast and coffee/tea. All of the breakfast options we’ve tried have been great- love the waffle sandwiches, breakfast burrito, avocado toast, and the grab and go yogurt parfaits. Also love that they have fun rotating seasonal drinks. Currently loving the iced dragonfruit matcha I wish they would keep it on the menu permanently!!

Coming here from Charlottesville VA this weekend, go Heels! but the folks here don't care about football and that's OK. Very cool place, and I don't even drink coffee. Nice staff, good and quick food. the waffle smashes are nice but the avocado toast hits all the marks for freshness and taste. I could eat that every morning, afternoon, or night. It had a perfect fried egg on top of it. Much props to the cook in the back.

This place is fantastic. Coffee is good, flavors in lattes are unique but not overpowering. The waffles are belgian waffles, fresh, and to die for. I've been to a lot of coffee shops and this one takes the cake. Definitely a gem!

I found this place through Offline and I absolutely love it. It's very stylish and had a lot of non-coffee options which I appreciate because I am not a coffee drinker myself. Give a raise to the barista who was working this morning because he had such a positive, upbeat attitude. I wish the location wasn't so far out of the way (I live in downtown Durham) but I will definitely be going back when I'm around!

Delicious coffee and the waffles are awesome! The people are super nice and helpful. The outdoor seating is also nice to have. What else can you ask for? Enjoy.

I absolutely adore this place. All of the employees are so friendly and nice, and I have loved everything on the menu. The coffee is really high quality, and the waffles are really fun. You can buy a box of a dozen to take to parties/gatherings/your office and you will be a huge hit!
